  • Count white spaces to the left of a line in a text file using C++

    - by insertable
Hi all, I am just trying to count the number of white spaces to the LEFT of a line from a text file. I have been using count( line.begin(), line.end(), ' ' ); but obviously that includes ALL white spaces to the left, in between words and to the right. So basically what I'm wanting it to do is once it hits a non-space character stop it from counting the white spaces. Thanks everyone.

  • How do I change the title of the "back" button on a Navigation Bar

    - by Dale
Currently the left bar button default value is the title of the view that loaded the current one, in other words the view to be shown when the button is pressed (back button). I want to change the text shown on the button to something else. I tried putting the following line of code in the view controller's viewDidLoad method but it doesn't seem to work. self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem.title = @"Log Out"; What should I do? Thanks.

I am developing a web service and I need to send a username and password to the service in a GET method. Is it OK to send this information in the uri as long as it's going over a secure channel like ssl? In other words, can I have a uri that looks like /users/{username}/{cleartext_password}?

  • Mimic Windows' 'Run' window in .NET

    - by chaiguy
I would like to mimic the Run command in Windows in my program. In other words, I would like to give the user the ability to "run" an arbitrary piece of text exactly as would happen if they typed it into the run box. While System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() gets me close, I can't seem to get certain things like environment variables such as %AppData% working. I just keep getting the message "Windows cannot find '%AppData%'..."

  • Tcl question - how to list functions in a namespace

    - by Bub Bradlee
I am trying to list all of the functions a namespace has in it (warning - I'm really new to Tcl, so I'll probably use the wrong words for parts of Tcl). For example, I have a tcl shell someone compiled for me (if that's the right way to phrase it), and I know at least one function exists, let's call it blah::do_something I know in ruby there are ways to list all the functions in a module/namespace. How would I find out what other functions are available in the blah namespace in Tcl? Thanks in advance

  • Commercial Java LIB / API to read and write Word 2007 docs

    - by AlfaTeK
I need a simple to use / good docs / good support java lib to read and write word documents, namely word 2007 support (and word 2010 support planned). As the project I'm in has budget and time-constraints I don't mind buying a commercial lib :) I know they are XML files in a somewhat open format but I really don't want to waste time understanding the XML specification. Any good recommendations from happy customers? (Right now my choice is going to Aspose.Words for Java)

  • How do I create a regular expression to match a word misspelling the original case sensitivity?

    - by Patrick Allaert
I want to discover wrong spelling of "FooBar" in sentence: "This is a 'FooBar' example where I should match different spelling of fooBar such as: foobar, FOOBAR or even fOoBaR but not foobarS!" In this sentence, I would like to match words (in order): fooBar, foobar, FOOBAR, fOoBaR and not: FooBar (correct spelling), foobarS (not the same word) Is there an existing solution using Perl Regular Expression? This is intended to be used with grep -P Thanks

  • Does string concatenation use StringBuilder internally?

    - by JamesBrownIsDead
Three of my coworkers just told me that there's no reason to use a StringBuilder in place of concatenation using the + operator. In other words, this is fine to do with a bunch of strings: myString1 + myString2 + myString3 + myString4 + mySt... The rationale that they used was that since .NET 2, the C# compiler will build the same IL if you use the + operator as if you used a StringBuilder. This is news to me. Are they correct?

    - by fatmatto
Hi everybody! I have to set some routing rules in my php application, and they should be in the form /%var/something/else/%another_var In other words i beed a regex that returns me every URI piece marked by the % character, String marked by % represent var names so they can be almost every string. another example: from /%lang/module/controller/action/%var_1 i want the regex to extract lang and var_1 i tried something like /.*%(.*)[\/$]/ but it doesn't work.....
