  • Is my Joda Time format pattern incorrect to produce a `T` and `Z` inside the parsed DateTime output?

    - by Tree
Using Joda Time's pattern syntax below, this input string: Sunday, January 09, 2011 6:15:00 PM becomes this datetime: 2011-01-09T06:15:00.000Z Code: String start = "Sunday, January 09, 2011 6:15:00 PM"; DateTimeFormatter parser1 = DateTimeFormat.forPattern("EEEE, MMMM dd, yyyy H:mm:ss aa"); DateTime startTime = parser1.parseDateTime(start); Is this format pattern incorrect? If not, what are the T and Z doing inside the DateTime output? 2011-01-09T06:15:00.000Z

  • How Do I grep For non-ASCII Characters in UNIX

    - by Peter Conrey
I have several very large XML files and I'm trying to find the lines that contain non-ASCII characters. I've tried the following: grep -e "[\x{00FF}-\x{FFFF}]" file.xml But this returns every line in the file, regardless of whether the line contains a character in the range specified. Do I have the syntax wrong or am I doing something else wrong? I've also tried: egrep "[\x{00FF}-\x{FFFF}]" file.xml (with both single and double quotes surrounding the pattern).

  • PHP 6 not backward compatible

    - by netrox
From what I read, PHP 6 will break a lot of php scripts. I understand the reasons why it may break but why don't they just keep the PHP 5 and simply call PHP 6 as a different language based on PHP syntax? Like for example, why not just call php 6 scripts with an extension, "p6"- why are they trying so hard to make it backward compatible for old scripts when the extension can be used to call a specific interpreter?

  • remote class alias in air

    - by viv
Hi in Flex one can easily define the remote class alias like the following: package samples.portfolio { [RemoteClass(alias="flex.samples.marketdata.Stock")] [Bindable] public class Stock { public var symbol:String; public var name:String; public var low:Number; } } But my question is how do you do it in AIR since the client app does not know about the server file structure. • Where clause in nhibernate map

    - by Phil Whittaker
I have an Nhibernate hbm that maps a many to many relationship. For database simplicity it uses a where clause on the bag to filter the joining table. this works well until I start to test and I use the hbm file to create a database from the generated schema. The root and user tags columns aren't created. In the hbm file how do I define these two columns so they are generated in the schema?

    - by Vadi
What are all the algorithms involved in Farmville game, specifically I am interested in drawing trees that has fruits based on user's activities. I am into a project which has a specific need to draw a tree-type image in SVG. I am not sure how to go about the algorithms to define the tree and based on certain business rules the leafs in the tree grows etc., I think you get the idea. Farmville is just an example I took to explain. Any help is greatly appreciated..

  • named/bind zone file parser in C#

    - by Michal Rogozinski
Hi, I'm looking for a bind/named zone file parser in .NET C#. If there is anything I could import/convert I would be interested too. Unfortunately there's not much, or I'm having troubles finding it. My goal is to make sure a zone file is syntax-errors-free before I push it to the server. I'd appreciate any help or hints. Thanks

  • Custom warning in Xcode

    - by maximumnamelength
I'm working on an API library and I'd like to add a few warnings that would appear when another developers builds the app if an optional apikey is not included. It should be buildable w/o the key (since it's optional) so I can't just add a syntax error to force a build error. I know Xcode supports TODO and FIXME but those aren't really highlighted anywhere major. Any other thoughts on how to approach this?

  • Storing a NTFS Security Descriptor in C

    - by Doori Bar
    My goal is to store a NTFS Security Descriptor in its identical native state. The purpose is to restore it on-demand. I managed to write the code for that purpose, I was wondering if anybody mind to validate a sample of it? (The for loop represents the way I store the native descriptor) This sample only contains the flag for "OWNER", but my intention is to apply the same method for all of the security descriptor flags. I'm just a beginner, would appreciate the heads up. Thanks, Doori Bar #define _WIN32_WINNT 0x0501 #define WINVER 0x0501 #include <stdio.h> #include <windows.h> #include "accctrl.h" #include "aclapi.h" #include "sddl.h" int main (void) { DWORD lasterror; PSECURITY_DESCRIPTOR PSecurityD1, PSecurityD2; HANDLE hFile; PSID owner; LPTSTR ownerstr; BOOL ownerdefault; int ret = 0; unsigned int i; hFile = CreateFile("c:\\boot.ini", GENERIC_READ | ACCESS_SYSTEM_SECURITY, FILE_SHARE_READ, NULL, OPEN_EXISTING, FILE_FLAG_BACKUP_SEMANTICS, NULL); if (hFile == INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE) { fprintf(stderr,"CreateFile() failed. Error: INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE\n"); return 1; } lasterror = GetSecurityInfo(hFile, SE_FILE_OBJECT, OWNER_SECURITY_INFORMATION , &owner, NULL, NULL, NULL, &PSecurityD1); if (lasterror != ERROR_SUCCESS) { fprintf(stderr,"GetSecurityInfo() failed. Error: %lu;\n", lasterror); ret = 1; goto ret1; } ConvertSidToStringSid(owner,&ownerstr); printf("ownerstr of PSecurityD1: %s\n", ownerstr); /* The for loop represents the way I store the native descriptor */ PSecurityD2 = malloc( GetSecurityDescriptorLength(PSecurityD1) * sizeof(unsigned char) ); for (i=0; i < GetSecurityDescriptorLength(PSecurityD1); i++) ((unsigned char *) PSecurityD2)[i] = ((unsigned char *) PSecurityD1)[i]; if (IsValidSecurityDescriptor(PSecurityD2) == 0) { fprintf(stderr,"IsValidSecurityDescriptor(PSecurityD2) failed.\n"); ret = 2; goto ret2; } if (GetSecurityDescriptorOwner(PSecurityD2,&owner,&ownerdefault) == 0) { fprintf(stderr,"GetSecurityDescriptorOwner() failed."); ret = 2; goto ret2; } ConvertSidToStringSid(owner,&ownerstr); printf("ownerstr of PSecurityD2: %s\n", ownerstr); ret2: free(owner); free(ownerstr); free(PSecurityD1); free(PSecurityD2); ret1: CloseHandle(hFile); return ret; }

