  • Using the apostrophe for PHP associative array element's name

    - by Haskella
    Hi I've been trying to figure out how to put something like Joe's Fruits into a PHP array something like this: <?php $arr = array( 'Fruitland' => '3ddlskdf3', 'Joe's Fruits' => 'dddfdfer3', ); ?> Using the above for example (stackoverflow's code color should tell you this by now), the array will take it as 'Joe' between the two apostrophes instead of the whole 'Joe's Fruits' is there any way I can do this without just calling it 'Joes Fruits'?

  • XAML ToolTip + IsHitTestVisible="False"

    - by Sean
    We need to have mouse clicks and drags "ignored" by our View1 but the ToolTip must still function in that view. The reason is View1 is above View2 in Z-Order, so View1 can tint View2 a red color and show a warning via ToolTip; however the ToolTip accompanying View1 will not work if IsHitTestVisible="False". Anyone know a work around so the ToolTip will display on mouse move/over and the rest of mouse events are ignored by View1 and go to View2? Thanks, Sean

  • ListView item won't extend width to fill_parent

    - by slybloty
    I have a custom ViewGroup that inflates a ListView from an xml layout. The list item layout is inflated from another xml file. All of the views are set to fill_parent. The ListView fills its parent, but the ListView items don't. I've tried putting the ListView in a LinearLayout and assigning weight to it. Tried RelativeLayout as well. Also, I've built the ListView programmaticaly, without using the xml layout. Even changed the LayoutParams before adding the view to the ViewGroup. I've also taken in consideration these posts as well: Width of clickable area in ListView w/ onListItemClick, In Android, how can I set a ListView item's height and width?, Android Listview width prob. Any ideas to why the items don't extend to fill width? And how to extend them? MyViewGroup class: public class MyViewGroup extends ViewGroup { public MyViewGroup(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); generateMyViewGroup(); } private void generateMyViewGroup() { ListView main = (ListView) View.inflate(getContext(), R.layout.layout_main, null); main.setAdapter(new MyAdapter(getContext())); this.addView(main); } @Override protected void onLayout(boolean changed, int l, int t, int r, int b) { this.getChildAt(0).layout(l, t, r, b); } } ListView xml layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ListView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@android:id/list" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginRight="3dp" android:background="#77000000" android:cacheColorHint="#00000000" android:divider="#00000000" android:dividerHeight="0dp" android:drawSelectorOnTop="false" android:scrollbars="vertical" > </ListView> ListView item layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/layout_main_category" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:background="@color/mainBackground" android:gravity="fill_horizontal|center_vertical" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:id="@+id/main_category" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="8dp" android:layout_marginRight="8dp" android:paddingBottom="7dp" android:paddingLeft="20dp" android:paddingRight="5dp" android:paddingTop="20dp" android:text="test" android:textColor="@color/mainCategory" android:textSize="15sp" android:textStyle="bold" /> </LinearLayout>

  • Loading PNG textures to OpenGL

    - by Tamir
    Hello, I'm working on a game, and all of my graphics use magenta as transparent/magic color. They are all 32-bit and the magenta is just for conveniency. Anyway, I would appreciate if someone could advice me what library should I use to load my images (I need to load them in GL_RGBA format, both internal and texture specific).

  • Language/tech specific books which improve vendor-neutral development skills

    - by dotnetdev
    If I ask what the following books have in common: "Accelerated C# 2010, C# in Depth, Pro C# 2008", the answer would be that they would help me to improve my understanding of C# and secondly, my general coding skills. What language-specific/tech-specific books (like those named above) would teach me a great deal about general programming techniques and good habits? I'm thinking Java books would be very good for me (I code in C# primarily), as both these languages are similar and so I am sure that specialist books on Java threading, performance tuning, etc, can be applied to C# (not all 100% content of a Java book). Thanks

  • Enable real fixed positioning on Samsung Android browsers

    - by Mr. Shiny and New ??
    The Android browser, since 2.2, supports fixed positioning, at least under certain circumstances such as when scaling is turned off. I have a simple HTML file with no JS, but the fixed positioning on three Samsung phones I've tried is simply wrong. Instead of true fixed positioning, the header scrolls out of view then pops back into place after the scrolling is done. This doesn't happen on the Android SDK emulator for any configuration I've tested (2.2, 2.3, 2.3 x86, 4.0.4). It also doesn't happen when using the WebView in an app on the Samsung phones: in those cases the positioning works as expected. Is there a way to make the Samsung Android "stock" browser use real fixed positioning? I've tested: 1. Samsung Galaxy 551, Android 2.2 2. Samsung Galaxy S, Android 2.3 3. Samsung Galaxy S II, Android 2.3 Sample code: <html> <head> <meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=1.0,user-scalable=no,width=device-width,height=device-height"> <style> h1 { position: fixed; top: 0; left: 0; height: 32px; background-color: #CDCDCD; color: black; font-size: 32px; line-height: 32px; padding: 2px; width: 100%; margin: 0;} p { margin-top: 36px; } </style> </head> <body> <h1>Header</h1> <p>Long text goes here</p> </body> </html> The expected behaviour is that the grey header fills the top of the screen and stays put no matter how much you scroll. On Samsung Android browsers it seems to scroll out of view then pop back into place once the scrolling is done, as if the fixed-positioning is being simulated using Javascript, which it isn't. Edit Judging by the comments and "answers" it seems that maybe I wasn't clear on what I need. I am looking for a meta tag or css rule/hack or javascript toggle which turns off Samsung's broken fixed-positioning and turns on the Android browser's working fixed-positioning. I am not looking for a Javascript solution that adds broken fixed-positioning to a browser that has no support whatsoever; the Samsung fixed-positioning does that already, it just looks stupid.

