• LINQ display row numbers

  I simply want to include a row number against the returned results of my query. I found the following post that describes what I am trying to achieve but gives me an exception http://vaultofthoughts.net/LINQRowNumberColumn.aspx "An expression tree may not contain an assignment operator" In MS SQL I would just use the ROWNUMBER() function, I'm simply looking for the equivalent in LINQ.

The first part works fine but the second step fails as the assembly is still in use. This is the case although I loaded the assembly in its own AppDomain and after I finished step 1 unloaded the AppDomain.

• Need a scenario where would fail Array.ConstrainedCopy()

  Hi, Just playing around with some of the APIs in .NET and I can't seem to find a way to cause Array.ConstrainedCopy() fail. According to MSDN, it's treated as an atomic operation. If it fails during the copy, the entire call fails resulting in no elements being copied as opposed to its Array.Copy() counterpart. Can someone demonstrate this or tell me how to do this?
