  • How to filter running in VLC video stream on commandline?

    I easily can broadcast my webcam with VLC using command lines like this (I use Windows): "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv -I --dshow-vdev="Logitech QuickCam Express / Go" dshow:// --sout When I paste command into CMD and hit enter it starts streaming (all is fine - I can play it). How can I now for example add brightness or any other filter to that stream from the commandline?

  • DELL Inspiron N 5050 doesn't Power On until I Plug-in the Charger

    I bought a Dell Inspiron N 5050 last week, and recently discovered a problem with my laptop. It doesn't Power On until and unless I Plug-in the charger. After I plug-in the charger, it boots up fine, and continues to work well after disconnecting the charger. I don't know what the problem is exactly? I was planning to contact Customer Care, but I wanted to know if I could fix it myself. Please help!

    I have recently bought myself a new monitor, now I'd had my previous screen well over 5 years now so I'm looking at this one thinking the picture doesn't quite look right (not bad, just different). Rather than just wait until I'm used to the new picture I'd rather get it fine tuned, then get used to it - so I can reap the maximum benefit. So, can you please suggest reliable ways of configuring an LCD monitor's brightness/contrast/colour/etc to provide the optimum possibly quality image?

  • Computer no display from connection problem.

    My computer is booting but has no display. The optical drive has power, but the USB doesn't, so I figured that I had a broken motherboard. However I tried to boot my computer again laying flat, and it worked fine for two seconds, and then froze like it did the first time. It had no display after that. I have come to the conclusion that it is a connection problem (someone had a similar problem on one of the online forums).

    I try to connect remotly to the KVM (console) of an Hyper-V Virtual Machine using vmconnect.exe but I'm dealing with some kind of a problem : When I connect from a computer within the same AD of my Hyper-V Host, everything work fine but when I try to connect from a computer not within the same AD, wmconnect say that my RCP services is not running on the host The problem is that it doesn't ask me for any credentials and so, i can't authenticate in the AD Does someone have any clues ?

    I have installed Virtualbox in Ubuntu 12.04, and I created a virtual guest with Windows 7 64bit. Guest additions were also installed. It works fine, but I can't set the resolution to anything higher than 1600 x 1200, whereas my screen is 1920x1080. Here's my system specifications: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20GHz AMD Radeon 7650 VGA 8 Gb RAM DDR3 Moreover, if I try to enhable 3D acceleration in the settings of my guest, when I expand to full screen it aborts...     I get different output of file command on same file(checked inode) from different machines. One of the machines is with suse10 sp3 and the another - rhel4. machine1>file x.tcl x.tcl: ASCII English text machin2>file x.tcl x.tcl: data Even in vi editor same file look different from different machine. Any clue? One more thing - there's third machine suse10 sp3 works fine. Is this machine issue?

    I just recently installed eaccelerator and switched php to dso everything was fine on server Server load was about 1-2 (4 cpus) and after some time server got overloaded (Server load increased to 250) and server stopped. In suphp mode server was overloading by traffic so i decided to switch it to eaccelerator and now i am lost... Can someone explain that?

    I have a server that I cannot access. At first I thought it was just some temporary failure with the server, but checking from other IP addresses reveals that it is working just fine. It's only my IP address that's failing. So here is what I've tried: nslookup - resolves correctly ping - 100% packet loss using the IP address or domain traceroute - first few hops work, but from about 6 and on, I just get stars Edit: I am using OpenDNS for DNS resolution, and as mentioned above, the problem is not DNS resolution anyway.

    I'm trying to run LKL (Linux Keyboard Logger) in a Ubuntu 9.04 VirtualBox VM (VirtualBox 2.2.2 running on a XP host). The package installs fine, but when I try to run it lkl -l -k /usr/share/lkl/keymaps/us_km -o ./kbd.log & it hogs the CPU usage to 50% and never logs a keystroke (in fact the kbd.log file is never created) Any clues? TIA

    Apache 2.2 CentOS Plesk 9.x I am using Plesk to manage my domain names on my virtual host.and GoDaddy for DNS I have created a new sub-domain blog. I can see the httpd.include for example has a new virtualhost entry for blog.example.com I can also see folders have been created for the subdomain blog vhost\example.com folder But when I try to go to blog.example.com - I get an error - basically the host is not getting resolved My site - example.com is working fine otherwise Any idea what could I be missing ? I did try restarting the apache web server as well

  • Hp pavilion dv7 power button

    My power button is non responsive I am getting LED for charging. I've taken it apart before to change the dc jack and it was fine and a few months later it just powered off. I try to power back on and is goes to start up then shuts off. I just took it apart and came to find the ribbon cable connecting the power button/speakers cover is barely hanging on do I have to replace the whole thing or is there a way to replace the ribbon cable?

