  • How to use the Response from PHP in Objective-C?

    - by iMohammad
I've managed to post and get datas from PHP thru objective-c. However, the response from the server looks like the following: ["ARC101","ARC112","ARC124","ARC203","ARC222","ARC251","ARC281","ARC305","ARC314","ARC344","ARC353","ARC363","ARC408","ARC416","ARC426","ARC482"] And, some responses could be more complicated like the following: [{"Code":"ARC101","Title":"Design Studio-I: Design Princi","Instructor":"Mike Cohen","Activity":"LAB","Days":"MW","Room":"B01","Bldg":"19","Section":"1","StartTime":"1310","EndTime":"1550","CallNo":"20438","Priority":null,"Open":"Open","HasAct":false,"CodeAct":null,"TitleAct":null,"InstructorAct":null] What would be your suggestion if I want to play with these datas? for example, putting them on a table ,etc. Thanks in Advance!

  • Collections not read from hibernate/ehcache second-level-cache

    - by Mark van Venrooij
    I'm trying to cache lazy loaded collections with ehcache/hibernate in a Spring project. When I execute a session.get(Parent.class, 123) and browse through the children multiple times a query is executed every time to fetch the children. The parent is only queried the first time and then resolved from the cache. Probably I'm missing something, but I can't find the solution. Please see the relevant code below. I'm using Spring (3.2.4.RELEASE) Hibernate(4.2.1.Final) and ehcache(2.6.6) The parent class: @Entity @Table(name = "PARENT") @Cacheable @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_WRITE, include = "all") public class ServiceSubscriptionGroup implements Serializable { /** The Id. */ @Id @Column(name = "ID") private int id; @OneToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY, mappedBy = "parent") @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_WRITE) private List<Child> children; public List<Child> getChildren() { return children; } public void setChildren(List<Child> children) { this.children = children; } @Override public boolean equals(Object o) { if (this == o) return true; if (o == null || getClass() != o.getClass()) return false; Parent that = (Parent) o; if (id != that.id) return false; return true; } @Override public int hashCode() { return id; } } The child class: @Entity @Table(name = "CHILD") @Cacheable @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_WRITE, include = "all") public class Child { @Id @Column(name = "ID") private int id; @ManyToOne(fetch = FetchType.LAZY, cascade = CascadeType.ALL) @JoinColumn(name = "PARENT_ID") @Cache(usage = CacheConcurrencyStrategy.READ_WRITE) private Parent parent; public int getId() { return id; } public void setId(final int id) { this.id = id; } private Parent getParent(){ return parent; } private void setParent(Parent parent) { this.parent = parent; } @Override public boolean equals(final Object o) { if (this == o) { return true; } if (o == null || getClass() != o.getClass()) { return false; } final Child that = (Child) o; return id == that.id; } @Override public int hashCode() { return id; } } The application context: <bean id="sessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate4.LocalSessionFactoryBean"> <property name="dataSource" ref="dataSource" /> <property name="annotatedClasses"> <list> <value>Parent</value> <value>Child</value> </list> </property> <property name="hibernateProperties"> <props> <prop key="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.SQLServer2008Dialect</prop> <prop key="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">validate</prop> <prop key="hibernate.ejb.naming_strategy">org.hibernate.cfg.ImprovedNamingStrategy</prop> <prop key="hibernate.connection.charSet">UTF-8</prop> <prop key="hibernate.show_sql">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.format_sql">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.use_sql_comments">true</prop> <!-- cache settings ehcache--> <prop key="hibernate.cache.use_second_level_cache">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.cache.use_query_cache">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.cache.region.factory_class"> org.hibernate.cache.ehcache.SingletonEhCacheRegionFactory</prop> <prop key="hibernate.generate_statistics">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.cache.use_structured_entries">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.cache.use_query_cache">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.transaction.factory_class"> org.hibernate.engine.transaction.internal.jta.JtaTransactionFactory</prop> <prop key="hibernate.transaction.jta.platform"> org.hibernate.service.jta.platform.internal.JBossStandAloneJtaPlatform</prop> </props> </property> </bean> The testcase I'm running: @Test public void testGetParentFromCache() { for (int i = 0; i <3 ; i++ ) { getEntity(); } } private void getEntity() { Session sess = sessionFactory.openSession() sess.setCacheMode(CacheMode.NORMAL); Transaction t = sess.beginTransaction(); Parent p = (Parent) s.get(Parent.class, 123); Assert.assertNotNull(p); Assert.assertNotNull(p.getChildren().size()); t.commit(); sess.flush(); sess.clear(); sess.close(); } In the logging I can see that the first time 2 queries are executed getting the parent and getting the children. Furthermore the logging shows that the child entities as well as the collection are stored in the 2nd level cache. However when reading the collection a query is executed to fetch the children on second and third attempt.

