  • how to add a sidebar to a .net page based on a master page that doesnt have a sidebar.

    - by UXdesigner
    Hello, I have been told that I should add a sidebar to one page of this .net project, but the master page don't include a sidebar. How can I add a sidebar to one page only ? This is the code for the Master Template, can anyone suggest or help me out here? I'd buy a book and read more, but I have to do this for the next 12 hours. <%@ Master Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Public.master.cs" Inherits="Public" %> <%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="cc2" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <%--<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> --%><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title></title> <%--<link href="favicon.ico" rel="Shortcut Icon" type="image/x-icon" />--%> <link href="<%= Server.MapPath("~/css/main2.css") %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" /> <link href="<%= Server.MapPath("~/css/dropdown.css") %>" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="<%= Server.MapPath("~/css/default.advanced.css") %>" media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="<%= Server.MapPath("~/css/vlightbox.css") %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="<%= Server.MapPath("~/css/visuallightbox.css") %>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <link href="<%= Server.MapPath("~/boxes.css") %>"rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" /> <script src="<%= Server.MapPath("~/engine/js/jquery.min.js") %>" ype="text/javascript"></script> <script src="<%= Server.MapPath("~/js/cufon-yui.js") %>" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="<%= Server.MapPath("~/js/AFB_400.font.js") %>" type="text/javascript"></script> <style type="text/css"> #vlightbox a#vlb { display:none } </style> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js" ></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.5.3/jquery-ui.min.js" ></script> <script type="text/javascript"> Cufon.replace('h2');   • PHP: Can pcntl_alarm() and socket_select() peacefully exist in the same thread?

    - by DWilliams
    I have a PHP CLI script mostly written that functions as a chat server for chat clients to connect to (don't ask me why I'm doing it in PHP, thats another story haha). My script utilizes the socket_select() function to hang execution until something happens on a socket, at which point it wakes up, processes the event, and waits until the next event. Now, there are some routine tasks that I need performed every 30 seconds or so (check of tempbanned users should be unbanned, save user databases, other assorted things). From what I can tell, PHP doesn't have very great multi-threading support at all. My first thought was to compare a timestamp every time the socket generates an event and gets the program flowing again, but this is very inconsistent since the server could very well sit idle for hours and not have any of my cleanup routines executed. I came across the PHP pcntl extensions, and it lets me use assign a time interval for SIGALRM to get sent and a function get executed every time it's sent. This seems like the ideal solution to my problem, however pcntl_alarm() and socket_select() clash with each other pretty bad. Every time SIGALRM is triggered, all sorts of crazy things happen to my socket control code. My program is fairly lengthy so I can't post it all here, but it shouldn't matter since I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong code-wise. My question is: Is there any way for a SIGALRM to be handled in the same thread as a waiting socket_select()? If so, how? If not, what are my alternatives here? Here's some output from my program. My alarm function simply outputs "Tick!" whenever it's called to make it easy to tell when stuff is happening. This is the output (including errors) after allowing it to tick 4 times (there were no actual attempts at connecting to the server despite what it says): [05-28-10 @ 20:01:05] Chat server started on 192.168.1.28 port 4050 [05-28-10 @ 20:01:05] Loaded 2 users from file PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /home/danny/projects/PHPChatServ/ChatServ.php on line 112 PHP Warning: socket_select(): unable to select [4]: Interrupted system call in /home/danny/projects/PHPChatServ/ChatServ.php on line 116 [05-28-10 @ 20:01:15] Tick! - by Zeeshan Rang
    Hi Well the heading is basically what my question is: How can I have different colors for different tabs in SuperTabNavigator. Below is the code to my SuperTabNavigator with three tabs: <containers:SuperTabNavigator x="0" y="10" width="100%" height="100%" right="1" top="1" left="1" bottom="1" color="black" creationPolicy="all" id="tab_nav" popUpButtonPolicy="{SuperTabNavigator.POPUPPOLICY_OFF}"> <mx:Canvas label="My Friends" id="friends_container" width="100%" height="100%"/> <mx:Canvas label="My Groups" id="groups_container" width="100%" height="100%"/> <mx:Canvas label="Address Book" id="address_container" width="100%" height="100%"/> </containers:SuperTabNavigator> I want to have different color for every different tab. • Python: combining making two scripts into one

