    - by cooldude
    Hi, I have to send the audio data in byte array obtain by recording from java applet at the client side to rails server at the controller in order to save. So, what encoding parameters at the applet side be used and in what form the audio data be converted like String or byte array so that rails correctly recieve data and then I can save that data at the rails in the file. As currently the audio file made by rails controller is not playing. It is the following ERROR : LAVF_header: av_open_input_stream() failed while playing with the mplayer. Here is the Java Code: package networksocket; import java.util.logging.Level; import java.util.logging.Logger; import javax.swing.JApplet; import java.net.*; import java.io.*; import java.awt.event.*; import java.awt.*; import java.sql.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.border.*; import java.awt.*; import java.util.Properties; import javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicSplitPaneUI.BasicHorizontalLayoutManager; import sun.awt.HorizBagLayout; import sun.awt.VerticalBagLayout; import sun.misc.BASE64Encoder; /** * * @author mukand */ public class Urlconnection extends JApplet implements ActionListener { /** * Initialization method that will be called after the applet is loaded * into the browser. */ public BufferedInputStream in; public BufferedOutputStream out; public String line; public FileOutputStream file; public int bytesread; public int toread=1024; byte b[]= new byte[toread]; public String f="FINISH"; public String match; public File fileopen; public JTextArea jTextArea; public Button refreshButton; public HttpURLConnection urlConn; public URL url; OutputStreamWriter wr; BufferedReader rd; @Override public void init() { // TODO start asynchronous download of heavy resources //textField= new TextField("START"); //getContentPane().add(textField); JPanel p = new JPanel(); jTextArea= new JTextArea(1500,1500); p.setLayout(new GridLayout(1,1, 1,1)); p.add(new JLabel("Server Details")); p.add(jTextArea); Container content = getContentPane(); content.setLayout(new GridBagLayout()); // Used to center the panel content.add(p); jTextArea.setLineWrap(true); refreshButton = new java.awt.Button("Refresh"); refreshButton.reshape(287,49,71,23); refreshButton.setFont(new Font("Dialog", Font.PLAIN, 12)); refreshButton.addActionListener(this); add(refreshButton); Properties properties = System.getProperties(); properties.put("http.proxyHost", "netmon.iitb.ac.in"); properties.put("http.proxyPort", "80"); } @Override public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { try { url = new URL("http://localhost:3000/audio/audiorecieve"); urlConn = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection(); //String login = "mukandagarwal:rammstein$"; //String encodedLogin = new BASE64Encoder().encodeBuffer(login.getBytes()); //urlConn.setRequestProperty("Proxy-Authorization",login); urlConn.setRequestMethod("POST"); // urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", //"application/octet-stream"); //urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","audio/mpeg");//"application/x-www- form-urlencoded"); //urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","application/x-www- form-urlencoded"); //urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Length", "" + // Integer.toString(urlParameters.getBytes().length)); urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Language", "UTF-8"); urlConn.setDoOutput(true); urlConn.setDoInput(true); byte bread[]=new byte[2048]; int iread; char c; String data=URLEncoder.encode("key1", "UTF-8")+ "="; //String data="key1="; FileInputStream fileread= new FileInputStream("//home//mukand//Hellion.ogg");//Dogs.mp3");//Desktop//mausam1.mp3"); while((iread=fileread.read(bread))!=-1) { //data+=(new String()); /*for(int i=0;i<iread;i++) { //c=(char)bread[i]; System.out.println(bread[i]); }*/ data+= URLEncoder.encode(new String(bread,iread), "UTF-8");//new String(new String(bread));// // data+=new String(bread,iread); } //urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Length",Integer.toString(data.getBytes().length)); System.out.println(data); //data+=URLEncoder.encode("mukand", "UTF-8"); //data += "&" + URLEncoder.encode("key2", "UTF-8") + "=" + URLEncoder.encode("value2", "UTF-8"); //data="key1="; wr = new OutputStreamWriter(urlConn.getOutputStream());//urlConn.getOutputStream(); //if((iread=fileread.read(bread))!=-1) // wr.write(bread,0,iread); wr.write(data); wr.flush(); fileread.close(); jTextArea.append("Send"); // Get the response rd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(urlConn.getInputStream())); while ((line = rd.readLine()) != null) { jTextArea.append(line); } wr.close(); rd.close(); //jTextArea.append("click"); } catch (MalformedURLException ex) { Logger.getLogger(Urlconnection.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex); } catch (IOException ex) { Logger.getLogger(Urlconnection.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex); } } @Override public void start() { } @Override public void stop() { } @Override public void destroy() { } // TODO overwrite start(), stop() and destroy() methods } Here is the Rails controller function for recieving: def audiorecieve puts "///////////////////////////////////////******RECIEVED*******////" puts params[:key1]#+" "+params[:key2] data=params[:key1] #request.env('RAW_POST_DATA') file=File.new("audiodata.ogg", 'w') file.write(data) file.flush file.close puts "////**************DONE***********//////////////////////" end Please reply quickly

