    hey guys, I use NSUserDefaults to store some stuff. It works fine but only after i restart the app. I use: [prefs synchronize]; I thought it would immediately save the data but instead preferences stay null. If you have any idea or already deal with it let me know. Thanks for any help. Wallou

  • Using Time datatype in MySQL without seconds

    I'm trying to store a 12/24hr (ie; 00:00) clock time in a MySQL database. At the moment I am using the time datatype. This works ok but it insists on adding the seconds to the column. So you enter 09:20 and it is stored as 09:20:00. Is there any way I can limit it in MySQL to just 00:00?

    Hi. I wanted to know is C# array has a constant access speed? I need to store 1000 items in static array, that will be initialized during server startup. This array will be used readonly, so there will be no changes to array. Should I use a simple C# array (new MyClass[]) or Dictionary instead. I am really new to C# and trying to understand how C# arrays access works. Can they be compared to c++ arrays by speed?

Issue now is pl/sql programs store excpetions into Oracle tables whenever a execption is raised. How would my java programs get the execptions since the exception instead of being propogated from pl/sql to java is getting persisted to a oracle table.

For example, if the user writes "Co" followed by "ol" and presses OK, the text is stored as "Cool" as an image in a field on the form displayed on the phone. (No handwriting recognition or OCR required) I have seen the Canvas class in Android, but how would you concatenate all the letters/set of characeters and convert them to image ?     What JAVA library should I be using to Hash passwords for storage in a database? I was hoping to just take the plain text password, add a random salt, then store the salt and the hashed password in the database. Then when a user wanted to log in, I could just take their submitted password, add the random salt from their account information, hash it and see if it equates to the stored hash password with their account information.
