• Emacs bulk indent for Python

  Working with Python in Emacs if I want to add a try/catch to a block of code, I often find that I am having to indent the whole block, line by line. In Emacs, how do you indent the whole block at once. I am not an experienced Emacs user, but just find it is the best tool for working through ssh. I am using Emacs on the command line(Ubuntu), not as a gui, if that makes any difference.

• Qt releasing memory occopied by unneeded images

  I have a QML Flickable with 3 QML image elements that cycle through 8 image files. My problem is for each new image it loads into memory it does not release the the unused image. This is causing memory usage to become double what is necessary at times. I would like to know if there is some function I can use to force it to unload all the unused images? If it makes a difference, this is mainly for Symbian.

When I create a New web Application it has References folder but when I add new .aspx file it also adds .aspx.designer.cs file with it and its does not show master page option in add dialogue. but in the old web application it shows the master page option where master page file is already added. whats the difference between these two solutions.

If I do myControl.demand.theMethod {return null} in the debugger, the value that I set the 'theMethod' call result to is some closure in the debugger. If I do myControl.demand.theMethod {->return null} the value is null, as expected. I dont understand the difference....

  Can you explain this? I want to eval values and calculations from two different sources. One source gives me the following info(programmatically): 'a = 2' The second source gives me this expression to evaluate: 'a + 3' This works: a = 2 eval 'a + 3' This also works: eval 'a = 2; a + 3' But what I really need is this, and it doesn't work: eval 'a = 2' eval 'a + 3' I would like to understand the difference, and how can I make the last option work.   GNU xargs has option '-x'. The man page says: -x Exit if the size (see the -s option) is exceeded. But xargs seems to not care if -x is set or not. I have been unable to make an example in which the -x has any effect at all. Please provide two examples in which the only difference is an added -x and that produce different output.