  • RemoteViewsService never gets called whenever we update app widget

    - by user3689160
    I am making one task widget application. This is a simple widget application which can be used to add new tasks by clicking on "+New Task". So ideally what I have done is, I've added a widget first, then when we click on "+New Task" a new activity opens up from where we can type in a new task and it should get updated in the ListView inside the home screen widget. Problem: Now whenever I add a new task, the ListView does not get updated. The data gets inside the database a new is created as well. My onUpdate(...) method gets called as well. There is a WidgetService.java which is a RemoteViewService that is being used to call the RemoteViewFactory but WidgetService.java gets called only when we create the widget, never after that. WidgetService.java never gets called again. I have the following setup MyWidgetProvider.java AppWidgetProvider class for updating the widget and filling its remote views. public class MyWidgetProvider extends AppWidgetProvider { public static int randomNumber=132; static RemoteViews remoteViews = null; @Override public void onUpdate(Context context, AppWidgetManager appWidgetManager, int[] appWidgetIds) { updateList(context,appWidgetManager,appWidgetIds); } public static void updateList(Context context, AppWidgetManager appWidgetManager, int[] appWidgetIds){ final int N = appWidgetIds.length; Log.d("MyWidgetProvider", "length="+appWidgetIds.length+""); for (int i = 0; i<N; ++i) { Log.d("MyWidgetProvider", "value"+ i + "="+appWidgetIds[i]); // Calling updateWidgetListView(context, appWidgetIds[i]); to load the listview with data remoteViews = updateWidgetListView(context, appWidgetIds[i]); // Updating the Widget with the new data filled remoteviews appWidgetManager.updateAppWidget(appWidgetIds[i], remoteViews); appWidgetManager.notifyAppWidgetViewDataChanged(appWidgetIds[i], R.id.lv_tasks); } } private static RemoteViews updateWidgetListView(Context context, int appWidgetId) { Intent svcIntent = null; remoteViews = new RemoteViews(context.getPackageName(),R.layout.widget_demo); //RemoteViews Service needed to provide adapter for ListView svcIntent = new Intent(context, WidgetService.class); //passing app widget id to that RemoteViews Service svcIntent.putExtra(AppWidgetManager.EXTRA_APPWIDGET_ID, appWidgetId); //setting a unique Uri to the intent //binding the data from the WidgetService to the svcIntent svcIntent.setData(Uri.parse(svcIntent.toUri(Intent.URI_INTENT_SCHEME))); //setting adapter to listview of the widget remoteViews.setRemoteAdapter(R.id.lv_tasks, svcIntent); //setting click listner on the "New Task" (TextView) of the widget remoteViews.setOnClickPendingIntent(R.id.tv_add_task, buildButtonPendingIntent(context)); return remoteViews; } // Just to create PendingIntent, this will be broadcasted everytime textview containing "New Task" is clicked and OnReceive method of MyWidgetIntentReceiver.java will run public static PendingIntent buildButtonPendingIntent(Context context) { Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.putExtra("TASK_DONE_VALUE_VALID", false); intent.setAction("com.ommzi.intent.action.CLEARTASK"); return PendingIntent.getBroadcast(context, 0, intent, PendingIntent.FLAG_UPDATE_CURRENT); } // This method is defined here so that we can update the remoteviews from other classes as well, like we'll do it in MyWidgetIntentReceiver.java public static void pushWidgetUpdate(Context context, RemoteViews remoteViews) { ComponentName myWidget = new ComponentName(context, MyWidgetProvider.class); AppWidgetManager manager = AppWidgetManager.getInstance(context); manager.updateAppWidget(myWidget, remoteViews); } } WidgetService.java A RemoteViewsService class for creating a RemoteViewsFactory. public class WidgetService extends RemoteViewsService { @Override public RemoteViewsFactory onGetViewFactory(Intent intent) { int appWidgetId = intent.getIntExtra(AppWidgetManager.EXTRA_APPWIDGET_ID,AppWidgetManager.INVALID_APPWIDGET_ID); Purpose of this is to get a new task added to the list of task. MyWidgetIntentReceiver.java BroadcastReceiver fired using a pending intent that starts an activity GetTaskActivity.java. Please help me out with this problem. I am seen all the posts here and on other websites no body is having any solution. But I am sure a solution exist to this. Thanks for your help!

