• need some tips about distributed c# desktop application

  Hi , my doubt is the following, I have a network with 5 pcs, each machine has XP installed, I don't know much about distributed desktop applications, so what i want is to create a C# application using sql server 2005 database and visual studio 2008. I want that each pc can have access to create/update/delete data on the one XP machine that will store the database files. Do i need WServer2003 or any special network technology?? thanks in advance

  i have a properties file (under rsources folder) in which i'm stocking a variable (key=value), i need to update it when a user insert a new value or update the older one , so can i do it ? i have doubts because it's a web application so it' simply a war deployed in the server so how it is possible to access the .properties file and change it directly from the code . if it's not possible is there another solution ? • iPhone Application failing to come back from sigkill

  I have no idea if this is intended behaviour, but whenever the application exits (say, the user is double-clicking the home button and pressing on the red dash on the icon) I get the dreaded SIGKILL. Now, when I try to launch the app again all I get is the old screen state and a frozen (I presume ?) program. It could be because of clunky memory management, but NSZombieEnabled doesn't seem to agree. Any thoughts ?