    - by Alex
    I have two separately made python scripts one that makes a sine wave sound based off time, and another that produces a sine wave graph that is based off the same time factors. I need help combining them into one running file. Here's the first: from struct import pack from math import sin, pi import time def au_file(name, freq, freq1, dur, vol): fout = open(name, 'wb') # header needs size, encoding=2, sampling_rate=8000, channel=1 fout.write('.snd' + pack('>5L', 24, 8*dur, 2, 8000, 1)) factor = 2 * pi * freq/8000 factor1 = 2 * pi * freq1/8000 # write data for seg in range(8 * dur): # sine wave calculations sin_seg = sin(seg * factor) + sin(seg * factor1) fout.write(pack('b', vol * 64 * sin_seg)) fout.close() t = time.strftime("%S", time.localtime()) ti = time.strftime("%M", time.localtime()) tis = float(t) tis = tis * 100 tim = float(ti) tim = tim * 100 if __name__ == '__main__': au_file(name='timeSound.au', freq=tim, freq1=tis, dur=1000, vol=1.0) import os os.startfile('timeSound.au') and the second is this: from Tkinter import * import math import time t = time.strftime("%S", time.localtime()) ti = time.strftime("%M", time.localtime()) tis = float(t) tis = tis / 100 tim = float(ti) tim = tim / 100 root = Tk() root.title("This very moment") width = 400 height = 300 center = height//2 x_increment = 1 # width stretch x_factor1 = tis x_factor2 = tim # height stretch y_amplitude = 50 c = Canvas(width=width, height=height, bg='black') c.pack() str1 = "sin(x)=white" c.create_text(10, 20, anchor=SW, text=str1) center_line = c.create_line(0, center, width, center, fill='red') # create the coordinate list for the sin() curve, have to be integers xy1 = [] xy2 = [] for x in range(400): # x coordinates xy1.append(x * x_increment) xy2.append(x * x_increment) # y coordinates xy1.append(int(math.sin(x * x_factor1) * y_amplitude) + center) xy2.append(int(math.sin(x * x_factor2) * y_amplitude) + center) sinS_line = c.create_line(xy1, fill='white') sinM_line = c.create_line(xy2, fill='yellow') root.mainloop()

  • Please help me correct the small bugs in this image editor

    - by Alex
    Hi, I'm working on a website that will sell hand made jewelry and I'm finishing the image editor, but it's not behaving quite right. Basically, the user uploads an image which will be saved as a source and then it will be resized to fit the user's screen and saved as a temp. The user will then go to a screen that will allow them to crop the image and then save it to it's final versions. All of that works fine, except, the final versions have 3 bugs. First is some black horizontal line on the very bottom of the image. Second is an outline of sorts that follows the edges. I thought it was because I was reducing the quality, but even at 100% it still shows up... And lastly, I've noticed that the cropped image is always a couple of pixels lower than what I'm specifying... Anyway, I'm hoping someone whose got experience in editing images with C# can maybe take a look at the code and see where I might be going off the right path. Oh, by the way, this in an ASP.NET MVC application. Here's the code: using System; using System.Drawing; using System.Drawing.Drawing2D; using System.Drawing.Imaging; using System.IO; using System.Linq; using System.Web; namespace Website.Models.Providers { public class ImageProvider { private readonly ProductProvider ProductProvider = null; • How to determine if "html" or "body" scrolls the window.

    - by David Murdoch
    The code below is used to find the element that can be scrolled (body or html) via javascript. var scrollElement = (function (tags) { var el, $el, init; // iterate through the tags... while (el = tags.pop()) { $el = $(el); // if the scrollTop value is already > 0 then this element will work if ( $el.scrollTop() > 0){ return $el; } // if scrollTop is 0 try to scroll. else if($el.scrollTop( 1 ).scrollTop() > 0) { // if that worked reset the scroll top and return the element return $el.scrollTop(0); } } return $(); } (["html", "body"])); // do stuff with scrollElement...like: // scrollElement.animate({"scrollTop":target.offset().top},1000); This code works perfectly when the height of the document is greater than the height of the window. However, when the height of the document is the same or less than the window the method above will not work because scrollTop() will always be equal to 0. This becomes a problem if the DOM is updated and the height of the document grows beyond the height of the window after the code runs. Also, I generally don't wait until document.ready to set up my javascript handlers (this generally works). I could append a tall div to the body temporarily to force the method above to work BUT that would required the document to be ready in IE (you can't add a node to the body element before the tag is closed). For more reading on the document.ready "anti-pattern" topic read this. So, I'd love to find a solution that finds the scrollable element even when the document is short. Any ideas?