    Hello, I am having some problems trying to work with PostgreSQL and Hibernate, more specifically, the issue mentioned in the title. I've been searching the net for a few hours now but none of the found solutions worked for me. I am using Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers. In Eclipse Datasource Explorer, I can ping the DB and it succeeds. Weird thing is that I can't see the tables from there either. It expands the public schema but it doesn't expand the tables. Could it be some permission issue? Thanks!

  • creating objects in list

    - by prince23
    List myList = new List { new Users{ Name="Kumar", Gender="M", Age=75, Parent="All"}, new Users{ Name="Suresh",Gender="M", Age=50, Parent="Kumar"}, new Users{ Name="Bennette", Gender="F",Age=45, Parent="Kumar"}, new Users{ Name="kian", Gender="M",Age=20, Parent="Suresh"}, new Users{ Name="Nathani", Gender="M",Age=15, Parent="Suresh"}, new Users{ Name="Peter", Gender="M",Age=90, Parent="All"}, new Users{ Name="Mica", Age=56, Gender="M",Parent="Peter"}, new Users{ Name="Linderman", Gender="M",Age=51, Parent="Peter"}, new Users{ Name="john", Age=25, Gender="M",Parent="Mica"}, new Users{ Name="tom", Gender="M",Age=21, Parent="Mica"}, new Users{ Name="Ando", Age=64, Gender="M",Parent="All"}, new Users{ Name="Maya", Age=24, Gender="M",Parent="Ando"}, new Users{ Name="Niki Sanders", Gender="F",Age=2, Parent="Maya"}, new Users{ Name="Angela Patrelli", Gender="F",Age=3, Parent="Maya"}, }; now i need to format the data like here i need to check the parent based on the parent i will be creating objects under the parent objects now { Name="Kumar", Gender="M", Age=75, Parent="All" } this is the top level as a property Parent ="all" now under parent object kumar here we again create a new object to store these information under object(kumar who is the parent) new Users{ Name="Suresh",Gender="M", Age=50, Parent="Kumar"}, new Users{ Name="Bennette", Gender="F",Age=45, Parent="Kumar"}, what i need to do here is i need to check the parent based on the parent create further objects under it ex: i need to achive like this. looking for the syntax how i can do it. public class SampleProjectData { public static ObservableCollection<Product> GetSampleData() { DateTime dtS = DateTime.Now;   • Winform/Program and how to write array information to linklabels?!!?

  • Using repaint() method.

