Hi Guys
What's the maximum size of ASP.NET cache (either deployer on a single server or out-of-process on a Web farm) you can have?
If there is a limit on how big ASP.NET cache you can have, is there a workaround to increase that limit?
Thanks
james
I have searched the stackoverflow site to find if someone has recommended any good books that show how jQuery can be used with asp.net controls. All the threads lead to only good jQuery books.
Can anyone recommend me a good book that shows how to use jquery with asp.net?
In what location does a compiled .net app look for .NET assembly file?

How can I go to an anchor tag on the page when the myDropDownList_SelectedIndexChanged() event fires?
I am using regular ASP.NET Forms.
Update: The following is valid for an ASP.NET Button. I would like to achieve the same functionality (going to #someAnchor) when I select an option from the Dropdown list.
<asp:Button ID="btnSubmit" runat="server" Text="Do IT" Width="186px" PostBackUrl="#myAnchor" CausesValidation="false" />
I installed Visual Studio 2010 (ultimate).
When I click on New Project- Visual Basic (or C#)- Web, the only options i get is AjaxControlExtender, AjaxServerControl and ASP.Net Server Control. How do i get the ASP.Net WebApplication option to show up?

In C# I can do this:
new SomeObjectType("abc", 10);
In other words, I can call new without assigning the created instance to any variable. However, in VB.Net it seems I cannot do the same thing.
New SomeObjectType("abc", 10) ' syntax error

Hello,
I have developed an ASP.NET web application that I'm working on putting the finishing touches on. To assist with this, I have been using YSlow. With this tool, I have discovered that I have not properly configured the entity tags of the components on my pages. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do this.
How do I configure entity tags on components within an ASP.NET page?
Thank you!

Which is a good .Net based CMS out there (for creating a corporate website). I have used Kentico CMS for some time, and am moderately happy with it.
However, is there anything better out there. I would like the ability to develop my own custom asp.net templates for various page types and install them.
Is there a way to get the values of various properties of a (both .NET and non-.NET) DLL via C#?

Hi All
I want to develop and automate Office software like 'Microsoft Excel 2007' And 'Microsoft Word 2007'. But I do not know how to use VBA or use C#/.Net Framework to do so.
What are the benefits of using VBA vs .Net framework?
Which one should I focus on learning?
In light of this question I thought it'd be really neat to have a similar question about C#/.Net.
So, what is the most awkward or misleading method name of the .Net and/or C# API?

Is there anything like Beanshell, which exposes CLR classes instead of Java classes, and lets you write scripts in C# or VB.Net (or any .Net language for that matter)
Should come in handy to test one-liner code snippets
I have a Build Agent that was only dealing in .Net 4.0 RC stuff, and so only had .Net 2.0 (natively) and 4.0 (manually) versions installed.
It now needs to support stuff compiled against 3.5 SP1. Does anyone know if I'm asking for trouble trying to install 3.5 SP1 after 4.0 RC has already been installed?
Thanks in advance.
I have got a .NET winform application that uses a Web Mapping Service that is password protected. Unfortunately I cannot attach a username and password to requests, ( the request are generated from a GIS mapcontrol)
I can think of two ways around it
Intercept all web requests from my .NET app and add a username/password
Set up an Apache webserver and use proxypass to pass along my request adding a username/password
Does anyone know how to do either of these?