  • Need to get Multiple tables from SqlServer at a time

    - by narmadha
    Hi ,I am working with C#.net,I am using cursor concept in my storedprocedure,While executing it in Sqlserver it is showing Multiple tables,but it is not returning multiple Tables in the code,it is returning only the first table,The following is the code which i have used: DataSet ds = new DataSet("table1"); using (SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(connectionstring)) { using (SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter("getworkpersondetails_Orderidwise", connection)) { da.SelectCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; SqlParameter param; param = new SqlParameter("@OrderId", SqlDbType.Int); param.Value = OrderId; da.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add(param); param = new SqlParameter("@CompanyId", SqlDbType.Int); param.Value = CompanyId; da.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add(param); connection.Open(); da.Fill(ds); connection.Close(); return ds; } }

  • Best Ruby ORM for Wrapping around Legacy SQL Server Database?

    - by Technocrat
Hi. I found this answer and it sounds like almost exactly what I'm doing. I have heard mixed answers about whether or not datamapper can support SQL Server through dataobjects. Basically, we have an app that uses a consistently structured database, consistently named tables, etc in SQL Server. We're making all kinds of tools and stuff that have to interact with it, some of them remotely and so I decided that we need to create some common, simple access point to do read/write operations on the SQL Server app since it's API is all C# and other things I despise. Now my question is if anyone has any examples or projects they know of where a ruby ORM can essentially create models for another application's legacy database by defining the conventions of each model's pkeys, fkeys, table names, etc. Sequel is the only ORM I've used with SQL Server but never to do anything quite like this. Any suggestions?

  • Can't get values from Sqlite DB using query

    - by Sana Joseph
I used sqlite to populate a DB with some Tables in it. I made a function at another javascript page that executes the database & selects some values from the table. Javascript: function GetSubjectsFromDB() { tx.executeSql('SELECT * FROM Subjects', [], queryNSuccess, errorCB); } function queryNSuccess(tx, results) { alert("Query Success"); console.log("Returned rows = " + results.rows.length); if (!results.rowsAffected) { console.log('No rows affected!'); return false; } console.log("Last inserted row ID = " + results.insertId); } function errorCB(err) { alert("Error processing SQL: "+err.code); } Is there some problem with this line ? tx.executeSql('SELECT * FROM Subjects', [], queryNSuccess, errorCB); The queryNSuccess isn't called, neither is the errorCB so I don't know what's wrong.

  • Python fCGI + sqlAlchemy = malformed header from script. Bad header=FROM tags : index.py

    - by crgwbr
I'm writing an Fast-CGI application that makes use of sqlAlchemy & MySQL for persistent data storage. I have no problem connecting to the DB and setting up ORM (so that tables get mapped to classes); I can even add data to tables (in memory). But, as soon as I query the DB (and push any changes from memory to storage) I get a 500 Internal Server Error and my error.log records malformed header from script. Bad header=FROM tags : index.py, when tags is the table name. Any idea what could be causing this? Also, I don't think it matters, but its a Linux development server talking to an off-site (across the country) MySQL server.

  • Data sources and NSTableView

    - by lampShade
I know that table sources need a data source to hold the data that the tableview will display. Lets' say that I'm going to make my AppController be the data source of my tableview and that I make the connection in interface builder. My question is since my actual data is going to be stored in an array, let's call it myArray, when I set the data source in code should I do this [tableView setDataSource:myArray]; or this [tableView setDataSource:self]; I'm confused about this. setting the data source with the keyword "self" would set it to the AppController if I'm not mistaken.

  • why does .replace method use forward slash characters to enclose the first argument?

    - by Phillip Dodd
I am working through a book about Javascript and have encountered the following example of code designed to replace the value of the class attribute of a table header HTML element: th.className = th.className.replace(/asc/,"dsc"); th.className = th.className.replace(/dsc/,"asc"); Why is the first parameter of .replace, the current value of th.className, enclosed in forward slashes instead of quotation marks? Why not use quotation marks to enclose both parameters, not just the second one? Thank you in advance for any help given. First time posting, apologies if I duplicated a question despite searching the site before posting.

  • Data Structure for a particular problem??

    - by AGeek
Hi, Which data structure can perform insertion, deletion and searching operation in O(1) time in the worst case. We may assume the set of elements are integers drawn from a finite set 1,2,...,n, and initialization can take O(n) time. I can only think of implementing a hash table. Implementing it with Trees will not give O(1) time complexity for any of the operation. Or is it possible?? Kindly share your views on this, or any other data structure apart from these.. Thanks..

