  • Is there a library to display a Virtual Human [WPF]

    - by modosansreves
    While there are a lot of 3D libraries out there, I'm in struggle to find one suitable for WPF. Basically, I want a Character Animation engine, which loads bone hierarchy and allows me to manipulate the skinned mesh. I know, this is a classic topic for all the 3D engines. And they are made for building games. How do I display a Skinned Character in a WPF application?

  • How to get address of va_arg?

    - by lionbest
    I hack some old C API and i got a compile error with the following code: void OP_Exec( OP* op , ... ) { int i; va_list vl; va_start(vl,op); for( i = 0; i < op->param_count; ++i ) { switch( op->param_type[i] ) { case OP_PCHAR: op->param_buffer[i] = va_arg(vl,char*); // ok it works break; case OP_INT: op->param_buffer[i] = &va_arg(vl,int); // error here break; // ... more here } } op->pexec(op); va_end(vl); } The error with gcc version 4.4.1 (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu9) was: main.c|55|error: lvalue required as unary ‘&’ operand So why exactly it's not possible here to get a pointer to argument? How to fix it? This code is executed very often with different OP*, so i prefer to not allocate extra memory. Is it possible to iterate over va_list knowing only the size of arguments?

  • checking virtual sub domains

    I create a project that check the sub domain and redirect to the exist subdomain ( username ) but I can't find out why when the username is in database it can't show it . on local system it works finely .. but when I upload it on server it not works .. of course I change the commented place to uncomment for test .. but it's not working .. it shows this error : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. My code is this in page load : //Uri MyUrl = new Uri(Request.Url.ToString()); //string Url = MyUrl.Host.ToString(); Uri MyUrl = new Uri("http://Subdomain.Mydomain.com/"); string Url = MyUrl.Host.ToString(); string St1 = Url.Split('.')[0]; if ((St1.ToLower() == "Mydomain") || (St1.ToLower() == "Mydomain")) { Response.Redirect("Intro.aspx"); } else if (St1.ToLower() == "www") { string St2 = Url.Split('.')[1]; if ((St2.ToLower() == "Mydomain") || (St2.ToLower() == "Mydomain")) { Response.Redirect("Intro.aspx"); } else { object Blogger = ClsPublic.GetBlogger(St2); if (Blogger != null) { lblBloger.Text = Blogger.ToString(); if (Request.QueryString["id"] != null) { GvImage.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceImageId"; GvComments.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceCommentsId"; this.BindItemsList(); GetSubComments(); } else { SqlConnection scn = new SqlConnection(ClsPublic.GetConnectionString()); SqlCommand scm = new SqlCommand("SELECT TOP (1) fId FROM tblImages WHERE (fxAccepted = 1) AND (fBloging = 1) AND (fxSender = @fxSender) ORDER BY fId DESC", scn); scm.Parameters.AddWithValue("@fxSender", lblBloger.Text); scn.Open(); lblLastNo.Text = scm.ExecuteScalar().ToString(); scn.Close(); GvImage.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceLastImage"; GvComments.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceCommentsWId"; this.BindItemsList(); GetSubComments(); } if (Session["User"] != null) { MultiViewCommenting.ActiveViewIndex = 0; } else { MultiViewCommenting.ActiveViewIndex = 1; } } else { Response.Redirect("Intro.aspx"); } } } else { object Blogger = ClsPublic.GetBlogger(St1); if (Blogger != null) { lblBloger.Text = Blogger.ToString(); if (Request.QueryString["id"] != null) { GvImage.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceImageId"; GvComments.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceCommentsId"; this.BindItemsList(); GetSubComments(); } else { SqlConnection scn = new SqlConnection(ClsPublic.GetConnectionString()); SqlCommand scm = new SqlCommand("SELECT TOP (1) fId FROM tblImages WHERE (fxAccepted = 1) AND (fBloging = 1) AND (fxSender = @fxSender) ORDER BY fId DESC", scn); scm.Parameters.AddWithValue("@fxSender", lblBloger.Text); scn.Open(); lblLastNo.Text = scm.ExecuteScalar().ToString(); scn.Close(); GvImage.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceLastImage"; GvComments.DataSourceID = "SqlDataSourceCommentsWId"; this.BindItemsList(); GetSubComments(); } if (Session["User"] != null) { MultiViewCommenting.ActiveViewIndex = 0; } else { MultiViewCommenting.ActiveViewIndex = 1; } } else { Response.Redirect("Intro.aspx"); } } and my class : public static object GetBlogger(string User) { SqlConnection scn = new SqlConnection(ClsPublic.GetConnectionString()); SqlCommand scm = new SqlCommand("SELECT fUsername FROM tblMembers WHERE fUsername = @fUsername", scn); scm.Parameters.AddWithValue("@fUsername", User); scn.Open(); object Blogger = scm.ExecuteScalar(); if (Blogger != null) { SqlCommand sccm = new SqlCommand("SELECT COUNT(fId) AS Exp1 FROM tblImages WHERE (fxSender = @fxSender) AND (fxAccepted = 1)", scn); sccm.Parameters.AddWithValue("fxSender", Blogger); object HasQuty = sccm.ExecuteScalar(); scn.Close(); if (HasQuty != null) { int Count = Int32.Parse(HasQuty.ToString()); if (Count < 10) { Blogger = null; } } } return Blogger; } Which place if my code has problem ?

