    I have been seeing these following error codes on our LDAP server: zgrep -o err=[0-9]* ldap.log.1.gz | sort | uniq -c 106664 err=0 146 err=16 288 err=4 29 err=49 8106 err=6 Can someone explain what err=6 is exactly and if its a big problem? I have been seeing lately some failures to authenticate and wonder if it is related to these errors? I have seen a possible timeout problem in the 2.2 Code base and not sure if theres a patch or if I would have to upgrade to the latest openldap version? thanks kosta

We decided to start with minimal configuration.   • Western Digital External 1TB HDD, possible to mount internally?

    I have an external WD MyBook. it has USB, Firewire and e-sata connectors, but I would like to mount it internally in my desktop system instead for extra performance, and I'm also considered about how long it will last externally. Does anyone know if this is possible? Has anyone done this with success?     I've got a computer running under the OS "Window Server 2008 R2" on which i have : 60GB disk C: NTFS (Disk 0) 40GB unallocated memory (Disk 1) I would like to partition my disk so that i'll have : 30GB disk C: 70GB disk D: Can you help me on the step i should do to be abble to have this configuration ? I saw that first of all i should merge the two volumes into one, but when i click right on the c: Volume, i can't click on the "Extend Volume" link. Do you know how i can overcome this ? This includes our Sharepoint databases, while looking into moving the databases I found the Microsoft documentation for moving Sharepoint 2007, however have not been able to find anything similar for Sharepoint 2003.   • WPF & RenderTierCapability, what could cause a machine to be dropped from Tier 2 to 0?

    I'm having an issue on some imaged machines where they will started out on Tier 2 and after some time of use (they are well spec'd kiosk machines, quad-core, Nvidia 550Ti), they drop to Tier 0 and effectively become useless. Restarting the machine doesn't seem to help. This is a problem more than just "missing hardware acceleration" because my application requires D3DImage to function (which requires Tier 2).   • Virtual Subdomains

    I would like to manage subdomains exclusively through .htaccess. I am able to catch subdomains that I set up - for example, support.testsite.com - currently, I redirect that to testsite.com/support. What I would like to do is retain the subdomain, even after the redirect - so support.testsite.com seems to stay in the address bar for the user, even though it is actually located at testsite.com/support. Should I maintain another .htaccess file in /support that rewrites the address? Thanks!

    We have a number of shared computers that users never seem to log out of. Am I correct that there is no built in functionality to automatically log off console sessions after an idle timeout? I've seen two suggestions: a logoff screensaver, and a scheduled task with an idle trigger. Will the idle trigger work if only the session is idle, but the computer is in use with a different session? Is there a better way to go about this? Thanks,

    I'm looking for a single line command or a script that archives 5 folders into .tar files (no gzip/bzip needed) in a certain directory and deletes the folders after a successful compression. It has to use the original folder name as file name for the archive too.   • Capture virtual machine traffic in Fiddler

    I'm running Ubuntu in a virtual machine (host machine is Windows 7). Is it possible to use Fiddler in the host machine to capture the traffic from the virtual machine? Seeing as the virtual machine's network must be passing through the host computers NIC, can Fiddler capture the packets? (I don't know of any free alternative to Fiddler for Linux, except Tamper Data, but I need a bit more control). Thanks.
