• Using symbolic links with git

  I used to have my system configuration files all in one directory for better management but now i need to use some version control on it. But the problem is that git doesn't understand symbolic links that point to outside of the repository, and i can't invert the role ( having the real files on the repository and the symbolic links on their proper path ) since some files are read before the kernel loads. I think that I can use unison to sync the files in the repo and and the their paths, but it's just not practical. And hard links will probably be broken. Any idea ?

This is a practice that we're stopping, but we don't want to sever our team because they work hard, they're really cheap, and they produce excellent accounting and reporting of their actions. What are ways that we can best put them to use as a link generating or content generating resource? Their English is fair, but not of high enough quality to use them for any direct content creation. The link went to facebook.com/company-page, but now redirects to facebook.com. I assume that I mistakenly changed something in the Facebook developer area, but I can't remember what it was. I guess I saw some redirect in the tab, but I'm not sure since it's changing too fast to facebook.com.   I was asked to remodel a website, and decided to check its rank on alexa. Surprisingly, there are many, many different websites linking to it, none relevant. One particular thing about it is that none of these urls work, and they all display the exact same error when accessed, which to me is a very good indication that this is some sort of linking scheme. (besides the somewhat obvious names, it even says scheme in one of the urls !?) If so, how should i proceed about this website?   n wordpress, I have the option to choose how the permanent URL looks like. The common format is Year/Month/Day or Year/Month for blogs. However, I’ve occasionally seen some successful blogs take the date out: such as http://mixergy.com/dane-maxwell-zannee-interview/ What’s the impact of the above format on SEO?
