  • Using curl_init in Zend Application is causing Session Error

    Hey guys I'm getting this weird error in my Zend application with this piece of code: $curl = curl_init(); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, 'www.xyz.com/ab.php'); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $data = curl_exec($curl); curl_close($curl); This is the error, I get: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Session_Exception' with message 'session has already been started by session.auto-start or session_start() When I remove that code everything works fine.     I am running a store on Magento. For some reason the "Recently Viewed", "Related Items" and "Featured Items" blocks have all disappeared from my site. They where definitely there yesterday so I'm not sure what's happened to them. Featured Products is an extension I use and show on the home page using: {{block type="featuredproducts/listing" template="inchoo/block_featured_products_main.phtml"}} Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

    Hay, i have a field in one of my models which saves the creation date of an object created_on = models.DateTimeField(blank=False, auto_now_add=True) This works as expected. In my templates i want to list objects like this June 15 {{ objects here which was created on June 15 }} June 14 {{ objects here which was created on June 14 }} etc Any idea how i would go about doing this?     I'm working on a data mining research project and use code from a big svn. Apparently one of the methods I use from that svn uses randomness somewhere without asking for a seed, which makes 2 calls to my program return different results. That's annoying for what I want to do, so I'm trying to locate that "uncontrolled" randomness. Since the classes I use depend on many other, that's pretty painful to do by hand. Any idea how I could find where that randomness comes from ?

  • Registration with profile picture using services in Drupal

    I've been trying to upload a user profile picture during the user registration using Service 3 and so far I haven't had any luck. I tested passing a hard coded fid in the field "picture" and also tried to pass the fields "filemime", "filename", etc. and it didn't work neither. Any idea about what fields I need to populate? I guess it must be related to this post Using Drupal Services and DIOS SDK for setting user picture in iOS app but it doesn't have and answer neither.

  • Can't I send NULL as a parameter with a constructor?

    Lets say i have a Shape object that has a constructor like this: Shape( width, height, radius, depth ) Now, I just have a silly rect so i dont need redius and depth... is it okey to do Shape myRect(50, 50, NULL, NULL) ? I know its not the best idea and I should use inheritance and stuff but this is the mess im in so can i use NULL like this?

    Is it possible to disable the in-browser, full-page zoom in Firefox (activated by Ctrl +) for a webpage? How about for certain elements in a webpage? I just notice that sometimes elements look really weird when they are zoomed, and it might be nice to just disable the zooming completely for those elements. Note: I know there a few ways to find the zoom level, but this is really wanting to actively work around it (which might not be a good idea anyway).

    I am trying to find a way to display numerical digits as a larger font size than chars on a website (not my idea!). The reason for this is to make the numbers stand out. I have looked for a font that would satisfy this without coding but I could not find any. Also, I don't want to slow down the website by having the font coverted to an image.
