  • Test assertions for tuples with floats

    - by Space_C0wb0y
    I have a function that returns a tuple that, among others, contains a float value. Usually I use assertAlmostEquals to compare those, but this does not work with tuples. Also, the tuple contains other data-types as well. Currently I am asserting every element of the tuple individually, but that gets too much for a list of such tuples. Is there any good way to write assertions for such cases?

  • JQuery delay()-function breaks loop?

    - by Rakward
    I'm trying to fade an element in and out, but with a slight pause in between, it works without the pause, but when I add the pause using the jQuery delay()-function, it just stops; Here's the code: $('#headerimage2').each(function(){ for(i=1;i<50;i++){ $(this).fadeOut(1200).delay(1000).fadeIn(1000).delay(1000); } }); Why does the delay()-function (both first and second) break the loop?

  • How to make Dropdown menu using :hover on <a> in place of hover on <ul>?

    - by metal-gear-solid
    IE 6 only support :Hover on <a> then can we make css drop down using :hover on <a> http://htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/dropdowns/ This example use JavaScript to add hover on LI 'sfhover' class to li elements in the 'nav' id'd ul element when they are 'moused over' and removes it, using a regular expression, when 'moused out'. So now we've got the Suckerfish pumping out new classes, the next step is to simply duplicate the :hover selector with 'sfhover' class selectors:

  • How Android BaseAdapter notifyDataSetChanged works?

    - by Yama moto
    In the document for the method notifyDataSetChanged of class BaseAdapter noted that "Notifies the attached observers that the underlying data has been changed and any View reflecting the data set should refresh itself. " Supposed I changed the 3rd element in my string array (array data for the listview), what "any View reflecting the data set should refresh itself" means ? Does the 3rd view item in my list view be notified ? Also, how is notifyDataSetChanged() and getView() concerned ? Thanks in advance

  • jQuery UI Slider (setting programatically)

    - by jAndy
    Hi Folks, I'd like to modify the sliders on-the-fly. I tried to do so by using $("#slider").slider("option", "values", [50,80]); This call will set the values, but the element will not update the slider positions. Calling $('#slider").trigger('change'); does not help either. Is there another/better way to modify the value AND slider position ?

  • Drill down rss reader iphone

    - by bing
    Hi everyone, I have made a simple rss reader. The app loads an xml atom file in an array. Now I have added categories to my atom feed, which are first loaded in the array What is the best way to add drill down functionality programmatically. Now only the categories are loaded into the array and displayed. This is the implementation code ..... loading xml file <snip> ..... - (void)parserDidStartDocument:(NSXMLParser *)parser { NSLog(@"found file and started parsing"); } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser parseErrorOccurred:(NSError *)parseError { NSString * errorString = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Unable to download story feed from web site (Error code %i )", [parseError code]]; NSLog(@"error parsing XML: %@", errorString); UIAlertView * errorAlert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Error loading content" message:errorString delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:@"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil]; [errorAlert show]; } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didStartElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName attributes:(NSDictionary *)attributeDict{ //NSLog(@"found this element: %@", elementName); currentElement = [elementName copy]; if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"entry"]) { // clear out our story item caches... Categoryentry = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; currentID = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; currentTitle = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; currentSummary = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; currentContent = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; } } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didEndElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName{ //NSLog(@"ended element: %@", elementName); if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"entry"]) { // save values to an entry, then store that item into the array... [Categoryentry setObject:currentTitle forKey:@"title"]; [Categoryentry setObject:currentID forKey:@"id"]; [Categoryentry setObject:currentSummary forKey:@"summary"]; [Categoryentry setObject:currentContent forKey:@"content"]; [categories addObject:[Categoryentry copy]]; NSLog(@"adding category: %@", currentTitle); } } - (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser foundCharacters:(NSString *)string{ //NSLog(@"found characters: %@", string); // save the characters for the current item... if ([currentElement isEqualToString:@"title"]) { [currentTitle appendString:string]; } else if ([currentElement isEqualToString:@"id"]) { [currentID appendString:string]; } else if ([currentElement isEqualToString:@"summary"]) { [currentSummary appendString:string]; } else if ([currentElement isEqualToString:@"content"]) { [currentContent appendString:string]; } } - (void)parserDidEndDocument:(NSXMLParser *)parser { [activityIndicator stopAnimating]; [activityIndicator removeFromSuperview]; NSLog(@"all done!"); NSLog(@"categories array has %d entries", [categories count]); [newsTable reloadData]; }

  • Jquery interactive table - multiple instance problem

    - by petejm
    Hello forgive me if i use the wrong terminology and the messiness of this code it is the first time I have used jquery. I am making an interactive table-product selector. Compatible systems run along the top and colour choices down the left. The table works by seeing if there is a cell is empty in a html table. If the cell is empty then that is a compatible system and a circle image is in that cell and it is selectable. When selected the product code is generated (by looking at the colour value and system name) and the relevant resource download pack can be downloaded. This works 'fine' when on its own on a page however when I have multiple instances of it on one page they interfere with each other. Only the first one works and clicking in the 2nd 3rd etc table updates the first one. I need these to function independant of each other. I believe the problem is centering around the (this) command working across all of the tables but I can't quite figure this out with what I know of jquery. <script type="text/javascript">// <![CDATA[ jQuery(document).ready(function($j){ $j(document).ready(function() { jQuery.noConflict() (function(){ $j(".options").each(function() { // current td element var tx = $j(this); // do it once only var val = tx.text(); tx.css('background', val ==1 ? '' : 'url(circ.png)'); }); $j("#para").text('').append("Please make a selection");; $j(".options").click(function(e) { $j(".options").each(function() { // current td element var tx = $j(this); // do it once only var val = tx.text(); tx.css('background', val ==1 ? '' : 'url(circ.png)'); }); var ProductCode = 241; var currentCellText = $j(this).text(); var LeftCellText = $j(this).prev().text(); var RightCellText = $j(this).next().text(); var RowIndex =$j(this).parent().parent().children().index($j(this).parent()); var ColIndex = $j(this).parent().children().index($j(this)); var RowsAbove = RowIndex; var ColName = $j(".head").children(':eq(' + ColIndex + ')').text(); var rowid = $j(this).parent().attr('id'); if(currentCellText===''){$j(this).css('background', 'url(circfill.png)'); $j("#para").text('').append( ColName +"-"+ ProductCode +"-"+ rowid +"<br />") $j("#resourcepack").text('').append("Download Selected Resource Pack") $j("#resourcepack").click(function(){ window.location = '241.zip'}); ;} else{$j("#para").text('').append("Incompatible Selection"); $j("#resourcepack").text('').append() }}); }); }); }); </script>

  • XSD.exe question about include files and code generation

    - by Roger Willcocks
    If you have an XSD with an includes reference. Is it possible to generate 2 separate class files. 1 for the XSD, and 1 for the included XSD? My Scenario 4 XSDs, each of which share 15-20 element definitions in common. Rather than maintaining, I'd like to end up with the 4 XSDs all referencing a fifth file with the common definitions, and code generating 5 .cs files to use.