  • What was the name of that interactive jQuery wizard plugin?

    - by poru
    Hello, a few weeks or months ago a (I think jQuery plugin) wizard was released, which allows you to do interactive "tutorials". You were able to create interactive boxes which relates to html elements and you were able to change to color of these boxes to red. It's also possible that it was "just" a javascript script and not a jquery plugin.

  • directshow Renderstream fails with grayscale bitmaps

    - by Roey
    Hi all. I'm trying to create a directshow graph to playback a video composed of 8bit grayscale bitmaps. (using directshow.net.) I'm using a source filter and the vmr9 renderer. The source filter's output pin is defined using the following code : bmi.Size = Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(BitmapInfoHeader)); bmi.Width = width; bmi.Height = height;; bmi.Planes = 1; bmi.BitCount = (short)bitcount; bmi.Compression = 0; bmi.ImageSize = Math.Abs(bmi.Height) * bmi.Width * bmi.BitCount / 8; bmi.ClrUsed = bmi.BitCount <= 8 ? 256 : 0; bmi.ClrImportant = 0; //bmi.XPelsPerMeter = 0; //bmi.YPelsPerMeter = 0; bool isGrayScale = bmi.BitCount <= 8 ? true : false; int formatSize = Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(BitmapInfoHeader)); if (isGrayScale == true) { MessageWriter.Log.WriteTrace("Playback is grayscale."); /// Color table holds an array of 256 RGBQAD values /// Those are relevant only for grayscale bitmaps formatSize += Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(RGBQUAD)) * bmi.ClrUsed; } IntPtr ptr = Marshal.AllocHGlobal(formatSize); Marshal.StructureToPtr(bmi, ptr, false); if (isGrayScale == true) { /// Adjust the pointer to the beginning of the /// ColorTable address and create the grayscale color table IntPtr ptrNext = (IntPtr)((int)ptr + Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(BitmapInfoHeader))); for (int i = 0; i < bmi.ClrUsed; i++) { RGBQUAD rgbCell = new RGBQUAD(); rgbCell.rgbBlue = rgbCell.rgbGreen = rgbCell.rgbRed = (byte)i; rgbCell.rgbReserved = 0; Marshal.StructureToPtr(rgbCell, ptrNext, false); ptrNext = (IntPtr)((int)ptrNext + Marshal.SizeOf(typeof(RGBQUAD))); } } This causes Renderstream to return "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection." Please help! Thanks.

  • Trouble animating RadialGradientBrush in WPF

    - by emddudley
    I'm trying to animate a RadialGradientBrush in my application. I get the super helpful exception: Additional information: 'System.Windows.Style' value cannot be assigned to property 'Style' of object 'System.Windows.Controls.Border'. '[Unknown]' property does not point to a DependencyObject in path '(0).(1).[0].(2)'. Error at object 'System.Windows.Style' in markup file 'Eng.Modules.Core;component/system/grid/systemgridview.xaml' Line 252 Position 51. I know it's something wrong with the indirect property targeting or partial path qualification in my DoubleAnimation's Storyboard.TargetProperty attribute. Any ideas? <Border> <Border.Resources> <RadialGradientBrush x:Key="SomeBrush"> <RadialGradientBrush.GradientStops> <GradientStop Color="White" Offset="0" /> <GradientStop Color="Gold" Offset="1" /> </RadialGradientBrush.GradientStops> </RadialGradientBrush> </Border.Resources> <Border.Style> <Style TargetType="{x:Type Border}"> <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Path=IsEnabled, RelativeSource={RelativeSource Self}}" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource SomeBrush}" /> <DataTrigger.EnterActions> <BeginStoryboard x:Name="SomeStoryBoard"> <Storyboard> <!-- RIGHT HERE --> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetProperty="(Border.Background).(GradientBrush.GradientStops)[0].(GradientStop.Offset)" From="0" To="1" Duration="0:0:1" RepeatBehavior="Forever" AutoReverse="True" /> </Storyboard> </BeginStoryboard> </DataTrigger.EnterActions> <DataTrigger.ExitActions> <RemoveStoryboard BeginStoryboardName="SomeStoryBoard" /> </DataTrigger.ExitActions> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Border.Style> </Border>

