  • How to Create C++ Project Filter/Folder in Visual Studio?

    - by BSalita
Using Visual Studio 2012, I'd like to create a C++ project folder called "Include Files", which has the same characteristics as the well known folder "Header Files". That is, the files in Include Files have a cpi extenson and will be parsed out for use with InteliSense, and also can be precompiled. I'm able to create the folder but files within it aren't parsed. I've tried setting the type to C++ Header file. Nothing seems to work. The files work fine when given a hpp extension and put into Header Files folder.

  • Applescript for a Newbie: Copy file to a new folder.

    - by Mike
Hi there! I've also posted this on the macnn forums, but thought I may get a better response here. I was hoping to find some help with using applescript (something I have never tried before, though I have a good knowledge of php etc) I need to create an applescript that will copy specified files from one folder to a newly created folder. These files need to be specified in the applescript. so something like: start fileToBeMoved = "Desktop/Test Folder 1/test.doc" newfoldername = "Test Folder 2" make newfolder and name it 'newfoldername' copy 'fileToBeMoved' to 'newfolder' end I'm so sorry for the rubbish description! Hope someone can help! Thanks!

  • How to add an existing folder to a Visual Studio project?

    - by Earlz
I have a web application project made in Visual Studio 2008. Well, I added a jquery folder and added it to source control and other such things. I forgot to add it to the visual studio project though. How do I add the existing folder now? I've tried just creating a new folder and naming it jquery but it gave me a cryptic error "the directory is already on the disk ... if you want to see this directory then check the Show All Files option in the project file" Yet I looked and saw no such option. Is the only way around this to rename jquery to jquery2 and then create a new folder via visual studio named jquery and copy all my files into it?

  • Tomcat 6: Access Control Exception?

    - by iftrue
I'm trying to setup a tomcat6 server, and I'm trying to match another setup someone else established. However, my deployment (default Ubuntu install) uses a policy.d/ directory structure, and the established server just uses a catalina.policy file. I've tried setting every entry in policy.d to match the given catalina.policy, but I still get the following stacktrace on boot (from localhost log). I have two questions, then. First, how do I get tomcat to use a single poilcy file, rather than the directory structure presented by policy.d/? Secondly, why, when I specify all files to use the same policy, do I still get the stack trace below? Stack trace: SEVERE: Servlet /myapp threw load() exception java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission accessClassInPackage.org.apache.jasper) at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(AccessControlContext.java:342) at java.security.AccessController.checkPermission(AccessController.java:553) at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPermission(SecurityManager.java:549) at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPackageAccess(SecurityManager.java:1529) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:291) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:264) at org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1314) at org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1245) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:332) at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.init(JspServlet.java:100) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:616) at org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil$1.run(SecurityUtil.java:244) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at javax.security.auth.Subject.doAsPrivileged(Subject.java:537) at org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.execute(SecurityUtil.java:276) at org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.doAsPrivilege(SecurityUtil.java:162) at org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityUtil.doAsPrivilege(SecurityUtil.java:115) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.loadServlet(StandardWrapper.java:1166) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.load(StandardWrapper.java:992) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.loadOnStartup(StandardContext.java:4058) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.start(StandardContext.java:4367) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.addChildInternal(ContainerBase.java:791) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.access$000(ContainerBase.java:123) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase$PrivilegedAddChild.run(ContainerBase.java:145) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.addChild(ContainerBase.java:769) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.addChild(StandardHost.java:525) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployDirectory(HostConfig.java:978) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployDirectories(HostConfig.java:941) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployApps(HostConfig.java:499) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.start(HostConfig.java:1201) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.lifecycleEvent(HostConfig.java:318) at org.apache.catalina.util.LifecycleSupport.fireLifecycleEvent(LifecycleSupport.java:117) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.start(ContainerBase.java:1053) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.start(StandardHost.java:719) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.start(ContainerBase.java:1045) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngine.start(StandardEngine.java:443) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardService.start(StandardService.java:516) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardServer.start(StandardServer.java:710) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.start(Catalina.java:578) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:616) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.start(Bootstrap.java:288) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:616) at org.apache.commons.daemon.support.DaemonLoader.start(DaemonLoader.java:177) Policy.d grant codeBase "file:${java.home}/lib/-" { permission java.security.AllPermission; - by alex
I have a Windows 7 laptop, which i want to back up to a network folder. There is a drive (partition) on my laptop machine that i want to backup to a network drive- if i delete a file in the folder on my laptop, it should also be deleted from the backup... I used to use syncToy, however i understand this does not work correctly with windows 7 - at least not with a large number of files. Are there any alternatives?

