We are using Crystal Report 12 in one of our projects. Currently I need to create report template which should show different icons based on the some field value.
That field contains a number, storing some kind of status and I have several icons corresponding some statuses.
At the moment I can't figure out how to implement such a thing in Crystal Reports designer.
Could someone please help me?
Hi all
I have a URL such as http://www.domain.com/index.php?p=register. I want to redirect that to use HTTPS (SSL) with .htaccess, but only on this, and a couple of other pages (the login page, etc), but not the entire site. The URLs don't point to directories, but are used to dynamically include different files.
Can someone give me a pointer or an example of how to get a single page redirect to HTTPS please?
Thanks,
James
I don't know how to build Boost with C++0x compilers. Which option must be given to bjam? Should the user.config file be modified?Can someone help me?

I was reading Code Complete 2 and it mentions this:
Many version-control tools wil insert version information into a file. In CVS, for exmple the characters
// $id$
Will Automaticly expand to
// $id: ClassName.java, v 1.1 2004/02/05 00:36:42 ismene Exp $
So now I would like to do something similar with VSS for our SQL scripts
I have been googling around for the answer but can't find it. Is this possible? can someone maybe point me in the right direction?
I was just looking at this code and i don't understand what RETURN TRUE does or what the point of it is? Can someone please explain?

From what I gather, there are two major methods to perform alignment on point clouds, Iterative Closest Point (ICP) and Particle Filtering. What are the advantages of each method? And can someone point me some good tutorials.
For what I am currently doing, I think ICP would be easier, I can't seem to find any simple reference implementations online for 2d point sets. Has anyone seen (psuedo)code for ICP with details on the transformation step?
Thanks in advance.
I'm trying to run through this msdn article:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd723645.aspx
One of the steps is:
In the class file for the page, change the base class from UserControl to EntityTemplateUserControl.
Nowhere is it made clear what page is being referenced. Can someone help me? I don't see any relevant class in the pages I have, so I assumed maybe they were talking about the ascx and didn't really mean page, but I'm not seeing an option there either.
I want my website to do exactly what Stackoverflow does with openId.
I'm combing through sources, and I have done this before with facebook, but
not making much progress with OpenID.
What I would like to do is just detect if someone has logged into Google,
and if they have get some identifying information, and allow them to
federate into my site.
Can anyone suggest any tutorials or Code snippets, and should I use Zends Libraries ?

Hi all,
I am a seasoned .net developer and using VS.net all the time. Now, I would like to learn Ruby on Rails using emacs. Since I'm pretty new to Linux, it would be great if someone show me step by step tutorial to setup emacs for RoR develpment.
Can someone direct me to an example or explanation that will help me either:
Extend the SilverLight AutoComplete Box to allow watermarks.
Extend the Watermark TextBox to allow AutoComplete functionality.
It strikes me that option 1 would be easiest, but I'm open.
Thanks in advance.
I have a image (png file) with opacity 35%, i want for example:
Set the opacity image to a panel BackgroundImage, the panel is over a form with backcolor black, i thought (like in photoshop happen) that the opacity of the image will do a more clear color in the panel area, but the real result is that panel appear entire white, someone know how i can do this efect in windows forms?

I'm creating a website in Ruby on Rails, where users can login using RESTful Authentication. Someone can get a specific user using html, xml and json, just like scaffolding. But I want to add one more format: vCard (e.g. /users/1.vcard). This has a specific format, but how do I define my own formats? Using views, or must I use another way? Thanks
I'm developing an application for iOS in Xcode 4.5 but I have a problem with a UIWebView. I want to set a header(BASE64 code) to skip a login part. When I try this, using the NPWebView project the webview always fails with an error which looks like this:
Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-999 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -999.)" UserInfo=0x6ace650 {NSErrorFailingURLKey="MY URL", NSErrorFailingURLStringKey="MY URL"}
I hope someone can help me!
Hi,
in words, can someone post directions towards finding the 'maximal' independent set in a simple graph?
I read up something from ETH site which said one can find such in O(n) by simply picking a random vertex v and than scanning the rest and attempting to find if there's an edge from v to the rest.
Thanks
If I want to keep an xml file updated with all the images that a user has attched to a page, I shouldn't write create and generate an xml-file everytime someone visits that page (because it would cause too much overhead) - should I create and fill the file when the user attaches new content to the page in the admin console instead?
Hi, I am a C++ / Java programmer and the main paradigm I happen to use in everyday programming is OOP. In some thread I read a comment that Type classes are more intuitive in nature than OOP. Can someone explain the concept of type classes in simple words so that an OOP guy like me can understand it?
I'm fairly new to OOP in PHP, I've made a couple of basic scripts but nothing impressive. All I've really taken from it is that it would probably be easier just make a collection of functions and include them.
The structure of classes seems to just confuse what was otherwise a simple process. And in collating everything into a class it doesn't really add any functionality.
So I'm clearly missing something. Could someone explain what functionality is added by creating classes
i intend to develop an app which would speak to the user the message he desires in the inbox. I know its been asked many times already but no one could come up with solution so far.
The idea is to have one form separated into few steps and validate each step on next click of the button. I know jquery validation plugin is offering quite complicated way of doing it with accordion but can anyone come up with a simple solution something like
var stepOne = {
rules: {
fieldname1: "required",
fieldname2: "required",
}
}
$("form").validate(stepOne); //onclick
hope someone could suggest the best way of doing it.
Thanks.
