• Microsoft charting control not displaying in Internet Explore using asp.net mvc

  Hello Friends, I implemented Microsoft charting controls for pie and wave charts. It's working in Firefox, but when I try IE the chart is not displaying and when I refresh the page couple of times its displying. I am using asp.net mvc appliction with jquery.. Can anybody have the suggestion about this? thanks

• Is it possible to convert text to shape in VML /canvas/SVG ?

  Hello, I need to display a text in 3D using vml/canvas/svg and do some transformation to the shape of the text like the effect of Ctrl+T in photoshop, even align a line of text to a curve, is there a way to convert text to shape first? The only thing close is getImageData() in firefox which is not ideal but OK. Any better methods? Using browser-specific hacks or voodoo is OK, but no Flash please :)

  I'm loading jQuery from google on my site (http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js) which is minned and gzip'd. In firefox, the jquery file shows as a 19k request, but Safari shows it as a 56k request. I'm assuming then that Safari is not accepting it as a gzip'd file. What's the deal? It's coming from google and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be gzip'd

• Seems like IE animates/processes my loading.gif even though I have set display:none?

  I believe this is happening because whenever I perform an ajax request (upon which the loading.gif is set to display:block) the animation does not start at the same position. The starting point feels random which led me to think the animation still goes on behind the scenes in IE. In Firefox the animation starts from "scratch" all the time. Any ideas?

The files are streamed via PHP and are located in an upload folder on my server.
