    Any commercial or free software to give me a list and descriptions of patch uninstalls and let me remove selected ones? I've tried Windows XP Update Remover, but seems it doesn't provide any information for majority of items and I have to delete one by one... I also know I can do it manually, but just wondering if there is more professional software to make it more accurate and quick.

Do they use a basic protocol like FTP and then check with a Google digital signature? I do not own an Android.     Hi I recently installed Ubuntu. It lets me to use GParted to let me take free space from Windows XP partition. After installing Ubuntu, it nicely presents a boot menu that lets me to boot either UBuntu or XP. Now, my XP sucks and I need to remove/re-install it. Then how can I restore the boot menu of Ubuntu?   • Alternative to VLC player [closed]

    I've been using VLC player but since the latest version (2.0.1) it's rendering all the Hebrew subtitles as question marks. I'm looking for a good free alternative that runs on Windows OS. I prefer a player with a huge dashboard and zillion preferences where all the possible options are customizable. Once ago I used MV2 player and loved that type of player that supports all the possible tweaks etc. etc.

    This is my step by step process on a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a brand new 320 HD: Turn on Laptop Insert Xubuntu 9.1 disc Boot to CD-rom After boot has finished, I install and instance of Xubuntu on the machine After install (without any errors), I reboot the the machine On reboot, the BIOS claims to be unable to read from device What could this be? (Feel free to ask for more information to perform a proper diagnosis)

I have a directive that goes something like this: Options MultiViews FollowSymLinks I have a location directive where I have Options +Includes This causes warning errors in my Apache error log: mod_include: Options +Includes (or IncludesNoExec) wasn't set, INCLUDES filter removed These warnings are gone when I add +Includes to my options but I don't want. I want to have the Includes filter removed but without having warning errors. If there's something unclear, feel free to ask. Thanks

  • Switching to Linux and Keeping Windows With VirtualBox

    Hi guys, I'm currently running a Vista machine, but would like to switch over to Linux, Ubuntu in particular. My question is can I switch over to Ubuntu, keep my Windows partition and use VirtualBox to access the pre-existing Windows partition? Or does VirtualBox require me to create a new install for Guest operating systems? If not, are there any other free alternatives to accomplish this? Thanks

    Can I configure my domain, example.com's name servers as: ns1.dyndns.com ns2.dyndns.com ns1.opendns.com ns2.opendns.com That is, combining free dns services to create a redundant name server array? Note these name servers from different companies are not aware other companies' name servers also serve our domain. In case one company, say, ns1(2).dyndns.com is down, will people experience interruption when visiting my example.com? If one name server is unreachable, the next name server will be tried, or?

    I have downloaded file which is in djvu format. I want to convert it to pdf or some other more common format, so I can read the document from other devices (e.g. my phone etc). I found a conversion utility at Lizardtech, but when I converted the doc using the lizardtech software, every page had a watermark - which rendered the converted doc virtually useless. Does anyone know where I can get a free conversion utility that does not watermark the converted doc?

    My Sony Vaio laptop has a built-in program called "Sony Battery Care" which provides a functionality to hold battery at certain levels of charge while operating. For example, I've set it to 50% and the battery is always kept at that level while on AC power. This mode prevents battery degradation and is more effective as I usually use my laptop with AC power.     I'm running a python script to do some statistics and the actually memory which used is low,about 10%.And no other process cost more memory.However,when i use free -m and it shows that almost 95% memory has been used.The point is that my script should do a lot of read from files,so i wonder if there's any mechanism of Linux memory cache that caused the problem?echo 1 >> /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches works,but it seems manually.How can i reduce the memory cost and doesn't make a bad effect on reading files?
