  I am working on a site and it works/looks great in Safari, Firefox, Chrome and IE8. For some reason when testing it in IE 6 and 7 the jQuery does not work (the images are there but static) I get the following error message: Internet Explorer Script Error.   I am trying to split up a string by caps using Javascript, Examples of what Im trying to do: "HiMyNameIsBob" -> "Hi My Name Is Bob" "GreetingsFriends" -> "Greetings Friends" I am aware of the str.split() function, however I am not sure how to make this function work with capital letters. I've tried: str.split("(?=\\p{Upper})") Unfortunately that doesn't work, any help would be great.

• Looking for jquery/javascript image rotator controlled by XML file

  I'm trying to find something like this: http://coffeescripter.com/code/ad-gallery/ that is controlled by an xml file that can simply contain the image location, thumbnail location and the text for title/description. Has to be pure jquery or javascript though - no flash based stuff. I've found loads of great components but can't find one that is controlled by XML. Anyone happen to have seen one around anywhere please?

• How to append to an array that contains blank spaces - Java

  I'm trying to append to a char[] array that contains blank spaces on the end. The char array for example contains the characters 'aaa'. When I append the first time the method functions properly and outputs 'aaabbb'. The initial capacity of the array is set to 80 or multiples of 80. The second time I try and append my output looks like"aaabbb bbb". Any psuedocode would be great.

  I have an ancient code snippet I use for copying tables in MySQL. CREATE TABLE new_table (select * from old_table); This works great, with one exception. It doesn't copy the primary key or other table indexes. Is there any way to copy a table in MySQL AND include the indexes/primary key??

• Always-indexed MySQL indexing/searching replacements for InnoDB?

  I am using InnoDB for a MySQL table, and obviously queries using LIKE and RLIKE/REGEXP can take a lot of time. I've tried Spinx, and it works great, except I have to re-index context at intervals. I can re-index every minute, but I am wondering if there is either 1) a setting in Sphinx to keep records always indexed or 2) other software besides Sphinx that will keep records always indexed. I want it where that immediately upon inserting or updating a record, the index is updated.

  I am trying to convert this native sql into an HQL query. Basically it returns all the contacts that are duplicates (by company, firstname, and lastname). The query below works great, but performing a joined subselect seems impossible in HQL is it not?! Then you remember http://super.duper.domain.example Oh. So then you think, okay, find the last period, go back a word and get everything before!   Guys, in one of the excersises in TC++PL B.S. asks to: "Write a function that either returns a value or that throws that value based on an argument. Measure the difference in run-time between the two ways." Great pity he never explaines how to measure such things. • MySQL on two ports using IPTables - self-access

  I trying to make MySQL available by 2 ports: 3306 and 3339 I added rule to iptables: iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i bond0 -p tcp --dport 3339 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3306 and everythin is great for remote connections. But if I'm trying to connect it locally, I'm getting an error: mysql -u username -ppassword --port=3339 -h Host.Name ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'Host.Name' (111) Any ideas how can I edit iptables to get local access via 3339 port?

• How do I sync iPad Notes without Mail?

  The default Notes app on the iPad is fine for my note taking needs. I see how it syncs through iTunes to Mail, but if one doesn't use Mail for e-mail management, is there any other way to sync and view the iPad notes on the desktop? (We use Eudora for mail management, and Apple's Mail is not great if all you want to do is view your notes with it.)