  • Address calling class

    - by Samuel
    I have an abstract class Moveable with the method abstract void move() which is extended by the class Bullet and the abstract class Character, and Character is extended by the class Survivor and the class Zombie. In Survivor and Bullet the move() method doesnt require any parameters while in the class Zombie the move() method depends on the actual position of the survivor. The survivor and multiple zombies are created in the class Gui. I wanted to access the survivor in Zombie - what's the best way of doing this? In Gui i wrote a method getSurvivor() but i don't see how to access this method in Zombie? I am aware that as a workaround i could just pass a [Survivor survivor] as parameter in move() and ignore it in Bullet and Survivor, but that feels so ... bad practice.

  • Creating a virtual, data-driven section of a Wordpress-powered site

    - by lgomez
    Hello all, I want to create a plugin for wordpress to automatically serve pages containing data pulled from a provider's API. The API returns one or more records containing data for that record and I simply want to have the plugin intercept the request, call the API with parameters pulled from the request URI and display the data using a template that I can either let them upload to the server or let them copy and paste into the plugins admin settings. For example, I may want one of my wordpress installations to show products pulled from such an API under the url "example.com/products". The plugin would catch that request, extract the variables from the URL, call the API and render the template with the returned results. I'd like to avoid requiring editing the .htaccess file like some caching plugins do. Some of the admins of these pages won't know how to do that or simply won't have access to the .htaccess file. Thanks!

  • How do I find the current virtual terminal

    - by camh
    I am working around a problem in Ubuntu 10.04 where after resume, the mouse cursor disappears. This can be "fixed" by running chvt 1; chvt 7 in a script in /etc/pm/sleep.d, such that those commands run on thaw and resume. However, the X console is not always vt #7, so chvt 7 is wrong in those cases. What I would like to do is find out the current vt in the fix-up script and make sure I change back to that vt. How can I find the current vt? (tty(1) just reports "not a tty")

  • How to Set up Virtual Static Subdomain

    - by Chip D
    Given current rewrite rules at http://www.example.com/: Options +FollowSymlinks +Includes RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.example\.com [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^$ RewriteRule ^/?(.*) http://www.example.com/$1 [L,R,NE] # Remove all "index.html"s. RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \ /(.+/)?index\.html(\?.*)?\ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+/)?index\.html$ /%1 [R=301,L] # Remove all "index.php"s. RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \ /(.+/)?index\.php(\?.*)?\ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+/)?index\.php$ /%1 [R=301,L] I'm attempting to serve some site assets (.png|.ico|.jpg|.gif|.css|.js) from a static subdomain like http://static.example.com which my Apache 1.3 shared host (GoDaddy) has mapped to a subdirectory for file management (http://www.example.com/static/). Currently these assets live in same-site subdirectories such as images/, js/, css/, etc. (1) Something...maybe the "+www" rewrite rule?...is not letting me access the subdomain. Is this likely caused by my rewrite rules above, or do I need to set up DNS changes with the host to enable access to the subdirectory, in addition to changing the rewrite rules? (2) Do I have to move those assets to that subdirectory and change all references sitewide? Would that perform the fastest? (3) Or can .htaccess make this much easier? (4) Should my first rewrite rule above include L,R=301,NE instead of [L,R,NE]?

