  I'm writing a bit of open-source propaganda and I need to explain what source code is to a non-technical audience in ten words or less without them losing interest. I've tried things relating to recipes and the like but I'm not an English major so I'm having a really hard time with this. Any ideas?

• DirectShow Filter Graph Editor doesn't show remote graphs

  I have a problem with connecting to remote graph from DirectShow Filter Graph Editor. When I run application that creates a direct show graph, on my Windows XP machine graph is shown in the list of remote graphs, but on the Windows 7 (x64) machine list of remote graphs is empty. I have registered proppage.dll and also registered directshowspy.dll ... but still no results. Any ideas?

• Why doenst it apply my IE stylesheet?

  If you take a look at: http://www.nrgi-raadgivning.dk/erhverv You can see in the code, that if you are coming from an IE, it should apply a stylesheet... The IE stylesheet is supposed to set the margin:0 at the dropdown menu ul, but i doesnt? Any ideas to whats wrong?

• Custom error page configured in IIS for code 400 (bad request) is ignored

  For my website I configured some custom error pages. If I generate a 404, the redirect works fine. When hitting a 400, the "bad request" text shows up instead of the configured URl. As a test I copied the URL from 404 to 400. No change. Then I changed the redirect to a file. No change. Any ideas?

The ScatterViewItems are added programatically to the ScatterView based on info looked up in a DB The Scatterview does a good job of displaying this info However, I would like them to be evenly distributed across the table and not have any items overlapping Any ideas how to do that?

  We using ASP.NET 3.5 (Controls-based apporach) and need to have storage specific for one http request only. Thread-specific cache with keys from session id won't work because threads are supposed to be pooled and therefore I have a chance to have data from some previous request in cache, which is undesireble in my case. I always need to have brand new storage for each request available through whole request. Any ideas how to do it in ASP.NET 3.5?

  I'm trying to implement GK's voice chat. I have the underlying network done over wifi instead of bluetooth. Between the simulator and my test device, I was able to accept the invitation. But immediately after, I get the call didNotStartWithParticipantID, with the following error: Error Domain=GKVoiceChatServiceErrorDomain Code=32002 UserInfo=0x3b286f0 "Network conditions prevented connection."   Hello :) I'm writing a compressor for a long stream of 128 bit numbers. I would like to store the numbers as differences -- storing only the difference between the numbers rather than the numbers themselves because I can pack the differences in fewer bytes because they are smaller. However, for compression then I need to subtract these 128 bit values, and for decompression I need to add these values. Maximum integer size for my compiler is 64 bits wide.   Hey guys, I'm writing a search algorithm in C++, and one of the things I need to do is have a few if statements that check cells above, below, left of, and right of. Each time a cell is found to be open and added to the stack, I want it added to a list of cells already checked. I want to be able to say in the if loop if(thisCell is not in checkedCells). • Activesync wont connect to my Windows CE 6 device

  Hi! When I connect my Windows CE 6 device to my development machine I get Microsoft USB Sync to register in Windows Device manager. But I cant connect with ActiveSync for some reason. Any ideas on how to fix this? It worked with Windows CE 5, but when we upgraded ActiveSync-functionality disappeared.

• Determine if method is unsafe via reflection

  I'm looking for a way to filter out methods which have the unsafe modifier via reflection. It doesn't seem to be a method attribute. Is there a way? EDIT: it seems that this info is not in the metadata, at least I can't see it in the IL. However reflector shows the unsafe modifier in C# view. Any ideas on how it's done? Thanks!
