We are using Java and Javascript to try to display a huge sheet with freeze panes, but it is being very difficult. Does someone know about a library, method, script or something, either free or commercial, to do this?
Thanks.
I am using Eclipse v3.5.
In previous Eclipse versions i remember if i have defined a method with a parameter and didn't use it internally a warning appears, like this :
public void myMethod( int x ) {
// Didn't use x here so a warning appears at the x parameter.
}
But in v3.5 i do not see this warning. How can i enable it in Eclipse ?
In my messages_controller I have the following private method:
def find_message_or_404(slug)
message = user.messages.find_by_slug(slug)
if message.nil?
raise Error404
end
message
end
I find it not elegant and not very Rubist. Is there a way to improve it?
i'm playing around with c# reflection api. i can easily load type info of classes, methods etc. in an assembly.
now i wonder how can i load and read the code inside a method?
Is there a default timeout for threads waiting on a synchronised method in Java? Some threads in my app are not completing as expected. Is there anyway to check whether threads have died as a result of timeouts?

Hey guys,
while surfing through the web and through stackoverflow.com i found many posts in forums, etc. where this message occures in IE but not in the other browsers. the thing is, the resolutions vary widely and it's not clear for me what's the best way to avoid this problem.
So my question is, if anybody knows exactly, specificly what this message
Object doesn't support this property or method
means, causes, says ,...
thanks for help.

What is the easiest way of pulling an excisting method out of it's class and into a new class using Visual studio 2010 / Resharper?
Edit: I use Resharper version 5.
I'm asking this question, because I can't figure out when I could find an use of this method.
If I've designed everything correctly then I should be able by the medium of normal returns and try catch clauses to handle all problems and end the application in a correct manner.
Am I wrong ?
I have an order edit and quote edit screen that are very similar. I want to try to avoid code like this:
if (order is Order)
SetupScreenForOrder();
if (order is Quote)
SetupScreenForQuote();
But maintaining two screens is not good either. If I create some common interface between a Quote and Order then how do you deal with fields like OrderNumber or QuoteDate?
What's the best way to handle this?
I'm creating a VB.NET application that includes two radio buttons inside of a groupbox. If the first radio button is selected, a certain tab on a tab form should be enabled. If the second radio button is selected, that tab should be disabled.
Is there a groupbox method that monitors both radio buttons and fires when the selection changes? Or do I need to set up individual methods for each radio button?
Can PHP array passed POST method to catch in ASP.NET MVC?
Query string: WebAccess/ArrayTest?val[]=1&val[]=2&val[]=3
I write: ActionResult ArrayTest (String[] val)
But this only works if the query string to remove the "[]"
So, I came across an interesting method signature that I don't quite understand, it went along the lines of:
void Initialize(std::vector< std::string > & param1, class SomeClassName * p);
what I don't understand is the "class" keyword being used as the parameter, why is it there? Is it necessary to specify or it is purely superficial?
What is the significance of Thread.Join method in c sharp .net ?
MSDN says that it blocks the calling thread until a thread terminates. Can anybody explain this with a simple example ?
I am making a async method call through a delegate. Delegate pointing to a function is a void function. How can I know that the async function has been executed successfully and if not the again call that function untill I get success response. here my code-
BillService bs = new BillService();
PayAdminCommisionDelegate payCom = new PayAdminCommisionDelegate(bs.PaySiteAdminByOrderNo);

I'm about to create a function which adds to NSDateComponents together is there any advantage to putting this in a C style function or should it go in a Obj-C method?
Is there ever a reason to use one rather then the other or should I always stick to Obj-C?
BTW: Not that it makes any difference I'm sure but this is for an app on the iPhone
Many thanks