  • Using recursion to find paths in a 2D array

    - by rikkit
    Hi, I'm working on a project for my A level. It involves finding the maximum flow of a network, and I'm using javascript. I have a 2D array, with values in the array representing a distance between the two points. An example of the array: 0 2 2 0 0 0 1 2 0 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 I think I need to use a recursive technique to find a path; below is some pseudocode, assuming that the array is 4x4. a is (0,0), b is (3,3). function search(a,b) from a to b if element(i,j) != 0 then store value of element search(j,3) I was wondering if that was the right construction for a depth first search. Thanks for any help.

  • how to visualise/debug an imagemap?

    - by fearofawhackplanet
    I'm dynamically generating an imagemap for a chart tool I have. I was hoping to be able to set a border or color on the area tags so I could check everything was being generated with the right coords, but a little research shows this is not possible. So whats the easiest way to check my image map is correct? Are there any browser tools which will "visualise" the areas?

  • Why my VPN doesn't work anymore?

    - by xx77aBs
    I have openvpn server running on debian lenny. There is only one client - and it is running Windows 7 64-bit. This has worked for few months without any problems. And now, let's say for the last 7 days, it doesn't work at all. I connect successfully from client to the server, but I can't access anything through VPN. I have set it up so that all internet traffic is routed through VPN, and now when I connect with the client, the client can't do anything on the net (open any webpage, ping google, anything ...). Can you help me to figure out what's wrong ? I don't know where to start. I've also tried to connect to another openvpn server (I've installed and configured openvpn on another server, and when I try to connect to it result is the same). • CSS, Centering an absolute <div> withing a 100% width <div>

    - by blackessej
    This shouldn't be hard...I have a menu and some content wrapped in a centered, liquid div. The content is positioned absolute. All I want to do is center #content-container. What am I missing here? #wrapper { max-width:100%; min-width:600px; min-height:100%; margin:0 auto; } #header { -moz-background-clip:border; -moz-background-origin:padding; -moz-background-size:auto auto; background-attachment:scroll; background-color:transparent; background-image:url(images/KMIAFS_banner.jpg); background-position:center top; background-repeat:no-repeat; height:150px; } #menu { margin-top:150px; clear:left; float:left; padding:0; border-top:6px solid #336699; width:100%; overflow:hidden; } #menu ul { float:left; margin:0; padding:0; list-style:none; position:relative; left:50%; text-align:center; } #menu ul li { display:block; float:left; list-style:none; margin:0; padding:0; position:relative; right:50%; } #menu ul li a { display:block; float:left; margin:0 1px 0 0; padding:30px 10px 6px 10px; background:#336699; text-decoration:none; color:#fff; } #menu ul li a:hover { padding:35px 10px 6px 10px; } #menu ul li.active a, #menu ul li.active a:hover { padding:40px 10px 6px 10px; } #content-container { top:225px; position:absolute; margin:0 auto; width:1000px; background-color:#fff; } #content { clear:left; float:left; width:610px; padding:20px 0; margin:0 0 0 30px; display:inline; } #content h2 { margin:0; } #aside { float:right; width:290px; padding:20px 0; margin:0 20px 0 0; display:inline; } #aside h3 { margin:0; } <div id="wrapper"> <div id="header"> <a id="box-link" href="index.html"></a> <div id="menu"> <ul> <li><a href="" title="Link01">Link01/a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link02">Link02</a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link03">Link03</a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link04">Link04</a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link05">Link05</a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link06">Link06</a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link07">Link07</a></li> <li><a href="" title="Link08">Link08</a></li> </ul> </div> <div id="content-container"> <div id="content"> <h2> Page heading </h2> <p> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consect etuer adipi scing elit sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tinunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volut.   • Explain BFS and DFS in terms of backtracking

    - by HH
    Wikipedia about DFS Depth-first search (DFS) is an algorithm for traversing or searching a tree, tree structure, or graph. One starts at the root (selecting some node as the root in the graph case) and explores as far as possible along each branch before backtracking. So is BFS? "an algorithm that choose a starting node, checks all nodes -- backtracks --, chooses the shortest path, chose neighbour nodes -- backtracks --, chose the shortest path -- finally finds the optimal path because of traversing each path due to continuos backtracking. Regex, find's pruning -- backtracking? The term backtracking confuseses due to its variety of use. UNIX find's pruning an SO-user explained with backtracking. Regex Buddy uses the term "catastrophic backtracking" if you do not limit the scope of your Regexes. It seems to be too wide umbrella-term. So: how do you define "Backtracking" GRAPH-theoretically? what is "backtracking" in BFS and DFS?