    - by owca
    I'm still struggling to create this game : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2844190/choosing-design-method-for-ladder-like-word-game .I've got it almost working but there is a problem though. When I'm inserting a word and it's correct, the whole window should reload, and JButtons containing letters should be repainted with different style. But somehow repaint() method for the game panel (in Main method) doesn't affect it at all. What am I doing wrong ? Here's my code: Main: import java.util.Scanner; import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; public class Main { public static void main(String[] args){ final JFrame f = new JFrame("Ladder Game"); Scanner sc = new Scanner(System.in); System.out.println("Creating game data..."); System.out.println("Height: "); //setting height of the grid while (!sc.hasNextInt()) { System.out.println("int, please!"); sc.next(); } final int height = sc.nextInt(); /* * I'm creating Grid[]game. Each row of game contains Grid of Element[]line. * Each row of line contains Elements, which are single letters in the game. */ Grid[]game = new Grid[height]; for(int L = 0; L < height; L++){ Grid row = null; int i = L+1; String s; do { System.out.println("Length "+i+", please!"); s = sc.next(); } while (s.length() != i); Element[] line = new Element[s.length()]; Element single = null; String[] temp = null; String[] temp2 = new String[s.length()]; temp = s.split(""); for( int j = temp2.length; j>0; j--){ temp2[j-1] = temp[j]; } for (int k = 0 ; k < temp2.length ; k++) { if( k == 0 ){ single = new Element(temp2[k], 2); } else{ single = new Element(temp2[k], 1); } line[k] = single; } row = new Grid(line); game[L] = row; } //############################################ //THE GAME STARTS HERE //############################################ //create new game panel with box layout JPanel panel = new JPanel(); panel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(panel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); panel.setBackground(Color.ORANGE); panel.setBorder(BorderFactory.createEmptyBorder(10, 10, 10, 10)); //for each row of the game array add panel containing letters Single panel //is drawn with Grid's paint() method and then returned here to be added for(int i = 0; i < game.length; i++){ panel.add(game[i].paint()); } f.setContentPane(panel); f.pack(); f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); f.setVisible(true); boolean end = false; boolean word = false; String text; /* * Game continues until solved() returns true.   • Implementation of ZipCrypto / Zip 2.0 encryption in java

    - by gomesla
    I'm trying o implement the zipcrypto / zip 2.0 encryption algoritm to deal with encrypted zip files as discussed in http://www.pkware.com/documents/casestudies/APPNOTE.TXT I believe I've followed the specs but just can't seem to get it working. I'm fairly sure the issue has to do with my interpretation of the crc algorithm. The documentation states CRC-32: (4 bytes) The CRC-32 algorithm was generously contributed by David Schwaderer and can be found in his excellent book "C Programmers Guide to NetBIOS" published by Howard W. Sams & Co. Inc. The 'magic number' for the CRC is 0xdebb20e3. The proper CRC pre and post conditioning is used, meaning that the CRC register is pre-conditioned with all ones (a starting value of 0xffffffff) and the value is post-conditioned by taking the one's complement of the CRC residual. Here is the snippet that I'm using for the crc32 public class PKZIPCRC32 { private static final int CRC32_POLYNOMIAL = 0xdebb20e3; private int crc = 0xffffffff; private int CRCTable[]; public PKZIPCRC32() { buildCRCTable(); } private void buildCRCTable() { int i, j; CRCTable = new int[256]; for (i = 0; i <= 255; i++) { crc = i; for (j = 8; j > 0; j--) if ((crc & 1) == 1) crc = (crc >>> 1) ^ CRC32_POLYNOMIAL; else crc >>>= 1; CRCTable[i] = crc; } } private int crc32(byte buffer[], int start, int count, int lastcrc) { int temp1, temp2; int i = start; crc = lastcrc; while (count-- != 0) { temp1 = crc >>> 8; temp2 = CRCTable[(crc ^ buffer[i++]) & 0xFF]; crc = temp1 ^ temp2; } return crc; } public int crc32(int crc, byte buffer) { return crc32(new byte[] { buffer }, 0, 1, crc); } } Below is my complete code. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong. package org.apache.commons.compress.archivers.zip; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStream; public class ZipCryptoInputStream extends InputStream { public class PKZIPCRC32 { private static final int CRC32_POLYNOMIAL = 0xdebb20e3; private int crc = 0xffffffff; private int CRCTable[]; public PKZIPCRC32() { buildCRCTable(); } private void buildCRCTable() { int i, j; CRCTable = new int[256]; for (i = 0; i <= 255; i++) { crc = i; for (j = 8; j > 0; j--) if ((crc & 1) == 1) crc = (crc >>> 1) ^ CRC32_POLYNOMIAL; else crc >>>= 1; CRCTable[i] = crc; } } private int crc32(byte buffer[], int start, int count, int lastcrc) { int temp1, temp2; int i = start; crc = lastcrc; while (count-- != 0) { temp1 = crc >>> 8; temp2 = CRCTable[(crc ^ buffer[i++]) & 0xFF]; crc = temp1 ^ temp2; } return crc; } public int crc32(int crc, byte buffer) { return crc32(new byte[] { buffer }, 0, 1, crc); } } private static final long ENCRYPTION_KEY_1 = 0x12345678; private static final long ENCRYPTION_KEY_2 = 0x23456789; private static final long ENCRYPTION_KEY_3 = 0x34567890; private InputStream baseInputStream = null; private final PKZIPCRC32 checksumEngine = new PKZIPCRC32(); private long[] keys = null; public ZipCryptoInputStream(ZipArchiveEntry zipEntry, InputStream inputStream, String passwd) throws Exception { baseInputStream = inputStream; // Decryption // ---------- // PKZIP encrypts the compressed data stream.   • What is wrong with this WHERE clause?

