  • Is a functional spec a part of the System requirement spec?

    - by user970696
I wonder, sources like wikipedia or templates I found shows that Functional spec is a part of System requirement documents. I always thought that SRD is just overall decsription of the system, with all functional and non functional requirements. Yet I thought that Functional spec is more detailed and it is a separate document, while SRD is high level customer-created description (how is this one called then?) Could anyone help to make this clear for me?

  • What is Site Rubix? Find the Answer Here!

Online Marketing has really taken off lately, and that has come as no surprise. Many people who currently work "for the man" have found that man to be untrustworthy, as so many have lost their jobs through cut backs and downsizing.

  • Wordpress theme usage rights with GPLv2

    - by user3177012
I've been searching for a great looking wordpress theme to use on a small magazine website idea that I had and I've just found one that would be ideal, with lots of blank spaces specifically designed for adverts - But then when I came to download it there was a notice: License: GPLv2 or later. Type: Non-Commercial Does this mean that you can use the theme but not use the advert space? What are the limitations?

  • wamp installed can't find localhost

    - by Tac
I installed a WAMP package on a Windows 7 machine and everything ( Apache, php, mySql, phpMyAdmin) appear to have installed correctly. However when I try to access localhost or phpMyAdmin via the browser, I get "Server Not Found". I've tried using localhost, 127.0.0.1 in the browser. I've checked the httpd file it says "Listen 80". C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts says "127.0.0.1 localhost" Apache log file doen't show any errors. Suggestions appreciated.

  • fast 3d point -> cuboid volume intersection test

    - by user1130477
Im trying to test whether a point lies within a 3d volume defined by 8 points. I know I can use the plane equation to check that the signed distance is always -1 for all 6 sides, but does anyone know of a faster way or could point me to some code? Thanks EDIT: I should add that ideally the test would produce 3 linear interpolation parameters which would lie in the range 0..1 to indicate that the point is within the volume for each axis (since I will have to calculate these later if the point is found to be in the volume)

  • Search Engine Optimization on a Shoe String Budget (aka DIY SEO) - Part I

SEO is critical to having your small/local business being found online. There are services out there that charge hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month for this service and frankly many of them are worth that and more for the qualified leads they help send your way. However for the small business person there often is no budget for this so they have to have a more DIY (do it yourself) approach at the start. This article is the first in a series that outlines some basics before you start spending money.

  • Running Ubuntu on a Microprocessing Board

    - by Schmidt2626
I'm pursuing a project that requires the use of a microprocessing board that can run Ubuntu. I have been searching the web, and have found some relatively expensive TI boards that will run it, as well as a board from Adapteva that will run it. Anybody have any suggestions on good boards/how to find boards that run Ubuntu? Many boards obviously run linux and are easy to find, but finding ones that run the Ubuntu Distro is a bit harder.

  • Ok to use table for calculator? [closed]

    - by max
I'm a php/mysql guy, and have been trying to brush up on my frontend skills. So this weekend I made a four function calculator in javascript. But when I started to work on the presentation, I found myself adding extraneous markup just to achieve what a table tag naturally does. Just so we're on the same page, this is the intended layout: 789+ 456- 123x c0=/ It it possible to generate this grid using neither a table, nor extraneous markup? Thank you.

  • Is it possible to tell a search engine not to index a specific section of an HTML page? [closed]

    - by Justin
Possible Duplicate: Preventing robots from crawling specific part of a page I know you can use robots.txt to ignore entire pages or sections of your site, but is there a way to tell cralwers like the Googlebot to ignore specific sections of an HTML page? I found this blog post that discusses one method, but it appears only to work for the Google Search Appliance, not the Googlebot. Is there some method for at least Google for to do this?