  • JPA DAO integration test not throwing exception when duplicate object saved?

    - by HDave
I am in the process of unit testing a DAO built with Spring/JPA and Hibernate as the provider. Prior to running the test, DBUnit inserted a User record with username "poweruser" -- username is the primary key in the users table. Here is the integration test method: @Test @ExpectedException(EntityExistsException.class) public void save_UserTestDataSaveUserWithPreExistingId_EntityExistsException() { User newUser = new UserImpl("poweruser"); newUser.setEmail("[email protected]"); newUser.setFirstName("New"); newUser.setLastName("User"); newUser.setPassword("secret"); dao.persist(newUser); } I have verified that the record is in the database at the start of this method. Not sure if this is relevant, but if I do a dao.flush() at the end of this method I get the following exception: javax.persistence.PersistenceException: org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException: Could not execute JDBC batch update

  • Is there any way to modify a column before it is ordered in MySQL?

    - by George Edison
I have a table with a field value which is a varchar(255). The contents of the field can be quite varied: $1.20 $2994 $56 + tax (This one can be ignored or truncated to $56 if necessary) I have a query constructed: SELECT value FROM unnamed_table ORDER BY value However, this of course uses ASCII string comparison to order the results and does not use any numerical type of comparison. Is there a way to truly order by value without changing the field type to DECIMAL or something else? In other words, can the value field be modified ('$' removed, value converted to decimal) on the fly before the results are sorted?

  • T-SQL MERGE - finding out which action it took

    - by IanC
I need to know if a MERGE statement performed an INSERT. In my scenario, the insert is either 0 or 1 rows. Test code: DECLARE @t table (C1 int, C2 int) DECLARE @C1 INT, @C2 INT set @c1 = 1 set @c2 = 1 MERGE @t as tgt USING (SELECT @C1, @C2) AS src (C1, C2) ON (tgt.C1 = src.C1) WHEN MATCHED AND tgt.C2 != src.C2 THEN UPDATE SET tgt.C2 = src.C2 WHEN NOT MATCHED BY TARGET THEN INSERT VALUES (src.C1, src. C2) OUTPUT deleted.*, $action, inserted.*; SELECT inserted.* The last line doesn't compile (no scope, unlike a trigger). I can't get access to @action, or the output. Actually, I don't want any output meta data. How can I do this?

  • Indexing SET field

    - by Dienow
I have two entities A and B. They are related with many to many relation. Entity A can be related up to 100 B entities. Entity B can be related up to 10000 A entities. I need quick way to select for example 30 A entities, that have relation with specified B entities, filtered and sorted by different attributes. Here how I see ideal solution: I put all information I know about A entities, including their relations with B entities into single row (Special table with SET field) then add all necessary indexes. The problem is that you can't use index while querying by SET field. What should I do? I can replace database with something different, if that'll help.

  • Finding IterationID in TFS

    - by Kolchak
Hi - we are linking Iterations within TFS to an external system for tracking projects through the entire company. In the past, we were linking using the IterationPath in a TFS Project, but the problem is that people rename these IterationPaths as the projects progress, and the link is lost. So after some research, I'm thinking of doing the linking by using the IterationID. The IterationID in the TFSWarehouse is NOT the same as the IterationID in the WorkItemTracking table, and I can't seem to find an easy way to find the IterationID of an IterationPath? Anyone got any idea how we may be able to achieve this?

  • Sort NSFetchedResultsController results by user location

    - by cgp
I have an application that contains some Locations in Core Data, and I want to show them to the user in order of proximity to the user's location. I am using an NSFetchedResultsController to serve the locations to the Table View. I thought about creating a virtual accessor method that returns the location's distance from the user, that would be calculated using a "global" CoreLocationManager, but it crashes with reason: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'keypath distanceFromCurrentLocation not found in entity < NSSQLEntity Location id=4' I also give the user the option to sort alphabetically, so I would prefer it if I kept the NSFetchedResultsController, if possible. How should I do it? Thanks!

  • Exceptions in ASP.MVC

    - by George
Hello guys, I'm here again with another question about MVC. Here is the deal. I have a simple table/class with an Id and a Name. Names suppossed to be unique, and are modeled like that in the DB. I created my controller and everything just works fine. But if I try to insert a name that already exists, an exception should be thrown. I'm just not finding what is the correct kind of exception and it's namespace. The error must be coming from the DB, so... Any ideas? Thanks

  • .NET | Persist multiple objects in minimum number of queries

    - by VarunGupta
I have a list of objects which needs to be persisted in a SQL Server database table, where each object gets persisted as single record. i.e. List of objects result in insertion of multiple records. Trivial way of saving the objects is to loop over the list and fire a query/stored procedure/etc. for saving that record. But this results in multiple database interactions. Is there a way to persist the list of objects in lesser number of database interactions?