    Is there a reason why this query doesn't work? The following query will work if I just exclude the WHERE clause. I need to know what is wrong with it. I know the given values of $key exists in the table, so why doesn't this work? $q = "SELECT * WHERE t1.project=$key FROM project_technologies AS t1 JOIN languages AS t2 ON t1.language = t2.key"; Table's have the following fields: project_technologies - key - project - language languages - key - name

  • C# searching for new Tool for the tool box, how to template this code

    - by Nix
    All i have something i have been trying to do for a while and have yet to find a good strategy to do it, i am not sure C# can even support what i am trying to do. Example imagine a template like this, repeated in manager code overarching cocept function Returns a result consisting of a success flag and error list. public Result<Boolean> RemoveLocation(LocationKey key) { List<Error> errorList = new List<Error>(); Boolean result = null; try{ result = locationDAO.RemoveLocation(key); }catch(UpdateException ue){ //Error happened less pass this back to the user! errorList = ue.ErrorList; } return new Result<Boolean>(result, errorList); } Looking to turn it into a template like the below where Do Something is some call (preferably not static) that returns a Boolean. I know i could do this in a stack sense, but i am really looking for a way to do it via object reference. public Result<Boolean> RemoveLocation(LocationKey key) { var magic = locationDAO.RemoveLocation(key); return ProtectedDAOCall(magic); } public Result<Boolean> CreateLocation(LocationKey key) { var magic = locationDAO.CreateLocation(key); return ProtectedDAOCall(magic); } public Result<Boolean> ProtectedDAOCall(Func<..., bool> doSomething) { List<Error> errorList = new List<Error>(); Boolean result = null; try{ result = doSomething(); }catch(UpdateException ue){ //Error happened less pass this back to the user! errorList = ue.ErrorList; } return new Result<Boolean>(result, errorList); } If there is any more information you may need let me know. I am interested to see what someone else can come up with. Marc solution applied to the code above public Result<Boolean> CreateLocation(LocationKey key) { LocationDAO locationDAO = new LocationDAO(); return WrapMethod(() => locationDAO.CreateLocation(key)); } public Result<Boolean> RemoveLocation(LocationKey key) { LocationDAO locationDAO = new LocationDAO(); return WrapMethod(() => locationDAO.RemoveLocation(key)); } static Result<T> WrapMethod<T>(Func<Result<T>> func) { try { return func(); } catch (UpdateException ue) { return new Result<T>(default(T), ue.Errors); } }

