  I have the following code <Canvas Width="800" Height="600"> ... In the UserControl I animate the ScaleTranform to 1. I want UserControl to "grow" from its center, but it "grows" from the upper left corner of it. The values in CenterX and CenterY do nothing. How can I make it Scale as I want? Thanks in advance.

• Encrypted HTML page without HTTPS

  I have a Perl script to open this page http://svejo.net/popular/all/new/ and filter the names of the posts but except headers everything seems encrypted. Nothing can be read. When I open the same page in a browser everything looks fine including the source code. How is it possible to encrypt a page for a script and not for a browser? My Perl script sends the same headers as my browser (Google Chrome).

  I have a question about idioms and readability, and there seems to be a clash of Python philosophies for this particular case: I want to build dictionary A from dictionary B. If a specific key does not exist in B, then do nothing and continue on. Which way is better? try: A["blah"] = B["blah"] except KeyError: pass or if "blah" in B: A["blah"] = B["blah"] "Do and ask for forgiveness" vs. "simplicity and explicitness". Which is better and why?

  Hi folks, I'm using CheeryPy in order to serve a python application through WSGI. I tried benchmarking it, but it seems as if CheeryPy can only handle exactly 10 req/sec. No matter what I do. Built a simple app with a 3 second pause, in order to accurately determine what is going on... and I can confirm that the 10 req/sec has nothing to do with the resources used by the python script. __ Any ideas?

  If you stick to managed code and standard coding (nothing that does unconventional things withe CLR) in .NET, is there any reason to manually invoke the GC or request to run finalizers on unreferenced objects? The reason I ask is thaty I have an app that grows huge in Working Memory set. I'm wondering if calling System.GC.Collect(); and System.GC.RunFinalizers(); would help, and if it would force anything that wouldn't be done by the CLR normally anyways.

  I have a "links.tpl" file which contains lines with many variables such as below {assign var=link_main value="index.php"} {assign var=link_login value="?a=login"} but when i include this file in home.tpl using {include file="file.tpl"} the variables {$link_main}, {$link_login} are not included i put the {assign var=link_main value="index.php"} in home.tpl and it works but not from included file i have tried adding scope=global to variable and parent to include but nothing happened I tried the last few hours finding a solution, any help is appreciated

• Problem with using the XPATH functions

  I've got a problem with using the XPATH functions. When I try to call some functions like lower-case or upper-case etc,they are not executed and I can't figure the problem out. I included the namespace xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions" at the top of my XSL stylesheet and use fn namespace to call these functions but anyway nothing is working. Can anyone explain the reason and what I should do in order to be able to use the following functions? Cheers

• vba word 2007 - protect document but enable toolbars

  I have a document with sections that are protected and unprotected. With Word 2003 the sections that were unprotected had formatting enabled - specifically the bullets and numbering. Now with Word 2007, even though the same sections are unprotected, the bulleting and numbering is disabled. Is there anyway to enable this?   As an ASP.NET developer, I'm used to working with how VS/C# transparently autogens proxy classes for web references (yes, I know, we're spoiled), but now that I'm creating documentation for more than one coding platform I'm trying to discover what the equivelant to that is in any other framework. So is there a similar way to work transparently with web reference proxy classes for say, RoR, PHP, and Python? And if there's nothing integrated, are there tools you recommend to autogen the proxy classes, or do you recommend to roll custom classes?