To cut a long story short: How can i define that Zend falls back to default module in this situation? Many thanks in advance.

  • Seeking jQuery-based transition library

    - by justSteve
I'm looking for a library (or plugin) that help me create a slideshow where (besides the simple ordering of images) I'm able to define the beginning and ending positions (either X/Y, or Zooms) for a given image and the plugin animates the intervening steps between them. Flash has a number of tools/libs like this, i'm sure jQuery has seen similar. Ideally something that offers a range of easing effects as well. I understand these elements are native to jQuery...i'm looking for a time-tested wrapper. thx

  • go programming POST FormValue can't be printed

    - by poor_programmer
Before I being a bit of background, I am very new to go programming language. I am running go on Win 7, latest go package installer for windows. I'm not good at coding but I do like some challenge of learning a new language. I wanted to start learn Erlang but found go very interesting based on the GO I/O videos in youtube. I'm having problem with capturing POST form values in GO. I spend three hours yesterday to get go to print a POST form value in the browser and failed miserably. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, can anyone point me to the right direction? I can easily do this in another language like C#, PHP, VB, ASP, Rails etc. I have search the entire interweb and haven't found a working sample. Below is my sample code. Here is Index.html page {{ define "title" }}Homepage{{ end }} {{ define "content" }} <h1>My Homepage</h1> <p>Hello, and welcome to my homepage!</p> <form method="POST" action="/"> <p> Enter your name : <input type="text" name="username"> </P> <p> <button>Go</button> </form> <br /><br /> {{ end }} Here is the base page <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <title>{{ template "title" . }}</title> </head> <body> <section id="contents"> {{ template "content" . }} </section> <footer id="footer"> My homepage 2012 copy </footer> </body> </html> now some go code package main import ( "fmt" "http" "strings" "html/template" ) var index = template.Must(template.ParseFiles( "templates/_base.html", "templates/index.html", )) func GeneralHandler(w http.ResponseWriter, r *http.Request) { index.Execute(w, nil) if r.Method == "POST" { a := r.FormValue("username") fmt.Fprintf(w, "hi %s!",a); //<-- this variable does not rendered in the browser!!! } } func helloHandler(w http.ResponseWriter, r *http.Request) { remPartOfURL := r.URL.Path[len("/hello/"):] fmt.Fprintf(w, "Hello %s!", remPartOfURL) } func main() { http.HandleFunc("/", GeneralHandler) http.HandleFunc("/hello/", helloHandler) http.ListenAndServe("localhost:81", nil) } Thanks! PS: Very tedious to add four space before every line of code in stackoverflow especially when you are copy pasting. Didn't find it very user friendly or is there an easier way?

  • GCC Preprocessor for inline method name

    - by Maz
Hi I'm working on a project where I have code like the following: #define NAME() Array inline NAME()* NAME()_init (void* arg0){return (NAME()*)Object_init(arg0);} But I get the following result: inline Array* Array _init (void* arg0){return (Array*)Object_init(arg0);} With a space between the "Array" and the "_init" Because this is a function name, I obviously do not want the space. Does anyone know how to get the space out? Thanks.

  • Dealing with &rest-parameters in common lisp

    - by Patrick
I want define a functions that accepts &rest - parameters and delegates them to another function. (html "blah" "foo" baz) = "blahfoobaz" I did not find a better way than this one: (defun html (&rest values) (concatenate 'string "" (reduce #'(lambda(a b) (concatenate 'string a b)) values :initial-value "") "")) But this looks somewhat glumbsy to me, since line 4 does no more than concatenating the &rest parameter "values". I tried (concatenate 'string "" (values-list values) "") but this does not seem to work (SBCL). Could someone give me an advice? Kind regards
