According to the java API, the constructor Date(year, month, day) is depreciated. I know that I can replace it with the following code:
Calendar myCal = Calendar.getInstance();
myCal.set(Calendar.YEAR, theYear);
myCal.set(Calendar.MONTH, theMonth);
myCal.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, theDay);
Date theDate = myCal.getTime();
However, I would like something shorter to replace it with (ideally one-two lines).
Any suggestions?
Hi,
i have this code:
if(sfContext::getInstance()->get('form_signin')){
//...
}
but im getting this error:
The "form_signin" object does not
exist in the current context.
Any right way to check if a variable saved in sfContext is set or not ?

Using Objective C, cocoa touch framework.
I have few image files in my iphone application. Some file names are in english and some are in japanese like "????????Icon .png"
I'm creating views programatically and not using IB.
My code is not able to read files with name in japanese language.
How can I get this work done.
Haven't seen this before so hopefully someone has a easy solve, I have a 3 feature panel divs side by side, what I want happen is the 1st panel has a "hover" class added so I can change the background etc and then on a timed interval the hover class jumps to the next panel then the next panel then back to the start on a loop.
Also on a side note can you keep the code in mind to be able to add more then 3 feature divs so you could have for example 6 or more or less etc.
I need to take a web page and extract the address information from the page. Some are easier than others. I'm looking for a firefox plugin, windows app, or VB.NET code that will help me get this done.
Ideally I would like to have a web page on our admin (ASP.NET/VB.NET) where you enter a URL and it scraps the page and returns a Dataset that I can put in a Grid.
I have alot of wav files stored in sqlite3, but when I retrieve one of them, I can't play it. The retrieve code is
NSData *soundData = (NSDATA *)sqlite3_column_blob(statement, 0);
mPlayer = [[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithData:soundData error:&error];
The data is stored as binary and it's there when I search for it using sqlite3.
I am new to iphone development.I have static text and 5 images to be displayed in the scroll view such that as the text scrolls and when it finished it should be followed by the images in the scroll view. Is there a way to say something like:
sizeof(type)? Or type.Size?
Right now I am looking at using code like:
if (type.Equals(typeof(int)))
return sizeof(int);
else if (type.Equals(typeof(long)))
return sizeof(long);
etc, etc, for every single data type.
There must be an cleaner solution, no?
Hi All,
I need some practical examples of stubs and drivers with respect to top-down and bottom-up approaches to testing. I don't require code here. Just the scenario based examples.
I want to return the number of a month and i made a function but it always returns 0
this is my code:
public int getNrMonth(String s)
{
int nr=0;
if (s.Equals("January"))
nr = 1
if (s.Equals("February"))
nr = 2;
return nr;
}
Could someone tell me wath is wrong please? I'm beginner!
right, so i just tossed this super simple code example into a Flash CS4 IDE frame script, but it doesn't output anything in the console. i'm simply rolling over my mouse over the window, not clicking anything, and nothing is happening. wtf?!
stage.addEventListener(Event.MOUSE_LEAVE, traceMouse);
function traceMouse(Evt:Event):void
{
trace("Mouse Left Stage");
}
Let's say I have the following code:
struct mytype
{
~mytype() { /* do something like call Mix_CloseAudio etc */ }
};
int main()
{
mytype instant;
init_stuff();
start();
return 0;
}
Is that destructor guaranteed to be called even if exit() is used from somewhere inside start() ?
While there are lots of questions about coding style, beautifying, and enforcement, I haven't found any example C++ files that are used as a quick reference for style. The file should be one or two pages long and exemplify a given coding standard/style.
For example, the Google C++ Style Guide is a great reference, but I think a one to two page piece of code written in their style pinned to a wall would be more useful in day-to-day use.
Do any of these already exist?
The following code does not give a warning with g++ 4.1.1 and -Wall.
int octalStrToInt(const std::string& s)
{
return strtol(s.c_str(), 0, 8);
}
I was expecting a warning because strtol returns a long int but my function is only returning a plain int. Might other compilers emit a warning here? Should I cast the return value to int in this case as a good practice?
I have to write mysql query for fetching result from my database with a specified date and code like ABH18 or ABH17 or ABH19.I write the querly like below.
select * from tbl_transaction where trans_name like 'ABH19%' or trans_name like 'ABH18%' or trans_name like 'ABH17%' or trans_name like 'ABH15%' and date_of_vazhipad='2013-11-20' and trans_status='Completed successfully.'
There are no result in the DB satisfying all above conditions.But i got result with different dates.But i want to ensure the date_of_vazhipad='2013-11-20' so that the query may work properly
Thanks in advance
Is there any good reason why most rails developers use observe_field when they want trigger specific action when text input box is changed, rather then using onkeydown? I would expect, that in most of the cases using observe_field results much more code generated than just using native hook onkeydown.
I'd like to be able to debug .net code using Mdbg. Is there any way of getting it besides installing Visual Studio ( assuming this is a valid way of obtaining ) ?
All I've been able to find is how to specify the sensor parameter:
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/#SpecifyingSensor
But nowhere does it say how to actually USE it. Isn't the whole point to be able to get the user's current lat/long coordinates through the device GPS, or am I mistaken?
I have a method that takes a List<int>, which is a list of IDs. The source of my data is a Dictionary<int, string> where the integers are what I want a list of. Is there a better way to get this than the following code?
var list = new List<int>();
foreach (var kvp in myDictionary)
{
list.Add(pair.Key);
}
ExecuteMyMethod(list);
The title pretty much sums it up, it puts the following line of code in:
<% foreach (var item in Model) { %>
As the View is auto-generated and uses reflection to work out exactly what item is, so you get intellisense and everything, I just wonder, why do they use var rather than the actual type?
When I use the annotation:
@XmlRootElement(name="RootElement", namespace="namespace")
class RootElement {
to create xml file from java, it creates the root element as:
<ns2:RootElement xmlns:ns2="namespace">
but I wanted to create without the "ns2", like:
<RootElement xmlns="namespace">
Any idea how to fix it?
Reletad link (example I used to create the xml):

I have Perl code:
my $s = "The+quick+brown+fox+jumps+over+the+lazy+dog+that+is+my+dog";
I want to replace every + with space and dog with cat.
I have this regular expression:
$s =~ s/\+(.*)dog/ ${1}cat/g;
But, it only matches the first occurrence of + and last dog.