    Write a JAVA program that calculates the surface area of a cylinder, C= 2( p r2) + 2 p r h, where r is the radius and h is the height of the cylinder. Allow the user to enter in a radius and a height. Format the output to three decimal places. Use the constant PI and the method pow() from the Math class. This is what I've done so far but it can not run. Can anyone help me ? import Java.util Scanner; public class Ex5 { public static void main (String[] args) { Scanner input.new Scanner(System.in); double radius,height,area; System.out.print("Please enter the radius of the Cylinder"); radius = input.nextDouble(); System.out.print("Please enter the height of the Cylinder"); height = input.nextDouble(); area = (4*Math.PI*radius)+2*Math.PIMath.POW(radius,2); System.out.println("The surface of the cylinder" + area); } }

  • Which credentials should I put in for Google App Engine BulkLoader at development server?

    - by Hoang Pham
    Hello everyone, I would like to ask which kind of credentials do I need to put on for importing data using the Google App Engine BulkLoader class appcfg.py upload_data --config_file=models.py --filename=listcountries.csv --kind=CMSCountry --url=http://localhost:8178/remote_api vit/ And then it asks me for credentials: Please enter login credentials for localhost Here is an extraction of the content of the models.py, I use this listcountries.csv file class CMSCountry(db.Model): sortorder = db.StringProperty() name = db.StringProperty(required=True) formalname = db.StringProperty() type = db.StringProperty() subtype = db.StringProperty() sovereignt = db.StringProperty() capital = db.StringProperty() currencycode = db.StringProperty() currencyname = db.StringProperty() telephonecode = db.StringProperty() lettercode = db.StringProperty() lettercode2 = db.StringProperty() number = db.StringProperty() countrycode = db.StringProperty() class CMSCountryLoader(bulkloader.Loader): def __init__(self): bulkloader.Loader.__init__(self, 'CMSCountry', [('sortorder', str), ('name', str), ('formalname', str), ('type', str), ('subtype', str), ('sovereignt', str), ('capital', str), ('currencycode', str), ('currencyname', str), ('telephonecode', str), ('lettercode', str), ('lettercode2', str), ('number', str), ('countrycode', str) ]) loaders = [CMSCountryLoader] Every tries to enter the email and password result in "Authentication Failed", so I could not import the data to the development server. I don't think that I have any problem with my files neither my models because I have successfully uploaded the data to the appspot.com application. So what should I put in for localhost credentials? • Rendering form on the fly from XML in flex

    Hi, I have an xml code something like this <root> <render> <head> <transition id="fadeIn" type="fade" subtype="" dur="3s"/> <transition id="fadeOut" type="fade" subtype="" dur="3s"/> <layout> <root-layout width="480px" height="360px" backgroundColor="0"/> <region id="rootRegion" dur="15s"> <region id="background" soundLevel="100%" top="0px" left="0px" width="480px" height="360px" z-index="0"/> <region id="foreground" soundLevel="100%" top="0%" left="0%" width="480px" height="360px" z-index="1"/> </region> </layout> </head> <body> <par region="background" begin="0s"> <img> <meta name="assetsource" content="stock"/> <src>http://s3.amazonaws.com/JivoxStockImage/000003296736.jpg</src> <width>102.49999999999999%</width> <height>97.5%</height> <left>0%</left> <top>0%</top> <clipBegin/> <clipEnd/> <begin>0s</begin> <dur>15</dur> </img> <audio> <meta name="assetsource" content="stock"/> <src>http://audio.mp3</src> <clipBegin/> <clipEnd/> <begin>0s</begin> <dur>15s</dur> </audio> </par> <par region="foreground" begin="0s"> <img> <meta name="assettype" content="user"/> <src>http://image.png</src> <width>20%</width> <height>20%</height> <left>41.5%</left> <top>25.555555555555557%</top> <begin>2s</begin> <dur>10s</dur> <id>BA6B7CF0BD9080CAD7A02199483224EA61A6E08A</id> </img> </par> </body> </render> <form> <map formId="BA6B7CF0BD9080CAD7A02199483224EA61A6E08A" type="image" label="Logo" /> <map formId="F635A9123082A15834389030382683C55EB29E75" type="text" label="Company Name" /> </form> </root> Here I need to match formId in 'form' with that of 'id' in 'render' and create the form dynamically in flex. I am able to get the xml file via the httpservice. All I need to know is how to match it and render the form dynamically!!

