  • Example of a RoboCup 3D Soccer bot?

    I'd like to write a bot to play in the 3D RoboCup simulated soccer league. Can anyone point me at some code that already deals with communication with the server, etc? Ideally this would be .NET code, but an example produced in any language would still be useful. EDIT For anyone who is not familiar with the RoboCup 3D Soccer league, check out this YouTube video.   • Is developing iPhone apps in any language other than Objective-C ever a truly viable solution?

    I hear all this stuff about crazy ways to build iPhone apps using Ruby or C# under .NET or the like. Even stuff about developing apps on Windows using Java, or auto-generated apps using Flash CS5 or something. Now, I've never really spent any time at all investigating these claims—I just brushed them off as clumsy or cumbersome or down-right claptrap—but I'm a proud Objective-C programmer who's perhaps a little worried as to whether there's any truth in all of this?

  • Can I programmatically find out if a drive is in use?

    Is there any way of programmatically finding out if a mapped drive is currently in use? If I try to unmount the drive with net use, and the drive is being used, it will tell me that the drive is in use and prompt me to take further action. I'd like to be able to unmap drive automatically if it's no longer being used. The system is a Windows XP.

It should define a simple matching syntax like * matches any char and alike.   • Accessing Erlang business layer via REST

I would like to avail of OTP features like distributed applications, etc. My question is how do I expose gen_server calls/casts to other applications? Obviously I could make RPC calls via language specific "bridges" like OTP.net or JInterface, but I want a consistent way to access it like REST.
