  • Corporate tech blogs?

    I'm trying to convince my emplyer, a small startup, to setup a blog for the engineers to write about interesting topic in technology we use daily. This would be a separate blog than the one dedicated for product and marketing stuff. I was thinking about something like Joel's blog but focused more on actual code rather than management. Do you know of any successful existing blogs like that? Tech blogs run by the employees of a company?

  • Does DFP Small Business allow geotargeting?

    I'm working with a blog that has an advertiser who can only show ads for US/UK... so I'd like to set up an ad server that will show those advertiser's ads for US/UK customers, and then show Google Adsense ads for all other countries. It seems like DFP Small Business (Google's free ad server product) will do the job for all of this, but I'm not 100% certain it allows geotargeting as I've described. Is that possible?

  • Transparent menus in gnome shell

    How do I make menus look transparent in Gnome-shell? In unity, I use ubuntu-tweak to do this(In ubuntu tweak , Go to Desktop-Compiz settings and then select Enable transparent menus option). Since compiz is no longer being used in gnome-shell, this is not working any more . Any alternatives ? I love gnome-shell but I am still missing some awesome features of compiz like "wobbly windows" and other desktop effects!

    I upgraded my Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10 and my Wifi has stopped working. I have a Lenovo Z560 that has Intel centrino wireless-N 1000. I have searched various threads having similar problems for a solution and have no success. The wlan0 is not even showing up in rfkill. Please help me find a solution.     Hi, everyone: It's been a little over two weeks since the end of Oracle Open World 2012, and hope everyone has recovered sufficiently.  We have seen a tremendous amount of coverage on Oracle ADF Mobile during this Oracle Open World.  For starters, ADF Mobile demo booth was positioned in the Oracle Red Lounge in Moscone North, where all new and innovative technologies are being demonstrated.  The booth is liternally out front and the first booth in the area, and we had a lot of interested attendees talking to us.  It feels like ADF Mobile has finally arrived on the big stage.   • Image hotlinking providers?

    I use a lot of images in my wordpress and due to hosting restrictions I need to host the images somewhere else and hotlink them in my blog posts. So I am looking for some reliable image host which provides free hotlinking service. The Google Picasa would be best, but I think they do not allow hotlinking. PS. I'm not looking for hosts like tinypic or imgshack, I'm looking for some websites which provides powerful features to oranize images (eg. albums etc).