  • WPF Grid Row / Column Sizing in Proportion to DesiredSize?

    - by sinibar
    I have two user controls arranged vertically in a grid, both of which can expand to be taller than the grid can accommodate. I've put them in each in a scrollviewer which functionally works. What I want though is to give them them space in proportion to the amount that they want at run time. So if there's 500 height available, the upper control wants 400 and the lower 600, the upper control would get 200 and the bottom 300. I have no idea at design time how much space each will want in proportion to the other, so using 1*, 2* etc. for row height won't work for me. I can hand-code run-time proportional sizing, but am I missing a simple trick in XAML that would get me what I want? Context is as follows (trimmed for brevity)... <Grid> <TabControl> <TabItem> <Grid> <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <GroupBox Grid.Row="0" Header="Title Area" /> <ScrollViewer Grid.Row="1" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"> <UserControl /> </ScrollViewer> <ScrollViewer Grid.Row="2" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"> <UserControl /> </ScrollViewer> </Grid> </Grid> </TabItem> </TabControl> </Grid>

  • WatiN NativeElement.GetElementBounds() - What is the unit of measurement?

    - by Brian Schroer
    When I'm testing with WatiN, I like to save screenshots. Sometimes I don't really need a picture of the whole browser window though - I just want a picture of the element that I'm testing. My attempt to save a picture of an element with the code below resulted in a picture of a block box, because elementBounds.Top points to a pixel position way past the bottom of the screen. The elementBounds.Width and .Height values also appear to be about half what they should be. Is this a WatiN bug, or are these properties in a different unit of measure that I have to convert to pixels somehow? public static void SaveElementScreenshot (WatiN.Core.IE ie, WatiN.Core.Element element, string screenshotPath) { ScrollIntoView(ie, element); ie.BringToFront(); var ieClass = (InternetExplorerClass) ie.InternetExplorer; Rectangle elementBounds = element.NativeElement.GetElementBounds(); int left = ieClass.Left + elementBounds.Left; int top = ieClass.Top + elementBounds.Top; int width = elementBounds.Width; int height = elementBounds.Height; using (var bitmap = new Bitmap(width, height)) { using (Graphics graphics = Graphics.FromImage(bitmap)) { graphics.CopyFromScreen (new Point(left, top), Point.Empty, new Size(width, height)); } bitmap.Save(screenshotPath, ImageFormat.Jpeg); } }

  • How to get the coordinate of Gridlayout

    - by Jessy
    Hi, I set my JPanel to GridLayout (6,6), with dimension (600,600) Each cell of the grid will display one pictures with different widths and heights. The picture first add to a JLabel, and the JLabel then added to the cells. How can retrieved the coordinate of the pictures in the cells and not the coordinate of cells? So far the out give these coordinate which equal height and width even on screen the pictures showed in different sizes. e.g. java.awt.Rectangle[x=100,y=100,width=100,height=100] java.awt.Rectangle[x=200,y=100,width=100,height=100] java.awt.Rectangle[x=300,y=100,width=100,height=100] The reason why I used GridLayout instead of gridBagLayout is that, I want each pictures to have boundary. If I use GridBagLayout, the grid will expand according to the picture size. I want grid size to be in fix size. JPanel pDraw = new JPanel(new GridLayout(6,6)); pDraw.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(600,600)); for (int i =0; i<(6*6); i++) { //get random number for height and width of the image int x = rand.nextInt(40)+(50); int y = rand.nextInt(40)+(50); ImageIcon icon = createImageIcon("bird.jpg"); //rescale the image according to the size selected Image img = icon.getImage().getScaledInstance(x,y,img.SCALE_SMOOTH); icon.setImage(img ); JLabel label = new JLabel(icon); pDraw.add(label); } for(Component component:components) { //retrieve the coordinate System.out.println(component.getBounds()); }

  • Image "moves" when varying heightForRowAtIndexPath in UITableViewCell.

