  • Font display in iPhone

    I develop a simple mobile page; the font displayed is very samll although I set it as 33px and the screen resolution for iPhone is 320 X 480. Does anyone know why it is so small? Or the screen resolution is not 320 X 480 since it can be zoomed. Then how do I make the font to be adapted to the resolution automatically?

    What is the easiest way in standard Java Swing to align three components in such a way that: the dynamic widths of Component1 and Component3 are adjusted to be equal, while Component2 (which is in between) has constant width? Imagine we have some resizable JPanel (such as inside a JFrame).   • Iframe size manipulation

    Is there a way to make the Iframe request an external website as if it is a mobile device, so the content returned will have a small dimension etc? I am displaying external websites in iframes, using width and height attributes <iframe src="http://marketwatch.com" width="300px" height="300px" ></iframe> but because the browser is not a mobile browser, the content returned is tailored to normal browser, and I end up having scrollbars. If the content returned is that for a mobile device, then no more scrollbars etc.

    Hello, I'm trying to get the dojo tree widget working. It works with a small json object, but when i try it with a large json object it goes wrong. There is no error, just the root node.     Hi, I'm trying to a create an update statement along the following lines: TABLE car: id | owner_id | type | status An owner can have multiple cars. UPDATE car c SET c.type = 1 WHERE c.owner_id IN ($ids) AND c.status = [1 IF IT EXISTS, ELSE 0] $ids is reasonably small (under 50 values). It seems simple but I can't seem to get my head around it because I can't use a SELECT subquery with an UPDATE to the same table. Anyone? Thanks

  • What makes C faster than Python?

    I know this is probably a very obvious answer and that I'm exposing myself to less-than-helpful snarky comments, but I don't know the answer so here goes. If Python compiles to bytecode at runtime, is it just that initial compiling step that takes longer? If that's the case wouldn't that just be a small upfront cost in the code (ie if the code is running over a long period of time, do the differences between C and python diminish?)

    I have been learning the mapreduce algorithm and how it can potentially scale to millions of machines, but I don't understand how the sorting of the intermediate keys after the map phase can scale, as there will be: 1,000,000 x 1,000,000 : potential machines communicating small key / value pairs of the intermediate results with each other? Isn't this a bottleneck?

    I add an image to the button in the following way: ImageIcon icon = new ImageIcon("images/col.jpg"); tmp = new JButton(icon); My image is a red sphere but in my button I see only read color. I assume that I see just a small part of the sphere. How can I see the whole image in the button?

  • cURL working on localhost but not on live website

    I have a small piece of script to grab images from a different website, works perfectly in localhost but does not work on on the live website. According to the phpinfo() on the site CURL is enabled. I can't post the script as its sensitive - But off the top of your head what things should I check for to solve this issue? Why would CURL work on localhost and other hosts, but not with others that also have CURL supposedly enabled?

    I need to split this line string in each line, I need to get the third word(film name) but as you see the delimeter is one big blank character in some cases its small like before the numbers at the end or its big as in front of numbers at front.
