  • Finding leaks under GeneralBlock-16?

    - by erastusnjuki
If ObjectAlloc cannot deduce type information for the block, it uses 'GeneralBlock'. Any strategies to get leaks from this block that may eliminate the need of my 'trial and error' methods that I use? The Extended Detail thing doesn't really do it for me as I just keep guessing.

  • Setting dijit.Tree cookie for all pages

    - by peirix
I'm using the same dijit.Tree view over several pages in our application, and I'd like to have the cookie saved for the server name, instead of the folder name. Right now I've got 3 pages and 3 cookies, which each hold their own information on the state of the Tree, which is kinda annoying. Any ways to accomplish this? The only thing I've found on cookies in the API, is that I can set the cookieName and turn cookies on/off.

  • Programmatically loading Entity classes with JPA 2.0?

    - by Dennetik
With Hibernate you can load your Entity classes as: sessionFactory = new AnnotationConfiguration() .addPackage("test.animals") .addAnnotatedClass(Flight.class) .addAnnotatedClass(Sky.class) .addAnnotatedClass(Person.class) .addAnnotatedClass(Dog.class); Is there a way to do the same thing - programmatically loading your Entity classes - in a JPA 2.0 compliant way?

  • iOS: Gesture recogniser for smooth scrolling and flicking a View

    - by AppleDeveloper
I am building an iPad app where I needed to allow resizing views functionality using divider view provided between two views. This divider view is just a 20px height view between two half screen content views - please refer attached images. When user scrolls this divider view up or down, both content views changes their sizes appropriately. I have extended UIView and implemented this using touchMoved delegate as code given below in touchesMoved delegate. It works fine. The only thing is missing with TouchMoved is you can't flick divider view to top or bottom directly. You have to scroll all the way to top or bottom! To support flicking the view I have tried UIPanGestureRecognizer but I don't see smooth scrolling with it. When I handle split position change in UIGestureRecognizerStateChanged state, just touching divider view flick it to top or bottom. Handling split position change in UIGestureRecognizerStateEnded does the same but I don't see content view resizing with dividerview scrolling! Could someone please tell me how could I achieve both smooth scrolling of divider view with resizing content views(like touchMoved) and flicking the view. Any alternative approach would also fine. Thanks. - (void)touchesMoved:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { UITouch *touch = [touches anyObject]; if (touch) { CGPoint lastPt = [touch previousLocationInView:self]; CGPoint pt = [touch locationInView:self]; float offset = pt.y - lastPt.y; self.parentViewController.splitPosition = self.parentViewController.splitPosition + offset; } } - (void)handlePan:(UIPanGestureRecognizer*)recognizer { CGPoint translation = [recognizer translationInView:recognizer.view]; CGPoint velocity = [recognizer velocityInView:recognizer.view]; if (recognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateBegan) { } else if (recognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateChanged) { // If I change split position here, I don't see smooth scrolling dividerview...it directly jumps to the top or bottom! self.parentViewController.splitPosition = self.parentViewController.splitPosition + translation.y; } else if (recognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateEnded) { // If I change split position here, the same thing happens at end and I don't see my divider view moving with my scrolling and resizing my views. self.parentViewController.splitPosition = self.parentViewController.splitPosition + translation.y; } } Initial screen Increased top view size by scrolling divider view Top view is totally hidden here but I have to scroll divider view all the way to top. I want to flick the divider view so that it directly goes from any position to top

    - by piluso
Hi, I have a web page, normal no fuzz or weird stuff. And I want to trap that page inside an html frame when a user clicks on a given link. The thing is i don't want to reload the page. Some kind of dynamic DOM trickery seems the way to go, but to no avail in my tests. If anyone has any ideas it would be great! Thanks

  • Updating a single file in a compressed tar

    - by Phil
Given a compressed archive file such as application.tar.gz which has a folder application/x/y/z.jar among others, I'd like to be able to take my most recent version of z.jar and update/refresh the archive with it. Is there a way to do this other than something like the following? tar -xzf application.tar.gz cp ~/myupdatedfolder/z.jar application/x/y tar -czf application application.tar.gz I understand the -u switch in tar may be of use to avoid having to untar the whole thing, but I'm unsure how to use it exactly.

  • Python: how to inherite and override

    - by Guy
Consider this situation: I get an object of type A which has the function f. I.e: class A: def f(): print 'in f' def h(): print 'in h' and I get an instance of this class but I want to override the f function but save the rest of the functionality of A. So what I was thinking was something of the sort: class B(A): .... def f(): print 'in B->f' and the usage would be: def main(a): b = B(a) b.f() #prints "in B->f" b.h() #print "in h" How do you do such a thing?

  • [ipad] Is there a SDK for the photo gallery?

    - by Rafael Steil
The "Photos.app" in iPad has a gallery that you can browse all photos, including support for slideshow and other things. I'd like to know if this API is available (aka, not private) and which one it is (so I won't need to implement one photo gallery from scratch). I looked at http://github.com/facebook/three20, but I'm not sure if it is the same thing. Thank.

  • Auto-Completion in Unix VI editor

    - by IllustratedInsomnia
Hey guys, after using graphical IDE's like Visual Studio, I'm used to pressing CTRL+Space to auto-complete a variable or function name. Now, I know such a thing isn't completely possible in VI, but I heard there was a list of commands that could be mapped that allowed automatic completion of variables and functions in the current file opened. Does anyone know what this sequence is? Thanks in advance.

  • What's the difference between the ruby irb prompt modes?

    - by Steven
I can change the irb prompt mode with irb --prompt prompt-mode I can see what null and simple does, but I can't tell the difference between null and xmp and the difference between default/classic/inf-ruby. Can someone explain to me what these other modes do? It seems pointless to have multiple modes doing the same thing.

  • iPhone - Tweak the UINavigationController to show a UINavigationBar made into IB

    - by Oliver
Hello, I've build a UINavigationBar into Interface Builder, and I have a NavigationController into my app. I'd like to make the one use the other to work. Just to manage the bar into IB and let the controller use it as its view (and adding by itself the Back button if needed), or in another way to do the same thing, let the NavBar use the navcontroller to adjust its display. Do you see a way to do this ? If not, I really don't see the use of the NavigationBar proposed into IB.

  • UIAlertViewDelegate clickedButtonAtIndex: usefulness?

    - by Ed Marty
The UIAlertViewDelegate protocol defines two methods, alertView:clickedButtonAtIndex: and alertView:didDismissWithButtonIndex:, which seem to me to be identical in usefulness. Why is there a clickedButtonAtIndex and a didDismissButtonWithIndex when they both do the same thing? I realize there is also a willDismissButtonWithIndex that happens before the alert view is dismissed, but is there any reason to use clickedButtonAtIndex instead of didDismissButtonWithIndex?

  • Why is "copy and paste" of code dangerous?

    - by Yigang Wu
Sometimes, my boss will complain us why we need so long time to implement a feature. Actually, the feature has been implemented in other AP before, you just need to copy and paste codes from there. The cost should be low. It's really a hard question, because copy and paste codes is not a easy thing from my point. Do you have any good reason to explain your boss who doesn't know technology?