  • How to make Windows 7 write to Samba shared folder?

    - by Jader Dias
I can access and read a Samba folder from Windows 7. I've been following some sites instructions: My Windows 7 is configured like told below: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/75-63-windows-samba-issue http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-server-73/windows-7-beta-1-and-samba-696990/ And my smb.conf has a shared folder, configured for do not require authentication, as the following site says so: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=658056 I also tried the following: chmod -R 775 sharedfolder chown -R someuser:somegroup sharedfolder in smb.conf : create mask = 0775 But I still get the message that I have no permission to write.

  • How do I get SELinux to allow Apache and Samba on the same folder?

    - by Josh
In the configuration I have setup I wish to allow samba and apache to access /var/www I am able to set a context to allow samba access, but then httpd doesn't have access. Using setenforce to 0 eliminates issues so I know that it is SELinux. In addition: How can I view the context of a folder, and can a folder have multiple contexts? (CentOS) Thank you, Josh

  • How can I unlock a folder locked by ‘System’ process on Windows Server 2008?

    - by ripper234
I'm on Windows Server 2008 64-bit. LockHunter identifies that a folder is locked by the "System" process. I'm not sure why this happens, but my bigger concern is how to unlock it. I'm looking for a solution that can be run from the command line. LockHunter itself is unable to unlock it. Also, Sysinternals' Process Explorer doesn't find the locked folder's handle. Rebooting is not an option either.

  • Can I right-click a folder in Windows 7 and choose "Open with Sublime Text"?

    - by George P. Burdell
In Windows 7, I can do this at the command line: "c:\Program Files\Sublime Text 2\sublime_text.exe" samplefolder This launches a Sublime Text window, with the contents of samplefolder loaded in Sublime's sidebar. While this works as needed, it's inconvenient to open a command prompt every single time. Is there any way I can add this behavior to Windows Explorer's right-click menu? I'd like to be able to right-click a folder and "Open with Sublime" just like I can right-click a folder and "Scan for viruses".

  • Folder Aliases in Dock or List View cannot be expanded?

    - by Chris
I have been increasingly frustrated with the fact that you cannot expand a folder alias in the Finder "List View" via the "expand triangle" or in the dock. If I add a folder to the dock that contains folders and aliases to other folders, I can drill-down the "real" folders, but cannot on the aliases. Does anyone know a way to make this work?

  • OS X 10.6 change folder Finder displays as Desktop?

    - by JT
Hi All, I know this is weird, but is there a .plist or key that I can edit to make the Finder use a different folder besides ~/Desktop for its Desktop folder? Why? Because I really like the BumpTop Desktop for Mac, but when I am not using it, I want my actual Finder Desktop to be of different contents. BumpTop only looks at ~/Desktop that I can tell.

  • How can I automatically delete /tmp folder on shared drive?

    - by Matt
We have a /tmp folder that people use for temporary stuff. It can be anything and any file. We want to make it so that this automatically deletes (or preferably MOVES to another folder on the same shared drive) all the files that haven't been accessed in the last two weeks. This should happen weekly on a schedule that I don't have to manually do. Is there software out there that does this? Anyone have a script possibly? Server 2008R2

  • How do I change the default backup folder in Win7?

    - by mafutrct
I'm using the built-in Windows Backup. The default destination folder (backup location\computer name\Backup Set year-month-day time) is unsuitable for me because I already have got some other files in that location and I'd prefer to keep them there. I found no way to change it. Is it possible to have a backup on the same partition but in a different folder? Or do I have to store backups on a different disk?

    - by Matt
Is there a way to set windows 2008 file and folder sharing permission so you only get prompted for a password on certain shares? That is, right now, when I got to \theserver\ I get prompted for a password despite having some shared folders that permit anonymous access. Is there a way, asides from setting the policy sharing model to guest rather than Classic to allow a user from a non-domain pc to go to \theserver\ and see the shares and permit him or her to enter a folder with anonymous access without having to enter a username or password?

  • How put both sent messages and received messages in an archive folder in Mail.app?

    - by Paperflyer
I have an archive folder that contains all messages I ever received on my mail account. The mail account is not a Gmail account. One thing I love about Gmail is that the threaded view not only shows messages I received but also messages I sent. The only piece missing in this puzzle is the possibility for Mail.app to store a copy of all sent messages in my archive folder or to otherwise combine these two folders. Is this possible?