  • Help with OpenSSL request using Python

    - by Ldn
    Hi i'm creating a program that has to make a request and then obtain some info. For doing that the website had done some API that i will use. There is an how-to about these API but every example is made using PHP. But my app is done using Python so i need to convert the code. here is the how-to: The request string is sealed with OpenSSL. The steps for sealing are as follows: • Random 128-bit key is created. • Random key is used to RSA-RC4 symettrically encrypt the request string. • Random key is encrypted with the public key using OpenSSL RSA asymmetrical encryption. • The encrypted request and encrypted key are each base64 encoded and placed in the appropriate fields. In PHP a full request to our API can be accomplished like so: <?php // initial request. $request = array('object' => 'Link', 'action' => 'get', 'args' => array( 'app_id' => 303612602 ) ); // encode the request in JSON $request = json_encode($request); // when you receive your profile, you will be given a public key to seal your request in. $key_pem = "-----BEGIN PUBLIC KEY----- MFwwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEBBQADSwAwSAJBALdu5C6d2sA1Lu71NNGBEbLD6DjwhFQO VLdFAJf2rOH63rG/L78lrQjwMLZOeHEHqjaiUwCr8NVTcVrebu6ylIECAwEAAQ== -----END PUBLIC KEY-----"; // load the public key $pkey = openssl_pkey_get_public($key_pem); // seal! $newrequest and $enc_keys are passed by reference. openssl_seal($request, $enc_request, $enc_keys, array($pkey)); // then wrap the request $wrapper = array( 'profile' => 'ProfileName', 'format' => 'RSA_RC4_Sealed', 'enc_key' => base64_encode($enc_keys[0]), 'request' => base64_encode($enc_request) ); // json encode the wrapper. urlencode it as well. $wrapper = urlencode(json_encode($wrapper)); // we can send the request wrapper via the cURL extension $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, 'http://api.site.com/'); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, "request=$wrapper"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); $data = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); ?> Of all of that, i was able to convert "$request" and i'v also made the JSON encode. This is my code: import urllib import urllib2 import json url = 'http://api.site.com/' array = {'app_id' : "303612602"} values = { "object" : "Link", "action": "get", "args" : array } data = urllib.urlencode(values) json_data = json.dumps(data) What stop me is the sealing with OpenSSL and the publi key (that obviously i have) Using PHP OpenSSL it's so easy, but in Python i don't really know how to use it Please, help me!

  • My iPhone app needs a persistent network connection...how to specify UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities?

    - by Greg Maletic
    I'm trying to set the UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities properties in my Info.plist file. My app requires a persistent network connection. If I look at the definition for the "wifi" key, it says: Include this key if your application requires access to the networking features of the device. So: does the "wifi" key indicate that I need WiFi, as the key name would suggest? Or does it mean that I simply need network access, as the key definition would suggest?

  • How to get compatibility between C# and SQL2k8 AES Encryption?

