  Hey. Recently I noticed that for many small PC cases hard drives are installed in vertical position while in midi tower and all bigger they are in horizontal position. What impact on hdd (non SSD, just plain hdd with all mechanical parts inside) has vertical position/ Does it decrease life of hdd? Is it more prone to data errors?

  I am using this to mount drive at startup /dev/sda5 /media/virtual ntfs defaults,umask=700,uid=1 0 0 This is working fine but i need things 1)By this method all the folders inside the virtual folder have same permissions but i want 700 for virtual directory and 777 for all other directories 2)I want that if i can add group as well in the mount command. Just like uid, if i couol add gid as well. Is it possible

  I have a sagem livebox 2 (Fiber optic model), and have placed my computer in a DMZ. People from outside of my network can access my comp fine via its external dyndns.org address, yet when I try to call the public dyndns.org address from inside my network, I get redirected to the internal admin site on the router. How can I make it so that I can see my comp from the public address like everyone else? What kinds of questions should I be asking or looking into? Thanks

• Windows 7 Aero Theme when on Battery

  Windows 7 has the full and basic aero themes that can be changed inside personalization. Windows used to automatically disable Windows Aero (transparency) when I unplug my laptop from the mains. I reset the theme and now it doesn't do this anymore. I can't seem to find how to enable this again. I've checked the advanced power options and control panel but turning back on this feature is eluding me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

It instead redirects to http://localhost:8080/wp-oct/live/. Why is 8080 showing up?

• Mac: Cannot open the parent directory Library

  I really am about to go crazy because nothing worked out. I'm trying to access the Library folder on my OS Lion however all the tutorials related to this subject involves opening the user library however I would like to access the Library where the 'WebServer' folder is located when you enable web-sharing. Whenever I try to access it it gives me the error that I am not allowed to see what's inside and I checked my status, saying that I am an admin but it still occurs. Any help?

The DC7100 is a small form factor desktop while the m8530f has a mATX board with lots of extra features like front I/O and HP Personal Media Drive bay. Both of these have very little space (especially the DC7100) and don't have any other places to mount fans.
