  • Problem in creation MDB Queue connection at Jboss StartUp

    - by Amit Ruwali
I am not able to create a Queue connection in JBOSS4.2.3GA Version & Java1.5, as I am using MDB as per the below details. I am putting this MDB in a jar file(named utsJar.jar) and copied it in deploy folder of JBOSS, In the test env. this MDB works well but in another env. [ env settings and jboss/java ver is same ] it is throwing error at jboss start up [attached below ]. I have searched for this error but couldn't find any solution till now; was there any issue of port confict or something related with configurations ? UTSMessageListner.java @MessageDriven(activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName="destinationType", propertyValue="javax.jms.Queue"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName="destination", propertyValue="queue/UTSQueue") }) @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.NOT_SUPPORTED) public class UTSMessageListner implements MessageListener { public void onMessage(Message msg) { ObjectMessage objmsg = (ObjectMessage) msg; try { UTSListVO utsMessageListVO = (UTSListVO) objmsg.getObject(); if(utsMessageListVO.getUtsMessageList()!=null) { UtsWebServiceLogger.logMessage("UTSMessageListner:onMessage: SIZE Of UTSMessage List =[" +utsMessageListVO.getUtsMessageList().size() + "]"); UtsWebServiceLogger.logMessage("UTSMessageListner:onMessage: Error Receiving Message"+ExceptionUtility.getStackTrace(ex)); } } } [ I have also attached whole server.log as an attach] /// • windows authentication vs sql server authentication for asp.net forms authentication site

    - by Brij
I have a database and a site having forms authentication. It is working fine with VS2008. This time, I am using "Trusted_connection =True". But when it is opened from outside or directly from browser then I am getting error "Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'." I know this is due to permission. SQL server is based on windows authentication. What is the best approach to manage user to connect sql server? Should I enable sql server authentication? Let me know what to do so that it makes the production feel and there wouldn't be any problem during deployment. Note: Sql server is installed on domain server.

  • C# Windows Live Messenger Connectivity?

    - by Pcstalljr
Hey there guys, I'm working on an IRC bot project, Trying to integrate Windows live into a bot, And have received messages sent to the channel. But the current problem is that the old messenger API that I had no longer works. And the current API i can only find information about addins (complicated for the end user to set up unless I make an installer), Or contact information. I would like my bot to be stand-alone (no messenger required) and have it log in it self, But I can not find information on the login process anywhere. Any ideas?

  • The web publishing extension is not installed which is required to publish

    - by Chong Wang
I was tring to deploy an ASP.NET Web Application to a Windows Azure Web Site by following the tutorial through this link: https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/develop/net/tutorials/get-started/ After download the public profile, which is a ".PublishSettings" file, I go back to Visual Studio and right-click the project in Solution Explorer and select Publish from the context menu as the tutorial said. However, a warning box jumped up and it showed me that "The Web Publishing extension is not installed which is required to publish. You can install it from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=208120." I already installed "Windows Azure SDK for .NET (VS 2012)" and I also tried to uninstall this and install again, but the same problem is still there. Anyone knows how to solve this? I am really appreciated.

  • How do I pass credentials to a machine so I can use Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.OpenRemoteBaseKey()

    - by JCCyC
This .NET API works OK if I'm trying to open the Registry in a machine that's in the same domain as I am (and my logged-on user has admin rights on the target machine). It gets tricky if it's an out-of-domain machine with a different, local administrative user (of whom I do have the password). I tried to use WNetUseConnection() (which has served me well in the past in situations where what I wanted was to read a remote disk file) prior to calling OpenRemoteBaseKey(), but no dice -- I get an access denied exception. Clearly, I must pass credentials some other way, but how?

  • SQLCODE -1390 connecting to DB2 64 bit client from 32 bit app

    - by Oliver Abraham
Hi there, I've got a 32 bit application that connects normally to a DB2 database. (written in C) When I run it on a machine with a DB2 64 bit client, I get a SQLCODE -1390 from connect. (Win7 64 Bit, DB2 V9.7 client 64 bit) Connecting from the command line works (db2 connect to ...) With a 32 Bit DB2 client on the same Win7 64 Bit machine, the connect also works. Does anyone has an idea how to fix it ? Best regards Oliver

  • how to run an ActiveX that must be visible and topmost on a server without a desktop?

    - by DanJ
We're writing a server application that needs to use an ActiveX object that must be visible and Top-Most otherwise it doesn't render correctly. The challenge is that servers typically don't have an active desktop, and therefore the applications should not require one. Ours does. I must use this ActiveX, and I don't have access to the source code. When running from within remote-desktop everything works fine as long as the session is open. As soon as the session closes it stops working. I'm guessing this is because there is no desktop. Any ideas how I can work this out in a secure and robust way?

  • Should my connected web parts support IWebPartField, IWebPartRow and IWebPartData?