  • Should we install the OS on an SSD or not when running virtual machines?

    - by Raghu Dodda
    I have a new Dell Mobile Precision M6500 laptop with 8 GB RAM. it has two hard drives - 500 GB @7200 RPM and a 128 GB SSD. The main purpose of these laptop is software development in virtual machines. The plan is to install the base OS (Windows 7) and all the programs in the 500 GB drive, and let the SSD only contain the virtual machine images. It is my understanding that the we get most performance from the virtual machines if the images are on a separate hard drive than the base OS. Is this the way to go, or should I install the OS on the SSD as well? What are the pros and cons? The virtual machine images would be between 20 - 30 GB, and I might run 1 or 2 at a time.

  • Socket Communication C#- IP Address

    - by Ahmet Altun
    I have a socket application which I can use in local network, at home. I can make them communicate for example from 192.168.x.x to 192.168.y.y ip addresses. What should I do if I want to use the application over internet, from a remote machine, not local. For example which ip addresses should I use if my friend who lives another country wants to access my application.

  • Virtual directories as DB queries

    I have a site, e.g. site.com I would like users to be able to access it in their locale at site.com/somecity This is similar to craigslist, but they do it with subdomains e.g. sfbay.craigslist.org Using Apache HTTP server. MySql for DB. If you can provide a brief explanation and perhaps links to more thorough discussions, I would be quite interested in learning. I'm developing a web-app and wonder if I should focus some time to read up on Apache, or should I focus more of my time on server-side programming. Thanks!

  • Address book Phone number (+45) prefix causing crash!

    - by CCDEV
    Hi Guys... I am having trouble getting phone numbers from the iPhone Addressbook. There is no problem when the number do not contain a country code prefix like +45, but if it does, my app crashes... Is this a known issue? I haven't been able to find anything about it... Thanks EDIT: I get phonenumber like this: -(void)getContact { ABPeoplePickerNavigationController *pp = [[ABPeoplePickerNavigationController alloc] init]; pp.displayedProperties = [NSArray arrayWithObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:kABPersonPhoneProperty]]; pp.peoplePickerDelegate = self; [self presentModalViewController:pp animated:YES]; [pp release]; } - (void)peoplePickerNavigationControllerDidCancel:(ABPeoplePickerNavigationController *)peoplePicker { // assigning control back to the main controller [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; } - (BOOL)peoplePickerNavigationController:(ABPeoplePickerNavigationController *)peoplePicker shouldContinueAfterSelectingPerson:(ABRecordRef)person { return YES; } -(BOOL)peoplePickerNavigationController:(ABPeoplePickerNavigationController *)peoplePicker shouldContinueAfterSelectingPerson:(ABRecordRef)person property:(ABPropertyID)property identifier:(ABMultiValueIdentifier)identifier { ABMultiValueRef phoneProperty = ABRecordCopyValue(person,property); saveString = (NSString *)ABMultiValueCopyValueAtIndex(phoneProperty,identifier); saveString = [saveString stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@" " withString:@""]; nummerTextField.text = saveString; }

  • Dynamically retrievng UserControl's Virtual Path

    - by Kobojunkie
    I have an application with the FrontEnd separated into one Project file and the Codebehind/classes separated into a completely different class library. What I need is a way to, from the UserControl Type, obtain it's VirtualPath. Typically, we would have this in code Board uc = (Board)Page.LoadControl(@"~\Board.ascx"); But I want is something like this Board uc = (Board)Page.LoadControl(Board.VirtualPath); OR Board uc = Page.LoadControl(Board); Anyone have an idea how I can accomplish this? Thanks in advance

