  • Javascript objects: get parent

    - by Dänu
Hey Guys I got some question about nested javascript objects (is it me, google or is javascript quite poorly documented?). Now, I got the following (nested) object: obj: { subObj: { 'hello world' } }; next thing I do is to reference the subobject like this: var s = obj.subObj; now what I would like to do, is to get a reference to the object obj out of the variable s. Something like: var o = s.parent; Is this somehow possible?

  • loading wrong jvm.dll

    - by Brittany
When I run an executable I created, it uses the jvm.dll from C:\Windows\System32. But I want it to use the jvm.dll in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\jre\bin\server. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_17\jre\bin\server is in my PATH environment variable. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Thanks.

  • Error 'duplicate definition' when compiling 2 c files that reference 1 header file

    - by super newbie
I have two C files and one header that are as follows: Header file header.h: char c = 0; file1.c: #include "header.h" file2.c: #include "header.h" I was warned about 'duplicate definition' when compiling. I understand the cause as the variable c is defined twice in both file1.c and file2.c; however, I do need to reference the header.h in both c files. How should I overcome this issue?

  • Make emacs autocomplete Ruby methods

    - by Mad Wombat
Is there a way to make emacs pull autocompletions of ruby methods the way Eclipse and NetBeans do? That is if I type File. and press CTRL-space in Eclipse I will get a list of File methods. Same with variables. I have installed autocomplete plugin, ruby-mode, rinari and cedet, but so far it will complete local variable and method names, but will not native ones.

  • XSLT, JSTL e JSF

    - by Paulo S.
I have a xml file which I want to transform in a jsf code page. To do that I've created a xsl file. xml: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1'?> <questionario xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation='Schema2.xsd'> <componente nome='input'> <id>input1</id> </componente> <componente nome='input'> <id>input2</id> </componente> </questionario> code: <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core_rt" prefix="c" %> <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/xml" prefix="x" %> <c:set var="xml" value="${questionarioXSLBean.xml}"/> <c:set var="xsl"> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="2.0" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" exclude-result-prefixes="f h"> <xsl:template match="/"> <xsl:for-each select="questionario/componente"> <xsl:if test="attribute::nome = 'input'"> <xsl:variable name="id"> <xsl:value-of select="id" /> </xsl:variable> <h:inputText id="{$id}"/> </xsl:if> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> </c:set> <x:transform xml="${xml}" xslt="${xsl}" /> The problem is that nothing is shown in my screen because the generated code for <h:inputText id="input1"/> is <h:inputText id="input_1" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"/> how can I replace the xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" or suppress it. Thanks! Update: Let me clarify what I want to do. I want to generate a jsf page dynamically depending on the attributes of a xml file, for instance, 2 input texts, 3 check boxes, etc. To make the transformation to jsf I thought in two approaches, one using jstl and another using xslt. The problem with the former is that I couldn't integrate jstl with jsf code (to set jsf components attributes using jstl variables) and with the last approach, I'm facing the problem described above.I wouldn't like to create components in java (UIComponents). Any suggestions?

  • Can I make ruby send network traffic over a specific iface?

    - by rjorgenson
I am writing a script that grabs the external IP address along with some other information about each iface. I can't figure out how to make ruby send traffic over a specific iface(eth0 and wlan0 for example). I am currently using the open-uri library to open http://whatismyip.org and read it into a variable. def get_external_ip begin open("http://whatismyip.org") { |f| return f.read } rescue return "none" end end Is there any way to specify this at runtime of the script or from within the script itself(ideally)?

  • Extending the SketchFlow player

    - by Aravind
I would like to add some controls to the SketchFlow player. For example, I would like to add a combo box with a list of values for a specific variable, and selecting a value will make a specific screen/state show up in the SketchFlow player canvas. Is this possible? I have seen that using the PlayerContext allows access to some controls/events in the Player, but I am not sure how extensible the Player itself is.

  • How to run SQL that contains bind variables in the ODT Query Window?

    - by dnorthut
How do you run SQL that contains one or more bind variables in the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio Query Window? For example, the following works fine in SQL*Plus: variable x NUMBER; BEGIN :x := 0; END; / SELECT 1 FROM DUAL WHERE :x <> 1; When executed in the ODT Query Window, the following exception is raised in the Query output pane: ERROR ORA-01008: not all variables bound

