Hi
I have a table with the following structure:
id int(11),
name varchar(250)
I have lots of records in the table but when I am trying to find a particluar record which has the following value on the name field:
Lorem ipsum d\'olor sit amet
The query is simply returning a blank recordset. I am not being able to figure out this weird behaviour, when my query is as simple as follows:
SELECT * FROM slot_games WHERE name='Lorem ipsum d\'olor sit amet'
Would appreciate your help please! Thanks in advance.
I am using C# code for inserting record and datetimepicker control for Date
I want to insert Date like 24-05-2010 in MySQL Database
What Datatype i have to use for that in MySQL table
and how to right insert query for to insert date?
Let's say I have an array of objects from the same class, with two attributes of concern here: name and created_at.
How do I find objects with the same name (considered dups) in the array, and then delete the duplicate record in the database. The object with the most-recent created_at date, however, is the one that must be deleted.
I have a simple Zend Framework that has a view script to add records to the database. This is a silly question IMHO, but how can I use the add view script to edit the record as well??
I have played around with a few scenarios to no avail.
Thanks,
Steve
I'm looking for an example of a good update trigger to update the ModifyDate field of a table.
It would be nice to handle the case where an update command updated more than one record in the table.
Is there a good template or tutorial for this?
Thanks
I have a large auditing stored procedure that prints values and runs some SELECT statements. When running within SQL Management Studio we have the use select to display "Results to Text" so all of the SQL results and print statement display in one place.
Now I need to have some C# code also call this auditing procedure at the end of the process and basically store all data that would be in the "Results to Text" window into a .txt file.
How can this be done?
I have a table which I want to record the timestamp of every order at every insertion time. However, I'm getting zero values for the timestamps.
Here's my schema:
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS orders(
order_no VARCHAR(16) NOT NULL,
volunteer_id VARCHAR(16) NOT NULL,
date TIMESTAMP DEFAULT NOW(),
PRIMARY KEY (order_no),
FOREIGN KEY (volunteer_id) REFERENCES volunteer(id)
ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE)
Eg:
$variable = "10000";
for($i=0; $i<3;$i++)
{
$variable++;
$file = $variable."."."txt";
open output,'>$file' or die "Can't open the output file!";
}
This doesn't work...Please suggest a new way. Thanks in advance :)
We need to INSERT 2000 records into SQL DB from C# .Net code.
For this is there any way to INSERT all 2000 records at a time instead of executing the INSERT query for each record.
Also how would be the performance impact of doing this?
Thanks & Regards
Padma
I'm trying to set up a test project looking like my own project just to get things working first and it looks like this:
/MainProject/inc/main.h
/MainProject/src/main.cpp
/LibProject/inc/test.h
/LibProject/src/test.cpp
I've found some tutorials, but I cant find out how to set up this when I have the inc and src folder? How would the CMakeLists.txt files look? Would I have one in /, one in each of the project folders? It seems like I dont need to have one in the inc and src folders?
(Assuming the network folders/permissions are correctly set up and working in Windows, and a 'default' PHP setup...)
Is it possible to use UNC network paths [like \\ServerName\Folder\file.txt] in PHP's functions like file_get_contents(), fopen(), etc?
And/or, what special cases allow/disallow this?
I have multiple master pages in my asp.net mvc web application... Each of the pages add,edit,view and delete functionalities.... What it does is i have to create multiple views for handling add,edit,view and delete functionalities (ie) the user has to navigate to another view to edit/view the details of a record... How to Handle Multiple Form Actions (ie) add,edit,view and delete functionalities on One View?
Basically I am trying to capture the value of the form field before it is saved to the database. Then I intend to use that value in my controller to update a specific field in the database, using @taskforms.update_attribute('notes', $notes)
I need to do this because I know of no other way to update that that does not require the full record to be validated.
SQL query which select the record from three tables and there is no relation between these tables. Actually I want to make it a VIEW.
suppose there are three tales Table1, Table2, Table3
I want to show records of Table1 first with some filter criteria
and then the records from Table2
and in last from Table3 as when we execute the view it show like the records like a Table.
There can be any number of rows but the records must be in this sequence.
What I am trying to do is: (programmatically)
Update status where id is something, if no rows where updated, give error: we cannot find the record with id something, otherwise give message success.
Here I am using mysql_affected_rows() to know if a row was updated or not, but it always return 1, so the user gets a success message, even though there was no row updated.
Can anyone tell me what could it be?
I would like to parse this Gstring with groovy :
Format type : CodeClass, Name, Accession, Count.
def txt = """ <Lane_Attributes>
ID,1
FovCount,600
FovCounted,598
...
</Lane_Attributes> """
And get a map like :
Map = [ID:1, FovCount:600, FovCounted:598]
How can I :
- extract text between tag and ?,
- and convert to a map ?
On my application, the user needs to click on a file name, and then the user is supposed to choose either to download the file or open it. I put code for it that is working fine for .doc, .txt extentions yet it is not working fine for .docx
My code is the following:
@header('Location:'.$attachment_path);
Any idea of how to do it so it will work for all kind of attachment?
How to display the datas of tables, that are linked by a primay key and foriegn key, where the foriegn key of the data repeats?
For ex. I have two tables, ParentTable and Childtable.
The primarykey of the Parent table acts as the foriegn key of the Child table.
There are more than one record with same ParentId in Child table. How to retrieve them and display in a single Grid or List or any type of view?
I am setting up a dns lookup form using dns_get_record. I set it up to check the A Record and MX Records of the domain that is input. However, I would like it to also display the IP address of the displayed MX Records. Is this possible?
Eg:
$variable = "10000";
for($i=0; $i<3;$i++)
{
$variable++;
$file = $variable."."."txt";
open output,'>$file' or die "Can't open the output file!";
}
This doesn't work. Please suggest a new way.
For example, I open a file called "abc.txt". Now I want to search for all occurrences of "he is" and "first" simultaneously. I want to be able to do a search forward i.e. Ctrl-s and I'll reach the next instance of either of the two search strings.
I have a DELETE query which deletes a record from a mysql db.
is there any way to make sure if the delete was performed or not?
I mean, for a query to FIND stuff you do
$res=mysql_query($var);
$nr=mysql_num_rows($res);
and you get nr of rows returned.
Is there any similiar method for deletion of records?
Thanks
All I can find information on for the URLLoader object in Actionsript 3.0 involves loading XML files, which I don't want to do. I'm trying to load in a .txt file that I want to parse, line by line with each line being delimited by a comma. Anyone know a method of doing this or a place where I can find some information on how to do this? Thanks!
Is there a simple way I can exclude nulls from affecting the avg? They appear to count as 0, which is not what I want. I simply don't want to take their average into account, yet here is the catch, I can't drop them from the result set, as that record has data on it that I do need.