    - by Javaman59
I've been writing some simple webparts, and they communicate via a custom interface type. That's working fine. I've got one ConnectionProvider, with a variety of ConnectionConsumers. I see that the OOTB SharePoint webparts provide many standard connections, apparently through IWebPartField and IWebPartRow (IWebPartData seems less supported). I've tried to add a IWebPartRow interface to a provider, and found that it's not actually useful (apparently), unless it's shareing data that the OOTB components use, such as images, urls and users. Well, that's the impression I got, anyway... I've only done a quick experiment, and found it quite difficult to implement and test. Is there any point in spending time trying to add support for the standard webpart interfaces?

  • Why are there connections open to my databases?

    - by Everett
    I have a program that stores user projects as databases. Naturally, the program should allow the user to create and delete the databases as they need to. When the program boots up, it looks for all the databases in a specific SQLServer instance that have the structure the program is expecting. These database are then loaded into a listbox so the user can pick one to open as a project to work on. When I try to delete a database from the program, I always get an SQL error saying that the database is currently open and the operation fails. I've determined that the code that checks for the databases to load is causing the problem. I'm not sure why though, because I'm quite sure that all the connections are being properly closed. Here are all the relevant functions. After calling BuildProjectList, running "DROP DATABASE database_name" from ExecuteSQL fails with the message: "Cannot drop database because it is currently in use". I'm using SQLServer 2005. private SqlConnection databaseConnection; private string connectionString; private ArrayList databases; public ArrayList BuildProjectList() { //databases is an ArrayList of all the databases in an instance if (databases.Count <= 0) { return null; } ArrayList databaseNames = new ArrayList(); for (int i = 0; i < databases.Count; i++) { string db = databases[i].ToString(); connectionString = "Server=localhost\\SQLExpress;Trusted_Connection=True;Database=" + db + ";"; //Check if the database has the table required for the project string sql = "select * from TableExpectedToExist"; if (ExecuteSQL(sql)) { databaseNames.Add(db); } } return databaseNames; } private bool ExecuteSQL(string sql) { bool success = false; openConnection(); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(sql, databaseConnection); try { cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); success = true; } catch (SqlException ae) { MessageBox.Show(ae.Message.ToString()); } closeConnection(); return success; } public void openConnection() { databaseConnection = new SqlConnection(connectionString); try { databaseConnection.Open(); } catch(Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.ToString(), "Error", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error); } } public void closeConnection() { if (databaseConnection != null) { try { databaseConnection.Close(); } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.ToString(), "Error", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error); } } }

Hello, Stackoverflow! I'm new to SQL. I have created a new database in SQL Server Management Studio, and am now trying to attach it to a windows forms project in Visual Studio via the built in Data Configuration Wizard. Currently, whenever I try to attach the database file, I get a permissions error: "You don't have permission to open this file. Contact file owner or administrator to obtain permission" So, simple question -- how do I modify the permissions of my database to allow this?

  • Change My.Settings ConnectionString in runtime?

    - by Sultanen
I have a ClickOnce deployment where i have a INI-settings file on the network file with "global" settings that is supposed to affect the program on all client computers. The problem i have is that i whant to have the Database connectionString stored in this INI file and have it read and stored in the My.Settings ConnectionString at program startup. How do i do this? The ConnectionString setting is Application scoped and therefore Read-Only, if i try to set it by My.Settings("ConnectionString") = "Source=server;Initial Catalog=database;Integrated Security=True" I get a runtime error: An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: The type initializer for 'DB_lib.DB_LINQ' threw an exception. [EDIT] I got rid of the error by using the My.Settings("ConnectionString") = "Source=server;Initial Catalog=database;Integrated Security=True" in another place then the the eventtriggerd settingsLoaded method i created.. The problem is that even though the connectionstring semes to be the right, the program still connects to the "default" database that is typed in to the app.config file??

Is there a way to connect to a SQL-CE database as a stream? Specifically, our ASP.Net application builds small SDF at runtime for off-line needs. When the user is done with his off-line duties, he uploads the SDF and the application imports the new and updated data. No problems there. Currently, we're saving the uploaded SDF to the web-server's hard-drive and connecting to the file. Can we connect to the uploaded SDF without saving it to the hard-drive? We are using the DbProviderFactory.CreateConnection method, but we're open to suggestions.