  • A "Trig" Calculating Class

    - by Clinton Scott
I have been trying to create a gui that calculates trigonometric functions based off of the user's input. I have had success in the GUI part, but my class that I wrote to hold information using inheritance seems to be messed up, because when I run it gives an error saying: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.RuntimeException: Uncompilable source code - constructor ArcTrigCalcCon in class TrigCalc.ArcTrigCalcCon cannot be applied to given types; required: double, double, double, double, double, double found: java.lang.Double,java.lang.Double,java.lang.Double reason: actual and formal argument lists differ in length at TrigCalc.TrigCalcGUI.(TrigCalcGUI.java:31) at TrigCalc.TrigCalcGUI.main(TrigCalcGUI.java:87) Java Result: 1 and says it is the object causing the problem. Below Will be my code. First I will put up my inheritance class with cosecant secant and cotangent and then my original class with the original 3 trig functions: { public ArcTrigCalcCon(double s, double cs, double t, double csc, double sc, double ct) { // Inherit from the Trig Calc class super(s, cs, t); cosecant = 1/s; secant = 1/cs; cotangent = 1/t; } public void setCsc(double csc) { cosecant = csc; } public void setSec(double sc) { secant = sc; } public void setCot(double ct) { cotangent = ct; } } Here is the first Trigonometric class: public class TrigCalcCon { public double sine; public double cosine; public double tangent; public TrigCalcCon(double s, double cs, double t) { sine = s; cosine = cs; tangent = t; } public void setSin(double s) { sine = s; } public void setCos(double cs) { cosine = cs; } public void setTan(double t) { tangent = t; } public void set(double s, double cs, double t) { sine = s; cosine = cs; tangent = t; } public double getSin() { return Math.sin(sine); } public double getCos() { return Math.cos(cosine); } public double getTan() { return Math.tan(tangent); } } and here is the demo class to run the gui: public class TrigCalcGUI extends JFrame implements ActionListener { // Instance Variables private String input; private Double s, cs, t, csc, sc, ct; private JPanel mainPanel, sinPanel, cosPanel, tanPanel, cscPanel, secPanel, cotPanel, buttonPanel, inputPanel, displayPanel; // Panel Display private JLabel sinLabel, cosLabel, tanLabel, secLabel, cscLabel, cotLabel, inputLabel; • Last time the contact was modified

    - by Bostjan
Hey, is there a way to find out the last time a contact was modified? I can't seem to find a variable for it. The reason I'm asking is because I'd like to do a sync of the contacts to my web server and I don't feel like checking for each contact with a HTTP request if it needs updating. So I was thinking to check the date of the last update to the date of the last sync.

  • which is the most accurate way to check variables type javascript

    - by mck89
Hi, i need to check the type of a variable in javascript, i know 3 ways to do it: instanceof operator: if(a instanceof Function) typeof operator: if(typeof a=="function" toString method (jQuery uses this): Object.prototype.toString.call(a) == "[object Function]" Which is the most accurate way to do type checking beetween these solutions? and why? Please don't tell me that the last solution is better only because jQuery uses that.

  • Specify debug/release build in qt

    - by Royi Freifeld
    I would like Qt Creator to build the project according to the type I specify in the little computer button. Using: CONFIG(debug, debug|release) { DESTDIR = Debug OBJECTS_DIR = Debug/.obj MOC_DIR = Debug/.moc RCC_DIR = Debug/.rcc UI_DIR = Debug/.ui } CONFIG(release, debug|release) { DESTDIR = Release OBJECTS_DIR = Release/.obj MOC_DIR = Release/.moc RCC_DIR = Release/.rcc UI_DIR = Release/.ui } Or, using the answer from here, makes qmake chose the last time a variable was defined. How do I set it? Thnx P.S I don't know if it has something to do with my problem, but I'm using Ubuntu and not Windows

  • How to read a file byte by byte in Python?

    - by zaplec
Hi, I'm trying to read a file byte by byte, but I'm not sure how to do that. I'm trying to do it like that: file = open(filename, 'rb') while 1: byte = file.read(8) # Do something... So does that make the variable byte to contain 8 next bits at the beginning of every loop? It doesn't matter what those bytes really are. The only thing that matters is that I need to read a file in 8-bit stacks.

  • How to get absolute paths after vpath matching in make?

    - by Honza
I have a makefile that depending on some properties sets vpath and generates a list of source files into one variable. I need to run the makefile without compiling anything (the compilation is actually handled by a different makefile) and just see to which real files the filenames get matched depending on the vpath settings.

  • auto submit form from command line

    - by combatwombat
I have a form page in PHP that reads a DBF, and conditionally converts it into a MySQL - extracting the data from an old, but still production accounting app. The conversion should be able to be actioned without user intervention, ie scripted from the web-host's command line on a cron job. How can I get PHP to submit the form automatically when receiving variables at command line, like for instance a specific post variable? Every auto-submit I've found so far relied upon javascript, which would be useless at PHP command line.
