Hi,
Would like to write a script to detect the file size of the target of a link on a web page.
Right now I have a function that finds all links to PDF files (i.e. the href ends with '.pdf') and appends the string '[pdf]' to the innerText. I would like to extend it so that I can also append some text advising the user that the target is a large file (e.g. greater than 1MB).
Thanks
For a college project i'm thinking of implementing the business layer in Erlang and then accessing it via multiple front-ends using REST. I would like to avail of OTP features like distributed applications, etc.
My question is how do I expose gen_server calls/casts to other applications? Obviously I could make RPC calls via language specific "bridges" like OTP.net or JInterface, but I want a consistent way to access it like REST.
I know I can download the "April CTP" to get F# 2.0 for .NET 2.0. But I need FSC and F# Interactive for .NET 4.0. On a machine with VS 2010 installed, it ends up in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft F#\v4.0. Is there a redistributable for this?
I want to make a program to wake me up, but if I leave it and go to sleep the pc ends up sleeping.
How can I force it to never sleep if this application is running?
I'm on Windows 7 x64.
First, I can assume that all urls that end with jpeg, jpg, bmp, png or gif are images, and others aren't.
I thought of, and tried two solutions:
Matching the regular expression .(jpe?g|bmp|png|gif)$
Using ends-with to check each separately
But, it appears that neither of these exist in XPath 1.0, or at least, they don't exist in Firefox (I am writing a greasemonkey script, so it is only important for the path to work in Firefox).
In my website everybody can send some links to other nice websites.
All links in my database must by unique, but some links are with 'www.' prefix, and some without.
Some ends for '/', some not.
For example:
|http://www.domain.com
|http://domain.com
|http://domain.com
|http://domain.com/
and other problems can be with https or http.
I know that I should change address before saving to database, but what standard I should use?
Does anyone know of any node.js style webserver framework for java?
I realized that having nonblocking callback behavior while handling a web request will require deep support at the webserver level. I am interested in node.js, but when I have a web server that ends up persisting data, I would like to take advantage of the static type system that Java offers. However, I want the scalability of non-blocking io.
I'm writing an assembly language program using lc3 and when I run trap x23 (IN) the message "input a character" comes up. I want it to come up saying
Please enter an integer between 1 and 15:
but it ends up like this:
Please enter an integer between 1 and 15:
input a character:
Help please
Anyone have a clue how I can use Jquery to find:
http:// or www. and ends with .com, .org, .edu
store that as a variable and wrap it in
<a href="variable"> <a/>
So I have a textarea and when people put in links, I would like to then make them into hyperlinks once they are posted.
Make sense?
Hi,
I'm working with a jni application that loads a dll library, but the load of it is taking too long. The dll is in the path. As a relevant informat, this dll depends on other oracle dlls that are also in the path.
System.loadLibrary("exmaple.dll");
Do you have any idea why the load never ends?
Today I had something weird happen in my copy of Resharper 5. I have a class that looks like this:
public class Foo
{
public string Username { get; private set; }
public Foo (string userName) { Username = userName; }
public void Bar()
{
DoWork(Username);
}
public DoWork(string userName) { }
}
When I start to type DoWork(us I get the following from intellisense:
Notice that it's pulling up the constructor argument, and it ends with a colon: userName:
What's going on here?
Hello all,
I am creating a button dynamically in my code and attaching a click event to it. However I have to prevent people to click it while there is a process going on. So when it is clicked once, it should be disabled and when the process ends it should be enabled. How can I do that?
Thanks.
Is it possible to add a trailing slash to the default context of an application?
Example:
http://www.uri.com/foo -> http://www.uri.com/foo/
I added the following redirect to the server properties:
redirect_1: from=/foo url-prefix=/foo/
and this ends up in a loop...
Several other configurations also didn't work :-/
I'm using glassfish v2.1-b60e.
An odd question:
Just wondering if it is possible by some loophole to define a method name that ends in a colon. The purpose being things like this:
mymethod: arg1,arg2,arg3
I have a bunch of MACROS in c++ code that expand into some functions. And I am debugging something. Just want to see what the code ends up looking like”
Any ideas?
So I have a class A, where I want to call some class B functions. So I include "b.h". But, in class B, I want to call a class A function. If I include "a.h", it ends up in an infinite loop, right? What can I do about it?
Hi All,
Every time I paste code from an Adobe reader eBook into Visual Studio it ends up looking like the image below. The only way I know to fix it is to go on each and every line and manually tab/backspace it all back in order. Source formatting does nothing (EditAdvancedFormat Document)
Anyone know how to fix the indention in this scenario?
Thanks
I guess I cant post images yet.. image below

Hi Everyone:
I am wondering if there is some way to align text on the right of a photo, and keep the text in that same "box" even after the image ends using HTML and CSS. A quick "diagram" of what I am attempting to accomplish is below:
------- --------
------- --------
-Image- - Text -

Thanks for any help!
Using hibernate with annotations, i want a one-many relationship to be sorted by the 'created' field on the 'many' table.
So far i've got this, which always ends up in a random order:
// The notes
@OneToMany
@JoinColumn(name="task_id")
Set<TaskNote> notes;
public Set<TaskNote> getNotes() {return notes;}
public void setNotes(Set<TaskNote> notes) {this.notes = notes;}
Hello,
the XML i would like to transform contains something like 7.3248378E7, which is not supported natively by the XSL-FO processor (ends up in NaN in the PDF file). Is there a nice way (which is the opposite of a dirty hack) to convert this number format?
Thanks a lot.
If one has a number of databases (due to separate application front-ends) that provide a complete picture - for example a CRM, accounting, and product database - what methods are available to centralize/abstract this data for easy reporting?
Essentially, I'm wondering if there is a way to automatically pull data from multiple databases into a central repository that is continuously updated from the three databases and which can be used for reporting?
I'm also open to alternative best practice suggestions?
Hi All
Just looking for something ultra simple. I need to spawn a method off to a new thread.
I don't care when or how it ends.
Can somebody please help me with this?
Thank you
I have a CGI based form that I am working with and I would like to be able to include some PHP code in the generated results. However, when I do this, the PHP does not appear to get processed and just ends up being displayed in the resulting web page.
Is what I am doing actually possible or am I missing something?
Thanks.