    - by Kalle
    I have a table view with varying height, as defined in the heightForRowAtIndexPath. For some very odd reason, the image is "indented" to the right based on the height; if the height is low enough, the image is stuck to the left side of the cell, but as the height increases, the image for said cell is shifted rightward compared to other rows. The result of this is a very poor looking list, with images floppily laid out in a zig-zag pattern depending on the height of each individual row. The problem is revealed by this simple example: - (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { return (indexPath.row+1) * 50; } Each cell is set up (simplified) as a "Subtitle" style cell with: // ... cell.textLabel.text = @"foo"; cell.detailTextLabel.text = @"bar"; cell.imageView.backgroundColor = [UIColor redColor]; // for debugging; i have images with transparent bg cell.imageView.image = anImageThatIs55x50pixelsBig; return cell; Any ideas? My head bleeds from the wall-love-affair. Edit: uploaded a screen which displays this. The "image" is just a screenshot of a tiny area of the screen which makes it look a little weird, but you get the picture I'm sure: http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/549/screenshot20100311at172.png

  • WPF toolbar disappearing on resize

    - by user1122909
    On my main form I have a toolbar with a number of buttons. Once the parent form is resized down by dragging it so that the entire toolbar with all its buttons no longer fits in the width of the window, the whole toolbar disappears. Is there a way I can make it so that as you resize it, when you get to the width of the toolbar the inner controls of the form stop resizing and stay displayed, just cut off where the window has resized to? Code is <Grid > <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto" /> <RowDefinition Height="Auto" /> <RowDefinition Height="*" /> <RowDefinition Height="Auto" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ToolBar Grid.Row="1" Height="50" Name="tbMainToolbar" VerticalAlignment="Top" MinWidth="900" > <ToolBar.Background> <LinearGradientBrush StartPoint="0.5,0" EndPoint="0.5,1"> <GradientStop Color="White" Offset="0.0" /> <GradientStop Color="#DCEBFF" Offset="0.25" /> <GradientStop Color="#99CCFF" Offset="0.75" /> <GradientStop Color="#99CCFF" Offset="1.0" /> </LinearGradientBrush> </ToolBar.Background> <DockPanel LastChildFill="True"> <Button Name="btnApproved" DockPanel.Dock="Left" Click="btnToolbar_Click" CommandParameter="APPROVED" Style="{StaticResource ToolbarButtonDisplay}" HelperClasses:ButtonProperties.Image="..\..\Resources\Images\APPROVEU.GIF" Content="Approve"> </Button> ... and so forth for about 20 buttons

  • How to Display a Bmp in a RTF control in VB.net

    - by Gerolkae
    I Started with this C# Question I'm trying to Display a bmp image inside a rtf Box for a Bot program I'm making. This function is supposed to convert a bitmap to rtf code whis is inserted to another rtf formatter srtring with additional text. Kind of like Smilies being used in a chat program. For some reason the output of this function gets rejected by the RTF Box and Vanishes completly. I'm not sure if it the way I'm converting the bmp to a Binary string or if its tied in with the header tags 'returns the RTF string representation of our picture Public Shared Function PictureToRTF(ByVal Bmp As Bitmap) As String Dim stream As New MemoryStream() Bmp.Save(stream, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp) Dim bytes As Byte() = stream.ToArray() Dim str As String = BitConverter.ToString(bytes, 0).Replace("-", String.Empty) 'header to string we want to insert Using g As Graphics = Main.CreateGraphics() xDpi = g.DpiX yDpi = g.DpiY End Using Dim _rtf As New StringBuilder() ' Calculate the current width of the image in (0.01)mm Dim picw As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Width / xDpi) * HMM_PER_INCH)) ' Calculate the current height of the image in (0.01)mm Dim pich As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Height / yDpi) * HMM_PER_INCH)) ' Calculate the target width of the image in twips Dim picwgoal As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Width / xDpi) * TWIPS_PER_INCH)) ' Calculate the target height of the image in twips Dim pichgoal As Integer = CInt(Math.Round((Bmp.Height / yDpi) * TWIPS_PER_INCH)) ' Append values to RTF string _rtf.Append("{\pict\wbitmap0") _rtf.Append("\picw") _rtf.Append(Bmp.Width.ToString) ' _rtf.Append(picw.ToString) _rtf.Append("\pich") _rtf.Append(Bmp.Height.ToString) ' _rtf.Append(pich.ToString) _rtf.Append("\wbmbitspixel24\wbmplanes1") _rtf.Append("\wbmwidthbytes40") _rtf.Append("\picwgoal") _rtf.Append(picwgoal.ToString) _rtf.Append("\pichgoal") _rtf.Append(pichgoal.ToString) _rtf.Append("\bin ") _rtf.Append(str.ToLower & "}") Return _rtf.ToString End Function