    - by Victor Rodrigues
    I have an AES encryption being made on two columns: one of these columns is stored at a SQL Server 2000 database; the other is stored at a SQL Server 2008 database. As the first column's database (2000) doesn't have native functionality for encryption / decryption, we've decided to do the cryptography logic at application level, with .NET classes, for both. But as the second column's database (2008) allow this kind of functionality, we'd like to make the data migration using the database functions to be faster, since the data migration in SQL 2k is much smaller than this second and it will last more than 50 hours because of being made at application level. My problem started at this point: using the same key, I didn't achieve the same result when encrypting a value, neither the same result size. Below we have the full logic in both sides.. Of course I'm not showing the key, but everything else is the same: private byte[] RijndaelEncrypt(byte[] clearData, byte[] Key) { var memoryStream = new MemoryStream(); Rijndael algorithm = Rijndael.Create(); algorithm.Key = Key; algorithm.IV = InitializationVector; var criptoStream = new CryptoStream(memoryStream, algorithm.CreateEncryptor(), CryptoStreamMode.Write); criptoStream.Write(clearData, 0, clearData.Length); criptoStream.Close(); byte[] encryptedData = memoryStream.ToArray(); return encryptedData; } private byte[] RijndaelDecrypt(byte[] cipherData, byte[] Key) { var memoryStream = new MemoryStream(); Rijndael algorithm = Rijndael.Create(); algorithm.Key = Key; algorithm.IV = InitializationVector; var criptoStream = new CryptoStream(memoryStream, algorithm.CreateDecryptor(), CryptoStreamMode.Write); criptoStream.Write(cipherData, 0, cipherData.Length); criptoStream.Close(); byte[] decryptedData = memoryStream.ToArray(); return decryptedData; } This is the SQL Code sample: open symmetric key columnKey decryption by password = N'{pwd!!i_ll_not_show_it_here}' declare @enc varchar(max) set @enc = dbo.VarBinarytoBase64(EncryptByKey(Key_GUID('columnKey'), 'blablabla')) select LEN(@enc), @enc This varbinaryToBase64 is a tested sql function we use to convert varbinary to the same format we use to store strings in the .net application. The result in C# is: eg0wgTeR3noWYgvdmpzTKijkdtTsdvnvKzh+uhyN3Lo= The same result in SQL2k8 is: AI0zI7D77EmqgTQrdgMBHAEAAACyACXb+P3HvctA0yBduAuwPS4Ah3AB4Dbdj2KBGC1Dk4b8GEbtXs5fINzvusp8FRBknF15Br2xI1CqP0Qb/M4w I just didn't get yet what I'm doing wrong. Do you have any ideas? EDIT: One point I think is crucial: I have one Initialization Vector at my C# code, 16 bytes. This IV is not set at SQL symmetric key, could I do this? But even not filling the IV in C#, I get very different results, both in content and length.

  • Loading datasets from datastore and merge into single dictionary. Resource problem.

    - by fredrik
    Hi, I have a productdatabase that contains products, parts and labels for each part based on langcodes. The problem I'm having and haven't got around is a huge amount of resource used to get the different datasets and merging them into a dict to suit my needs. The products in the database are based on a number of parts that is of a certain type (ie. color, size). And each part has a label for each language. I created 4 different models for this. Products, ProductParts, ProductPartTypes and ProductPartLabels. I've narrowed it down to about 10 lines of code that seams to generate the problem. As of currently I have 3 Products, 3 Types, 3 parts for each type, and 2 languages. And the request takes a wooping 5500ms to generate. for product in productData: productDict = {} typeDict = {} productDict['productName'] = product.name cache_key = 'productparts_%s' % (slugify(product.key())) partData = memcache.get(cache_key) if not partData: for type in typeData: typeDict[type.typeId] = { 'default' : '', 'optional' : [] } ## Start of problem lines ## for defaultPart in product.defaultPartsData: for label in labelsForLangCode: if label.key() in defaultPart.partLabelList: typeDict[defaultPart.type.typeId]['default'] = label.partLangLabel for optionalPart in product.optionalPartsData: for label in labelsForLangCode: if label.key() in optionalPart.partLabelList: typeDict[optionalPart.type.typeId]['optional'].append(label.partLangLabel) ## end problem lines ## memcache.add(cache_key, typeDict, 500) partData = memcache.get(cache_key) productDict['parts'] = partData productList.append(productDict) I guess the problem lies in the number of for loops is too many and have to iterate over the same data over and over again. labelForLangCode get all labels from ProductPartLabels that match the current langCode. All parts for a product is stored in a db.ListProperty(db.key). The same goes for all labels for a part. The reason I need the some what complex dict is that I want to display all data for a product with it's default parts and show a selector for the optional one. The defaultPartsData and optionaPartsData are properties in the Product Model that looks like this: @property def defaultPartsData(self): return ProductParts.gql('WHERE __key__ IN :key', key = self.defaultParts) @property def optionalPartsData(self): return ProductParts.gql('WHERE __key__ IN :key', key = self.optionalParts) When the completed dict is in the memcache it works smoothly, but isn't the memcache reset if the application goes in to hibernation? Also I would like to show the page for first time user(memcache empty) with out the enormous delay. Also as I said above, this is only a small amount of parts/product. What will the result be when it's 30 products with 100 parts. Is one solution to create a scheduled task to cache it in the memcache every hour? It this efficient? I know this is alot to take in, but I'm stuck. I've been at this for about 12 hours straight. And can't figure out a solution. ..fredrik