    - by Skatephone
Hi i have a problem programming with android SDK 1.6. I'm doing the same things of the "notepad exaple" but the programm crash when i try some query. If i try to do a query directly in to the DatabaseHelper create() metod it goes, but out of this function it doesn't. Do you have any idea? this is the source: public class DbAdapter { public static final String KEY_NAME = "name"; public static final String KEY_TOT_DAYS = "totdays"; public static final String KEY_ROWID = "_id"; private static final String TAG = "DbAdapter"; private DatabaseHelper mDbHelper; private SQLiteDatabase mDb; private static final String DATABASE_NAME = "flowratedb"; private static final String DATABASE_TABLE = "girl_data"; private static final String DATABASE_TABLE_2 = "girl_cyle"; private static final int DATABASE_VERSION = 2; /** * Database creation sql statement */ private static final String DATABASE_CREATE = "create table "+DATABASE_TABLE+" (id integer, name text not null, totdays int);"; private static final String DATABASE_CREATE_2 = "create table "+DATABASE_TABLE_2+" (ref_id integer, day long not null);"; private final Context mCtx; private static class DatabaseHelper extends SQLiteOpenHelper { DatabaseHelper(Context context) { super(context, DATABASE_NAME, null, DATABASE_VERSION); } @Override public void onCreate(SQLiteDatabase db) { db.execSQL(DATABASE_CREATE); db.execSQL(DATABASE_CREATE_2); db.delete(DATABASE_TABLE, null, null); db.delete(DATABASE_TABLE_2, null, null); } @Override public void onUpgrade(SQLiteDatabase db, int oldVersion, int newVersion) { Log.w(TAG, "Upgrading database from version " + oldVersion + " to " + newVersion + ", which will destroy all old data"); db.execSQL("DROP TABLE IF EXISTS "+DATABASE_TABLE); db.execSQL("DROP TABLE IF EXISTS "+DATABASE_TABLE_2); onCreate(db); } } public DbAdapter(Context ctx) { this.mCtx = ctx; } public DbAdapter open() throws SQLException { mDbHelper = new DatabaseHelper(mCtx); mDb = mDbHelper.getWritableDatabase(); return this; } public void close() { mDbHelper.close(); } public long createGirl(int id,String name, int totdays) { ContentValues initialValues = new ContentValues(); initialValues.put(KEY_ROWID, id); initialValues.put(KEY_NAME, name); initialValues.put(KEY_TOT_DAYS, totdays); return mDb.insert(DATABASE_TABLE, null, initialValues); } public long createGirl_fd_day(int refid, long fd) { ContentValues initialValues = new ContentValues(); initialValues.put("ref_id", refid); initialValues.put("calendar", fd); return mDb.insert(DATABASE_TABLE, null, initialValues); } public boolean updateGirl(int rowId, String name, int totdays) { ContentValues args = new ContentValues(); args.put(KEY_NAME, name); args.put(KEY_TOT_DAYS, totdays); return mDb.update(DATABASE_TABLE, args, KEY_ROWID + "=" + rowId, null) > 0; } public boolean deleteGirlsData() { if (mDb.delete(DATABASE_TABLE_2, null, null)>0) if(mDb.delete(DATABASE_TABLE, null, null)>0) return true; return false; } public Bundle fetchAllGirls() { Bundle extras = new Bundle(); Cursor cur = mDb.query(DATABASE_TABLE, new String[] {KEY_ROWID, KEY_NAME, KEY_TOT_DAYS}, null, null, null, null, null); cur.moveToFirst(); int tot = cur.getCount(); extras.putInt("tot", tot); int index; for (int i=0;i<tot;i++){ index=cur.getInt(cur.getColumnIndex("_id")); extras.putString("name"+index, cur.getString(cur.getColumnIndex("name"))); extras.putInt("totdays"+index, cur.getInt(cur.getColumnIndex("totdays"))); } cur.close(); return extras; } public Cursor fetchGirl(int rowId) throws SQLException { Cursor mCursor = mDb.query(true, DATABASE_TABLE, new String[] {KEY_ROWID, KEY_NAME, KEY_TOT_DAYS}, KEY_ROWID + "=" + rowId, null, null, null, null, null); if (mCursor != null) { mCursor.moveToFirst(); } return mCursor; } public Cursor fetchGirlCD(int rowId) throws SQLException { Cursor mCursor = mDb.query(true, DATABASE_TABLE_2, new String[] {"ref_id", "day"}, "ref_id=" + rowId, null, null, null, null, null); if (mCursor != null) { mCursor.moveToFirst(); } return mCursor; } } Tank's Valerio From Italy :)

  • SQL ConnectionString in global.asax overridden by web.config

    - by rlb.usa
This is going to sound very odd, but I have a web.config like this: <connectionStrings> <remove name="LocalSqlServer"/> <add name="LocalSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=BACKUPDB;..." providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings> And a global.asax like this: void Session_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Code that runs when a new session is started if (Application["con"] == null || Application["con"] == "") { Application["con"] = "Data Source=PRODUCTIONDB;..."; } } And EVERYWHERE in my code, I reference my ConnectionStrings like this: SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(Convert.ToString(HttpContext.Current.Application["con"])); However, I see that everything I do inside this application goes to BACKUP db instead of PRODUCTIONDB. What is going on, how could this happen, and why? It doesn't make any sense to me, and it got me into a lot of trouble. We use LocalSqlServer string for FormsAuthentication.