  • Adding a web address to a <a href="value">

    - by Michael Robinson
    I have an upload script that write a index.html file, I modified it to mail me the results, however the point to the root, since the email isn't in the root, the image doesn't load. How do I append the code to add "http://www.home.html/uploaded" prior to the ". $value ." so that the images show up in the email. Here is portion of PHP that assigns the images to a $result: // Process value of Imagedata field, this is JPEG-files array foreach ($_FILES[Imagedata][name] as $key => $value) { $uploadfile = $destination_dir . basename($_FILES[Imagedata][name][$key]); if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['Imagedata']['tmp_name'][$key], $uploadfile)) { $result .= "File uploaded: <a href='". $value . "'>" . $value . "</a><br>"; } } // $result .= "<br>"; Here is what I'm now receiving in the email, : <!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title>Upload results</title> </head> <body> AdditionalStringVariable: pass additional data here<br><a> href='gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'><img border = '0' src='QIU_thumb_gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'/></a><br><br><br>File uploaded: <a href='gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg'>gallery_grannylovesthis_l.jpg</a><br><br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_VISIBILITY : 2<br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_DESCR : Requiredtest<br> GlobalControlData: PHOTO_TITLE : Requiredtest<br><br>gallery_grannylovesthis_l.png<br> control: , value: <br> </body> </html> Thanks in advance for any guidance...I have a feeling it's something simple.

  • Sending Email to a specific address without requiring user to specify their mail server details

    - by sgmoore
    Can anyone recommend a simple and reliable method of sending email notifications and possibly log files attachments from a C# program without requiring the installer or the user to configure the program by specifying server details and email addresses etc. (Mainly because they won't know the details, but also because they could change) The program will normally be run as a service of a Windows Server, but can be run on a client. I tried connecting to our own mail server and sending a email to myself, but some ISP's are blocking Port 25 on all servers but their own, so that method isn't working reliably. Tried sending email through gmail but that was less successful as the port they used was blocked by firewalls. Ditto webservices connecting on weird ports. Trying to use the local smptservice but did not work either. It would be nice, but not essential if it was not dependant on my own Internet connection/Servers. (Don't mind them being delayed, but prefer them not to get lost). Are there any webservices on http/https that allow you to do this sort of thing? TIA

  • Can I use the [] operator in C++ to create virtual arrays

    - by Shane MacLaughlin
    I have a large code base, originally C ported to C++ many years ago, that is operating on a number of large arrays of spatial data. These arrays contain structs representing point and triangle entities that represent surface models. I need to refactor the code such that the specific way these entities are stored internally varies for specific scenarios. For example if the points lie on a regular flat grid, I don't need to store the X and Y coordinates, as they can be calculated on the fly, as can the triangles. Similarly, I want to take advantage of out of core tools such as STXXL for storage. The simplest way of doing this is replacing array access with put and get type functions, e.g. point[i].x = XV; becomes Point p = GetPoint(i); p.x = XV; PutPoint(i,p); As you can imagine, this is a very tedious refactor on a large code base, prone to all sorts of errors en route. What I'd like to do is write a class that mimics the array by overloading the [] operator. As the arrays already live on the heap, and move around with reallocs, the code already assumes that references into the array such as point *p = point + i; may not be used. Is this class feasible to write? For example writing the methods below in terms of the [] operator; void MyClass::PutPoint(int Index, Point p) { if (m_StorageStrategy == RegularGrid) { int xoffs,yoffs; ComputeGridFromIndex(Index,xoffs,yoffs); StoreGridPoint(xoffs,yoffs,p.z); } else m_PointArray[Index] = p; } } Point MyClass::GetPoint(int Index) { if (m_StorageStrategy == RegularGrid) { int xoffs,yoffs; ComputeGridFromIndex(Index,xoffs,yoffs); return GetGridPoint(xoffs,yoffs); // GetGridPoint returns Point } else return m_PointArray[Index]; } } My concern is that all the array classes I've seen tend to pass by reference, whereas I think I'll have to pass structs by value. I think it should work put other than performance, can anyone see any major pitfalls with this approach. n.b. the reason I have to pass by value is to get point[a].z = point[b].z + point[c].z to work correctly where the underlying storage type varies.

  • How to connect 2 virtual machines(VMWare Workstation 7.0) in a separate network?

    - by goluhaque
    There are supposed to be 2 networks: i) The first one is the one which all the virtual machines and the host share(Host-only condition). This one is easily achievable for me, as an amateurish beginner. ii)The second network is the one in which only 2 virtual machines are to be connected. These 2 virtual machines should also be connected to the Network(i). I understand that for the 2 virtual hosts that are to be connected in a separate networks simultaneously, it means that they need to have 2 IPs, and hence 2 ports(physical)/ethernet interfaces?