    how to change Dictionary's value when enumerate it? the following code doesn't work, because we can not change dictionary's value when enumerating it. Is there any way to get around it? Or NO WAY? Thanks foreach (KeyValuePair<string, int> kvp in mydictionary) { if (otherdictionary.ContainsKey(kvp.Key)) { mydictionary[kvp.Key] = otherdictionary[kvp.Key]; } else { otherdictionary[kvp.Key] = mydictionary[kvp.Key]; } }

  • C++: Why does gcc prefer non-const over const when accessing operator[]?

    - by JonasW
    This question might be more appropriately asked regarding C++ in general, but as I am using gcc on linux that's the context. Consider the following program: #include <iostream> #include <map> #include <string> using namespace std; template <typename TKey, typename TValue> class Dictionary{ public: map<TKey, TValue> internal; TValue & operator[](TKey const & key) { cout << "operator[] with key " << key << " called " << endl; return internal[key]; } TValue const & operator[](TKey const & key) const { cout << "operator[] const with key " << key << " called " << endl; return internal.at(key); } }; int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { Dictionary<string, string> dict; dict["1"] = "one"; cout << "first one: " << dict["1"] << endl; return 0; } When executing the program, the output is: operator[] with key 1 called operator[] with key 1 called first one: one What I would like is to have the compiler choose the operator[]const method instead in the second call. The reason is that without having used dict["1"] before, the call to operator[] causes the internal map to create the data that does not exist, even if the only thing I wanted was to do some debugging output, which of course is a fatal application error. The behaviour I am looking for would be something like the C# index operator which has a get and a set operation and where you could throw an exception if the getter tries to access something that doesn't exist: class MyDictionary<TKey, TVal> { private Dictionary<TKey, TVal> dict = new Dictionary<TKey, TVal>(); public TVal this[TKey idx] { get { if(!dict.ContainsKey(idx)) throw KeyNotFoundException("..."); return dict[idx]; } set { dict[idx] = value; } } } Thus, I wonder why the gcc prefers the non-const call over the const call when non-const access is not required.

    I have a table mytable( id, key, value). I realize that key is generating a lot of data redundancy since my key is a string. • LWJGL Voxel game, glDrawArrays

    - by user22015
    I've been learning about 3D for a couple days now. I managed to create a chunk (8x8x8). Add optimization so it only renders the active and visible blocks. Then I added so it only draws the faces which don't have a neighbor. Next what I found from online research was that it is better to use glDrawArrays to increase performance. So I restarted my little project. Render an entire chunck, add optimization so it only renders active and visible blocks. But now I want to add so it only draws the visible faces while using glDrawArrays. This is giving me some trouble with calling glDrawArrays because I'm passing a wrong count parameter. > # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: > # > # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x0000000006e31a03, pid=1032, tid=3184 > # Stack: [0x00000000023a0000,0x00000000024a0000], sp=0x000000000249ef70, free space=1019k Native frames: (J=compiled Java code, j=interpreted, Vv=VM code, C=native code) C [ig4icd64.dll+0xa1a03] Java frames: (J=compiled Java code, j=interpreted, Vv=VM code) j org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11.nglDrawArrays(IIIJ)V+0 j org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11.glDrawArrays(III)V+20 j com.vox.block.Chunk.render()V+410 j com.vox.ChunkManager.render()V+30 j com.vox.Game.render()V+11 j com.vox.GameHandler.render()V+12 j com.vox.GameHandler.gameLoop()V+15 j com.vox.Main.main([Ljava/lang/StringV+13 v ~StubRoutines::call_stub public class Chunk { public final static int[] DIM = { 8, 8, 8};
