  • What is auto-mounting my media volume?

    - by user285277
Something is repeatedly mounting my "media" share, doing something with it, then quietly un-mounting it with no notifications at the user level. from the little I can gleaned from the console messages below, I thought I'd managed to stop it, if not understand it last night when I followed instructions for deleting all traces of the Google Update Daemon. I've not been using any Google apps whatsoever, so I was surprised to see that in Console. What's more surprising, and perhaps a little distressing, is that the same thing occurred this evening, when the Google Daemon is long gone. I don't have that log because I can't recall precisely what time it occurred. I'll do a search and provide it if you wish, though. In the meantime, any help with this would be extremely appreciated. I've asked over at Apple Discussions but I think it might be a little deeper than those manning the boards this weekend are comfortable with. It's certainly beyond my meager skills. With apologies in advance if this is more lines thank you need. Please note that I've transformed the Google links a little because the forum here requires more reputation points before one can post more than two links. 12/27/13 10:47:31.000 PM kernel[0]: memorystatus_thread: idle exiting pid 53629 [distnoted] 12/27/13 10:48:10.433 PM com.apple.Preview.TrustedBookmarksService[53640]: Failed to resolve bookmark data at index: 0; not stale; error: The file doesn’t exist. 12/27/13 10:48:10.434 PM com.apple.Preview.TrustedBookmarksService[53640]: Failed to resolve bookmark data at index: 1; not stale; error: The file doesn’t exist. 12/27/13 10:48:10.950 PM com.apple.SecurityServer[17]: Session 103257 created 12/27/13 10:48:34.328 PM com.apple.Preview.TrustedBookmarksService[53640]: Failed to resolve bookmark data at index: 2; not stale; error: The file doesn’t exist. 12/27/13 10:48:34.000 PM kernel[0]: AFP_VFS afpfs_mount: /Volumes/Media Archive-1, pid 53641 12/27/13 10:48:34.000 PM kernel[0]: AFP_VFS afpfs_mount : succeeded on volume 0xffffff80d6355008 /Volumes/Media Archive-1 (error = 0, retval = 0) 12/27/13 10:49:32.000 PM kernel[0]: wlEvent: en0 en0 Link DOWN virtIf = 0 12/27/13 10:49:32.000 PM kernel[0]: AirPort: Link Down on en0. • CompilationMode=Never & SessionState

    - by Nariman
It seems that CompilationMode=Never doesn't permit Sessions to be properly wired. It first complains that the EnbaleSessionState directive is not allowed on this page. Explicitly assigning the System.Web.SessionState.IRequiresSessionState to the Page [1] avoids the null reference exceptions (around .Session access) but still doesn't persist or wire-up sessions correctly. Has anyone successfully used ASP.NET Sessions with CompilationMode=Never? Conceptually, why should these be disjoint?? • How long do FireFox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera cache SSL/TLS session keys?

    - by MJ
To try to use a reason SSL/TLS session key timeout on the server-side, I'd like to know how long popular browsers cache session keys on the client. Microsoft describes this information for Windows/IE here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc776467(WS.10).aspx But, I haven't been able to find similar information for other popular browsers. Does anyone know? Thanks!

  • How best to store Subversion version information in EAR's?

    - by Rene
When receiving a bug report or an it-doesnt-work message one of my initials questions is always what version? With a different builds being at many stages of testing, planning and deploying this is often a non-trivial question. I the case of releasing Java JAR (ear, jar, rar, war) files I would like to be able to look in/at the JAR and switch to the same branch, version or tag that was the source of the released JAR. How can I best adjust the ant build process so that the version information in the svn checkout remains in the created build? I was thinking along the lines of: adding a VERSION file, but with what content? storing information in the META-INF file, but under what property with which content? copying sources into the result archive added svn:properties to all sources with keywords in places the compiler leaves them be I ended up using the svnversion approach (the accepted anwser), because it scans the entire subtree as opposed to svn info which just looks at the current file / directory. For this I defined the SVN task in the ant file to make it more portable. <taskdef name="svn" classname="org.tigris.subversion.svnant.SvnTask"> <classpath> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnant.jar"/> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnClientAdapter.jar"/> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnkit.jar"/> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnjavahl.jar"/> </classpath> </taskdef> Not all builds result in webservices. The ear file before deployment must remain the same name because of updating in the application server. Making the file executable is still an option, but until then I just include a version information file. <target name="version"> <svn><wcVersion path="${dir.source}"/></svn> <echo file="${dir.build}/VERSION">${revision.range}</echo> </target> Refs: svnrevision: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/re57.html svn info http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/re13.html subclipse svn task: http://subclipse.tigris.org/svnant/svn.html svn client: http://svnkit.com/

Thanks. I've seen this, but it doesn't answer my question: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/msbuild/thread/1d229d75-aa89-42bf-809b-ef98f42072bb

  • MultiActionController no longer receiving requests?