I can only fine 1, the OpenJDK : $ which java /usr/bin/java $ java -version java version "1.6.0_0" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_0-b11) OpenJDK Server VM (build 1.6.0_0-b11, mixed mode) How can I find the others?     I'm a newbie to Xen, and I've recently installed Xen 4.2 by sources on my system. I've found a strange thing I've a VM when I start it via the command "xm create machine.cfg" all work fine, but if I use "xl create machine.cfg" it gives me the following error xc: error: panic: xc_dom_core.c:442: xc_dom_alloc_segment: segment ramdisk too large (0x4ba 0x2000 - 0x1bd9 pages): Out of memory libxl: error: libxl_dom.c:208:libxl__build_pv xc_dom_build_image failed: Invalid argument cannot (re-)build domain: -3 xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory What could be the problem?   • unable to mount disks in usb dvd drive

    I have 2 USB DVD drives. One that I borrowed from work which I have been testing with which works fine for me, which is why I brought one of myself. When I try and mount my new dvd drive this happens: [18:06:45][arcath@londinium][~] sudo mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/dvd/ mount: special device /dev/sr0 does not exist /dev/sr0 is only in the list when the drive is attached and it works on other machines using the same cables so it must be something with my server. The server is running Ubuntu 10.10 server

  • Executing git post-receive hook on windows server

    I trying to execute a post-receive hook on a windows server git(msysgit) installation - to sync the repo to codebasehq. The script does nothing more than just wget "url" but it doesn't seem to be executing. I've renamed the "post-receive.sample" to "post-receive" and installed wget to windows path which works fine via the command prompt. Is there something I'm not doing here? I would appreciate any insights on how to get this working. Thanks.

    How can I manage a domain with the "Active Directory Users and Computers" from a computer that is not on that domain? I realize I'll need some domain admin (or less) credentials, but that's fine. I have 2 scenarios where I'd like to do this: From a machine on Domain 1 but I'd also like to manage Domain 2 (the 2 domains are in no way related) From a laptop that is not a member of any domain. If we can figure out #2, that will be "good enough" but #1 would be nice too.

    I have a LAN with 50 clients and my company has made me do a local WebApp. This is new territory for me, but as I see it, the individual internal IP's are regulated by MikroTIK. I was wondering, how does one make MikroTIK recognise internal domain names for this IPs? Right now, the WebApp works fine and can be used by entering 192.168.3.150/app/ But since most people have difficulties entering IPs I was wondering if i could do smth like : myroom.lan would be just as you typed 192.168.3.150

  • Wireless internet became extremely slow on my 27" IMac

    The wireless internet on my Mac became extremely slow recently on my 27" IMac. I don't recall doing anything different other than doing the Apple Software updates which I let it pop up and install automatically. On my Mac Book internet is still fine so I don't think it's the model or the router. I'm not sure where to start digging the cause of this or how to solve it. Looking into the System Preferences on my IMac, it's pretty identical to my MacBook!

    I have strange behavior with browsers on my PC (but it work well before yesteday) My Chrome, FF (ERROR: Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown Error ) write me that can't connect to Internet I need to check Proxy, Firewall etc. I did it and all settings are fine, on other PC in this area all working with the same settings.   • Mounting case-sensitive shared folder in VirtualBox

    I have an OSX host with a ubuntu VM trying to mount a shared folder. I'm using the options: sudo mount -t vboxsf -o uid=1000,gid=100 pg ~/pg-host The folder mounts fine, however it appears that the mounted directory is case-insensitive, even though my OSX drive is formatted case-sensitive. Are there any options to control this behavior ?
