  • Looking for a script/tool to dump a list of installed features and programs on Windows Server 2008 R

    Hi, The same compiled .Net / C++ / Com program does different things on two seemingly same computers. Both have DOZENS of things installed on them. I would like to figure out what the difference between the two is by looking at an ASCII diff. Before that I need to "serialize" the list of installed things in a plain readable format - sorted alphabetically + one item per line. A Python script would be ideal, but I also have Perl, PowerShell installed. Thank you.

    Hi, I have the following LINQ query: List<string> Types = (List<string>) Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727") Where(x => System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(x).Contains("Microsoft")) .ToList<string>(); How could I modify this so it can only get the values stored in a collection, without writing another LINQ query (which I assume will impact performance?)?     I have to projects in my .net windows forms, in one form(1st Project) i have timer control already running. On some request i want to start that timer from the form1 of (second project). If we are creating new object in second project for the 1st project(Which is currently in running thread) we will not be able to start the timer for the current instance. I tried downloading the version 1.6.0 of VSS plugin from http://sourceforge.net/projects/vssplugin/ , but that did not help as it seems this version of the plugin does not support WSAD 5.1 as it uses eclipse 2.1 Any help would be appreciated.

  • iPhone 3rd Party Controls?

    I was wondering if there are any 3rd party controls for use with the iPhone that are available, even better if usable from Interface Builder. From what I can gather, the answer is no. I come from a Microsoft .NET background where of course there are tons of controls available from 3rd parties. I'm curious if this is a general Mac development ecosystem fact, i.e. no 3rd party controls for sale, or just an iPhone one, or if I've just missed finding them.

    KEYEVENTF_SILENT is a constant used in calls like this one: keybd_event(VK_OFF, 0, KEYEVENTF_SILENT, 0); keybd_event(VK_OFF, 0, KEYEVENTF_SILENT | KEYEVENTF_KEYUP, 0); But since I am using .net I don't know what the actual value of KEYEVENTF_SILENT is.