  • How to prune data set by frequency to conform to paper's description

    - by sakura90
The MovieLens data set provides a table with columns: userid | movieid | tag | timestamp I have trouble reproducing the way they pruned the MovieLens data set used in: Tag Informed Collaborative Filtering, by Zhen, Li and Young In 4.1 Data Set of the above paper, it writes "For the tagging information, we only keep those tags which are added on at least 3 distinct movies. As for the users, we only keep those users who used at least 3 distinct tags in their tagging history. For movies, we only keep those movies that are annotated by at least 3 distinct tags." I tried to query the database: select TMP.userid, count(*) as tagnum from (select distinct T.userid as userid, T.tag as tag from tags T) AS TMP group by TMP.userid having tagnum >= 3; I got a list of 1760 users who labeled 3 distinct tags. However, some of the tags are not added on at least 3 distinct movies. Any help is appreciated.

  • Determine if PowerShell function is running as part of a pipeline?

    - by Richard Cook
Can a PowerShell function determine if it is being run as part of a pipeline? I have a function which populates an array with instances of FileInfo which I would like to "yield" to the pipeline if the function is being run this way or produce some pretty output if the function is being invoked by itself from the command line. function Do-Something { $file_infos = @() # Populate $file_infos with FileInfo instances... if (INVOKED_IN_PIPELINE) { return $file_infos } else { foreach ($file_info in $file_infos) { write-host -foregroundcolor yellow $file_info.fullname } } } Basically, I'm trying to figure out how to implement INVOKED_IN_PIPELINE. If it is run in a pipeline (e.g. Do-Something | format-table fullname), I would simply yield the array, but if run directly (e.g. Do-Something), it would simply pretty-print the output. Is there a way to do this? If there is a more "idiomatic" way to achieve this kind of thing, I would also be interested to know.

  • Using a Time Zone Conversion When Dynamically Generating Results

    - by John
    Hello, If I understand correctly, the code below converts $row["datesubmitted"] from one timezone to another. I would like to print the converted $row["datesubmitted"] dynamically in an HTML table. Is there a way that I can apply the conversion below for each row that is pulled from MySQL? I assume that I can't just plug $row["dt"] into the code since there is no field called "dt" in the MySQL that I am using. Thanks in advance, John $dt = new DateTime($row["datesubmitted"], $tzFrom); $dt->setTimezone($tzTo);

  • Django User "per project" group assignation

    - by Ben G
Hi, Here's my problem : my site has users, which can create projects, and access other user's projects. Each project can assign different rights to users. So, i could have Project A : user "John" is in group "manager" , and Project "B" user "John" is in group "worker". How could I use the Django User authentication model to do that ? From a SQL point a view, what i would like is to be able to add "project_id" in the primary key for the "auth_user_groups" table. I don't think profile is of any help here. Any advice ? UPDATE : "worker" and "manager" are just two examples of the permission group (or "roles") that my application defines. There will be more in the future. Eg : i will probably also have "admin", "reporting", etc...

  • Query to retrieve records by aplhabetic order, except for n predefined items which must be on top

    - by Ashraf Bashir
I need to retrieve all records ordered alphabetically. Except for a predefined list of record's columns which their records should appear first in a given predefined order, then all other records should be sorted alphabetically based on the same column For instance, assume we have the following table which is called Names Lets assume the predefined list is ("Mathew", "Ashraf", "Jack"). I.e. these are the names of whom their records should be listed first as in the predefined order. So the desired query result should be: Which query could retrieve this custom order ? P.S, I'm using MySQL. Here's my trial based on comments' request: (SELECT * FROM Names WHERE Name in ('Mathew', 'Ashraf', 'Jack')) UNION (SELECT * FROM Names WHERE Name NOT IN ('Mathew', 'Ashraf', 'Jack') ORDER BY Name ASC); the first query result wasn't ordered as required.

  • Group MySQL Data into Arbitrarily Sized Time Buckets

    - by Eric J.
How do I count the number of records in a MySQL table based on a timestamp column per unit of time where the unit of time is arbitrary? Specifically, I want to count how many record's timestamps fell into 15 minute buckets during a given interval. I understand how to do this in buckets of 1 second, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day etc. using MySQL date functions, e.g. SELECT YEAR(datefield) Y, MONTH(datefield) M, DAY(datefield) D, COUNT(*) Cnt FROM mytable GROUP BY YEAR(datefield), MONTH(datefield), DAY(datefield) but how can I group by 15 minute buckets?
