    I have the following list: [('Steve Buscemi', 'Mr. Pink'), ('Chris Penn', 'Nice Guy Eddie'), ...] I need to convert it to a string in the following format: "(Steve Buscemi, Mr. Pink), (Chris Penn, Nice Guy Eddit), ..." I tried doing str = ', '.join(item for item in items) but run into the following error: TypeError: sequence item 0: expected string, tuple found How would I do the above formatting?

    Hi, I'm developing a Work item Custom Control and I need to use the standard VS's Merge Wizard for items in source control from my code to allow to user choose the target branch, resolve conflicts etc. I'm pretty sure it's possible in some way (even through the reflection), but I just can't find the proper class in any of VS client assemblies (Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Controls.dll, Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.dll). I am looking for a way to group them by Color, but with a maximum of 2 items per group (sorting is not important). For me this doesn't work! class PublishBase(models.Model): class Meta: abstract = True get_latest_by = 'created' permissions = (('change_foreign_items', "Can change other user's items"),) EDIT: Not working means it fails silently. Permission is not created, as it wouldn't exist on the models inheriting from this class.

    I am using UITabbarController with 8 to 9 items (these are UINavigation controllers) It is easy to select an item programmatically using tabbarcontroller.selectedIdex = x; if x value is between 0 to 4 then it's work as expected but if it's greater than 4 then it's select "More" as a view controller. How can we programmatically select an item under "More" list ? any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance
