• Broadcastreceiver to obtain ServiceState information

  Hi, Does anyone know of a way to obtain the phone service state (IN_SERVICE, OUT_OF_SERVICE, EMERGENCY_ONLY, POWER_OFF) in android. I was hoping there would be a broadcastreciever to identify the changes, but I can't find anything. I know there's a listener but I'm not sure how I would use that from my app as it runs as a service using a WakefulIntentService (by thecommonsguy). With something like battery level (ie BATTERY_LOW, BATTERY_OKAY) it's quite easy, but I just can't work out a similar things for phone service changes.

• Table for each region in MySQL

  There are four regions with more than one million records total. Should I create a table with a region column or a table for each region and combine them to get the top ranks? If I combine all four regions, none of my columns will be unique so I will need to also add an id column for my primary key. Otherwise, name, accountId & characterId would be candidate keys or should I just add an id column anyways. • How to enable the video output on your iPad app?

  Just found out that the video output of the iPad is not a system level functionality, but that it needs to be explicitly build in into each app. Is there somebody who has any experience with this, who could point me to sample code? Secondary question would be: why wouldn't Apple make this a system feature. Is it a hardware issue, that I should be aware of when building this into my app?

  I have WSS 3, AD is setup with users, those users are added to the WSS 3 site, I can login with any of the AD users, but if they have a permission level lower than "system administrator" they can't access a folder or item in that folder. How do I get lower permissions to replicate?

  I need a confirmation. Client 1 insert rows in a table inside a transaction. Client 2 request this table with a SELECT. If on this client isolation level is set to READ COMMITTED, can you confirm that the SELECT won't returns the rows that aren't yet committed by Client 1. Thanks

• Updating version of multiple components using 1 file in c#

  Hello, I have a solution with many components and each component has its own version file (AssemblyInfo.cs). Currently each file as the standard structure: [assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.0.0")] [assembly: AssemblyFileVersion("1.0.0.0")] I would like to use the file version as the component version and keep that independent but I would like to have the "Product Version" be the same for all the components. I would like to do that by having a file at the solution level that is used by all the projects to get that version embedded. Any suggestions Thanks Tony

I tried the following method: public static Color SetTransparency(int A, Color color) { return Color.FromArgb(A, Color.R, Color.G, Color.B); } but for some reason, no matter what the A is, the returned Color's transparency level just won't change.
