  • Real World Application of XPath & XSLT

    - by Knowledge Craving
Can any professional please specify some real world application, where he / she has used this XPath & XSLT for any logic / view? It creates a great query among some of the people I've communicated with, and so I myself also wants to know about this. I wish that this question will create a starting point from where new developers will take home some practical experience. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How to create PHP method linking?

    - by Kerry
I've seen other objects that do this: $obj->method1()->method2(); How do I do that? Is each function just modifying the pointer of an object or returning a pointer? I don't know the proper term for this style -- if anyone could help me with that, it would be great.

  • Removing Numbers from a String using Javascript

    - by Abs
Hello all, How do I remove numbers from a string using Javascript? I am not very good with regex at all but I think I can use with replace to achieve the above? It would actually be great if there was something JQuery offered already to do this? //Something Like this?? var string = 'All23'; string.replace('REGEX', ''); I appreciate any help on this.

  • Websphre portal does not startup

    - by Kaushik
When I try to start up a websphere portal server, it hangs at the line : Server WebSphere_Portal open for e-business and although it means that the server started up successfully, it is not...because in the progress bar, i stll see 'Starting.....' I have tried deleting the wstemp and temp directories but beyond that I am not sure what I can do to debug the problem. The server with the same profile starts up great from another workspace, but when I come to this workspace, it just hangs at Server WebSphere_Portal open for e-business I am using RAD 7 and portal 6.1

  • Extending a Java Swing class in Clojure

    - by mikera
I'm trying to extend a Java Swing component in Clojure, i.e. I want to extend a javax.swing.JComponent and add some custom methods implemented in pure Clojure in addition to all the standard inherited methods. I've tried using "proxy" which works great if I just want a single instance (in the same way as an anonymous inner class). However I'd really like a named class so that I can generate an arbitrary number of instances. What's the recommended way of doing this?

  • Why RSA Decryption process takes longer time than the Encryption process?

    - by Tara Singh
I have some idea that it is due to some complex calculation, but i want to know about what exactly happens which takes long time than the corresponding encryption process. Any link to webpage or paper would be of great help. Thanks Thanks for the answers, One more Doubt, What about the Signing and verification? Will this time difference be there for Signing and verification also? Ex. Signing requires more time than Verification?

  • Need help with text animation within UITableViewCell

    - by gdiphone
I'm trying to implement a simple text animation in a custom UITableViewCell without having to go into editing mode which automatically brings up the delete button on the right. What I'm trying to accomplish is that when the label is updated by a button within the UITableviewcell, the text in the label is updated but with some smooth animation like sliding to the right since the updated text is prepended to the string. Any sample code would be great. thanks

  • Finding existing tickets before opening new ones on trac

    - by Jens Jansson
We're using Trac as the task management tool at the project we work in. However, Trac search is maybe not the most intuitive search out there, and we end up having multiple duplicates as the reporters can't effectively find if there already is a reported ticket of the question he or she found. Stack Overflow's "Related Questions" concept is great and works magnificently! I was wondering if someone has heard of some similar plugin to Trac, or if you have solved this problem some other way.

  • Are there any C++ style and/or standard example files available?

    - by Harvey
While there are lots of questions about coding style, beautifying, and enforcement, I haven't found any example C++ files that are used as a quick reference for style. The file should be one or two pages long and exemplify a given coding standard/style. For example, the Google C++ Style Guide is a great reference, but I think a one to two page piece of code written in their style pinned to a wall would be more useful in day-to-day use. Do any of these already exist?

  • Undo implementation - DOM manipulations

    - by sonofdelphi
Is there a library that can be used for implementing undo/redo functionality for DOM element manipulations in JavaScript? I'm writing an app that moves around DOM elements, enables editing and deletion of those elements. There are event-handlers and other objects associated with each element operated upon. Not sure whether I need to roll my own implementation of the Command pattern for this. Surely, there must be something available? If not, suggestions and pointers would be a great help.

  • Features to remove from C++

    - by Justin Ethier
This question was inspired by What features would you like to see added to C++? (also see What features do you miss in C++?). C++ is a great general-purpose language, but perhaps too general and feature-rich: multiple inheritance, operator overloading, manual memory management, templates, smart pointers, virtual destructors, legacy frameworks (think MFC), and I could go on. Is there any one feature or aspect of C++ that you would like removed to make our lives easier as C++ developers? One feature per answer, please.

  • Is there any way to get the SHA of a commit from its message?

    - by Benjol
When doing a git tag, I'm not always great at remembering if HEAD~6 (for example) is inclusive or exclusive. Given that most of my commits are prefixed with an issue number, I wondered if there is some magic command for searching for the commit SHA from part of its message. I know it's easy to do a git log and work from there, but I want more easy :)

Great that works If I place "£" in the string, or use [currencyStyle stringFromNumber] the text file will not be created. The "£" and the [currencyStyle stringFromNumber] works if the information is printed to a "New View" page on the simulator, pound and all Can someone please explain what's happening?

  • Possible ways of representing data in memory (.net)

    - by This is it
Hi What are the possible ways of representing data in memory in .Net (or in general)? It would be great if data could be sorted and looked up by key (or multiple keys). We are thinking to use collections, arrays, list of collections/arrays. One object would be in several collections (one sorted asc, other desc, etc.). Maybe this is not a good idea, and we would like to hear some other possible solutions. Thank you
