  I am trying to find the correct syntax to pass a varible to my JQuery Post. var id = empid; $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "../Webservices/EmployeeService.asmx/GetEmployeeOrders", data: "{empid: empid}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(result) { alert(result.d); } I don't think the data: value is quite right. Implementing comments by my own is too hard and it's not very safe. Maybe someone had and experience integrating some existing joomla component for an own component? Update: Maybe I can copy-paste code of some existing joomla comments component in my own component? Does somebody tried to do this?

But when I access this site www.wenxuecity.com (It is a chinese site) I could't find out how it opens each news in a new window. no target in the link. debug javascript doesn't show any call to window.open Could someone tell me how it is implemented? • When Something Occurs in a BackgroundWorker, Trigger Code on a Different Thread?

  I have a background worker that runs and looks for stuff, and when it finds stuff, I want to update my main WinForm. The issue that I'm having is that when I try to update my WinForm from my background worker, I get errors that tell me I can't modify things that were made outside of my background worker (in other words, everything in my form). Can someone provide a simple code example of how I can get my code to work the way I want it to? Thanks!

  I've got a 'MyDataTable' class that inherits from System.Data.DataTable I've implemented ISerializable in my class and have a 'Public Overrides Sub GetObjectData...' But when I try to serialize the an object of 'MyDataTable' I get an error saying that 'MyDataTable' is not marked as serializable. If I used a DataTable instead - my code serializes correctly. If I add a serializable attribute to the 'MyDataTable' class - it serializes correctly, but I'm told that is unnecessary if I implement ISerializable. Can someone point me in the right direction?

• Hibernate query cache automatically refreshed on external update?

  I'm creating a service that has read-only access to the database. I have a query cache and a second level cache enabled (READ_ONLY mode) in Hibernate to speed up the service, as the tables being accessed change rarely. My question is, if someone goes into the DB and changes the tables manually (i.e. outside of Hibernate), does the cache recognize automatically that it needs to be cleared? Is there a time limit on the cache?

  In Java, the wrapper class Integer has the static method parseInt() which is used like this: Integer.parseInt(). I thought only methods of static classes could be called like this (ie. Class.doMethod()). All non-static classes need objects to be instantiated to use their methods. I checked the API, and apparently Integer is declared as public final Integer - not static. Someone please help me understand this.