  • Event bubbling with img tags?

    - by Kenny Bones
    I did some googling and figured I'm probably experiencing so called "event bubbling" that I've never heard of but are not surprised by it's existance. I want it to fire only once and I'm wondering how to fix this. Basically, I have this small code snippet: $('.bggallery_images').click(function () { alert('test'); }); This is supposed to fire once from a php snippet that basically adds an image of each image from a specific folder. It then outputs an echo string where each image has the class of "bggallery_images". PHP snippet looks like this: <?php $dirname = "img"; $images = scandir($dirname); $ignore = Array(".", ".."); foreach($images as $file) { if(!in_array($file, $ignore)) { echo "<img class=\"bggallery_images\" src=\"$dirname/$file\" />"; }; } ?> This all generates the html markup that looks like this for each image: <img src="img/WhitePattern6.gif" class="bggallery_images"> What is happening here? Here's the rendered output from FireBug: <div id="gallery_lightbox" style="height: 215px; z-index: 4; display: block;"> <div id="close"></div> <h2><cufon class="cufon cufon-canvas" alt="Velg " style="width: 39px; height: 20px;"><canvas width="49" height="23" style="width: 49px; height: 23px; top: -4px; left: 0px;"></canvas><cufontext>Velg </cufontext></cufon><cufon class="cufon cufon-canvas" alt="bakgrunnsbilde" style="width: 123px; height: 20px;"><canvas width="129" height="23" style="width: 129px; height: 23px; top: -4px; left: 0px;"></canvas><cufontext>bakgrunnsbilde</cufontext></cufon></h2> <div class="bggallery_images">testererererer</div> <img src="img/Bakgrunner/4462-v4.jpg" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/5922.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/BluePattern.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/Brown1.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/Brown2Pattern.jpg" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/BrownPattern.jpg" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/Brownn.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/GrayPattern.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/GreenPattern3.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/OrangePattern.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/PurplePattern.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/PurplePattern2.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/RedPattern3.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/RedPattern4.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/RedPattern5.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/Tiled_Wallpaper__Green_Texture_by_knitetgantt.png" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/WhitePattern4.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/WhitePattern5.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/WhitePattern6.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/WhitePattern7.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/WhitePurple.jpg" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/YellowPattern.gif" class="bggallery_images"><img src="img/Bakgrunner/vintage-wallpaper.jpg" class="bggallery_images"> </div>

  • CSS box shadow on container div causes scrollbars

    - by kaile
    I have a website with the following setup: <div id="container"> <div id="header"></div> <div id="content"></div> <div id="clearfooter"></div> </div> <div id="footer"></div> I use the clearfooter and a footer outside the container to keep the footer at the bottom of the page when there isn't enough content. My problem is that I would like to apply a box shadow on the container div in the following way: #container {width:960px; min-height:100%; margin:0px auto -32px auto; position:relative; padding:0px; background-color:#e6e6e6; -moz-box-shadow: -3px 0px 5px rgba(0,0,0,.8), 3px 0px 5px rgba(0,0,0,.8);} #header {height:106px; position:relative;} #content {margin:0px; padding:10px 30px 10px 30px; position:relative;} #clearFooter {height:32px; clear:both; display:block; padding:0px; margin:0px;} #footer {height:32px; padding:0px; position:relative; width:960px; margin:0px auto 0px auto;} As you can see its a drop shadow on on each side of the container div. However, in doing this, when the content doesn't take up the full height, there are still scroll bars caused by the shadow pushing past the bottom of the footer due to the blur. Is there some way of preventing the shadow from going past the edge of the container div and causing a scrollbar? Thanks for your help!