    - by Stefan Kendall
    I was attempting to make changes to my controller, and all of a sudden, I no longer seem to receive any requests (404 when attempting to hit the servlet mapped URLs). I'm sure I've broken my web.xml or app-servlet.xml, but I just don't see where. I can access index.jsp from tomcat (http://IP/app/index.jsp), but I can't get my servlet mapping to work correctly. Help? web.xml: <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd"> <web-app version = "2.4" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd"> <listener> <listener-class> org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener </listener-class> </listener> <servlet> <servlet-name>app</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class> </servlet> <servet-mapping> <servlet-name>app</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/myRequest</url-pattern> </servet-mapping> app-servlet.xml: <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd"> <web-app version = "2.4" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd"> <listener> <listener-class> org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener </listener-class> </listener> <servlet> <servlet-name>app</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class> </servlet> <servet-mapping> <servlet-name>app</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/myRequest</url-pattern> </servet-mapping> </web-app>

  • MFS Agile Process Template Work Items

    - by devdept
Where can I find a practical example on how to use Bug, Risk, Scenario, Task and Quality of Service Requirement work items? On MSDN documentation I found this topic: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb668962.aspx but it is not enough for me to deeply understand when to use one or the other. Thanks!

    - by Asaf
Hello, I'm currently developing on my local pc, to which I have complete access of course. However to my production server I have only FTP access. Now, this step http://www.symfony-project.org/getting-started/1_4/en/05-Web-Server-Configuration On Symfony's installation guide, suggests that I need to edit the httpd.conf I was wondering if there's an alternative since I don't have access to it on production.

  • Unit Test json output in Zend Framework

    - by lyle
The Zend Tutorial lists many assertions to check the output generated by a request. http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.test.phpunit.html But they all seem to assume that the output is html. I need to test json output instead. Are there any assertions helpful to check json, or is there at least a generic way to make assertions against the output? Anything that doesn't rely on the request outputting html?

  • What are some models that you know of for PHP OOP?

    - by Doug
I recently learned a lot about MVC model which is a very interesting concept. I would assume there are a lot more models out there, and I thought it would be great for people to share some models. Here's my contribution: MVC Model: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model%E2%80%93view%E2%80%93controller

  • jQuery - draggable images on iPad / iPhone - how to integrate event.preventDefault();?

    - by Tim
    Hello! I use jQuery, jQuery UI and jQuery mobile to build a web application for iPhone / iPad. Now I create images and they should be draggable, so I did this: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title>Drag - Test</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.0a2/jquery.mobile-1.0a2.min.css" /> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script> <script src="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.0a2/jquery.mobile-1.0a2.min.js"></script> <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.7/jquery-ui.min.js"></script> </head> <body> <div> <div style="width:500px;height:500px;border:1px solid red;"> <img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/9e/JQuery_logo.svg/200px-JQuery_logo.svg.png" class="draggable" alt="jQuery logo" /> <img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ab/Apple-logo.png" class="draggable" alt="Apple Inc. logo" /> </div> </div> </body> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $(".draggable").draggable(); }); </script> </html> Here you can see the live example: http://jsbin.com/igena4/ The problem is, that the whole page want to scroll. I searched in Apple's HTML5 examples and found this to prevent the scrolling of the page, so that the image is draggable: ... onDragStart: function(event) { // stop page from panning on iPhone/iPad - we're moving a note, not the page event.preventDefault(); ... } But the problem is for me, how can I include this into my jQuery? Where do I get event? Best Regards.

  • Why the proliferation of open source licenses?

    - by dwj
Is the proliferation of open source licenses just another example of programmers living NYI (Not Invented Here) syndrome? I know there are some big differences between some of the big licenses (e.g., GPL, Apache, BSD) but when you start looking to see many projects creating their own licenses. Why?
