• Unable to forward UITouch events to my view controller

    - by hyn
I have a UISplitViewController setup with a custom view added as a subview of the view (UILayoutContainerView) of split view controller. I am trying to forward touch events from my custom view controller to the master and detail views, but the following (which was suggested here on another thread) seems to have no effect: - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { UITouch *touch = [touches anyObject]; // Do something [self.nextResponder touchesBegan:touches withEvent:event]; } (I couldn't get this formatted properly) As a result my custom view controller locks the events and all the UI underneath never has a chance to do anything. How can I get my master and detail view controllers to receive events?

  • Conflict between two Javascripts (MailChimp validation etc. scripts & jQuery hSlides.js)

    - by Brian
I have two scripts running on the same page, one is the jQuery.hSlides.js script http://www.jesuscarrera.info/demos/hslides/ and the other is a custom script that is used for MailChimp list signup integration. The hSlides panel can be seen in effect here: http://theatricalbellydance.com. I've turned off the MailChimp script because it was conflicting with the hSlides script, causing it not to to fail completely (as seen here http://theatricalbellydance.com/home2/). Can someone tell me what could be done to the hSlides script to stop the conflict with the MailChimp script? The MailChimp Script var fnames = new Array(); var ftypes = new Array(); fnames[0] = 'EMAIL'; ftypes[0] = 'email'; fnames[3] = 'MMERGE3'; ftypes[3] = 'text'; fnames[1] = 'FNAME'; ftypes[1] = 'text'; fnames[2] = 'LNAME'; • Is is possible to programmatically change the resourceProviderFactoryType?

    - by Robert Massa
I have a custom implementation of IResourceProvider and ResourceProviderFactory. Now the default way of making sure ASP.NET uses these custom types is to use the web.config and specify the factory like so: <globalization resourceProviderFactoryType="Product.Globalization.TranslationResourceProviderFactory" /> This works perfectly, except that in my resource provider I need database access. I want to use my IoC-container(Ninject) to inject the repositories needed to access this data into the CustomResourceProvider. But how am I going to do this? I have no control over the instantiation of the factory, so the factory can't get a reference to my IoC. Is there any way to register a custom provider programmatically, in for example the Global.asax?

  • DataAnnotations in ASP.NET MVC 2 - Stop MVC from applying RequiredAttribute to Non-nullable DateTime

    - by jwwishart
Im trying to create a custom version of the RequiredAttribute to replace the built in one and I've got it working for properties that have strings values, but with properties that are DateTime or integer for example, the default RequiredAttribute seems to be applied automatically (IF the property is not nullable!) My problem is that i want to be able to specify a DateTime property as required using my custom required validator which gets the error message from a resources file (I don't want to have to tell the RequiredAttribute the type of the resource file and the key every time i apply it. That is why I'm making a custom one.) How can i prevent the framework from applying the required attribute to properties of type DateTime and int etc without changing them to nullable. Thanks

  • Why can I query with an int but not a string here? PHP MySQL Datatypes

    - by CT
I am working on an Asset Database problem. I receive $id from $_GET["id"]; I then query the database and display the results. This works if my id is an integer like "93650" but if it has other characters like "wci1001", it displays this MySQL error: Unknown column 'text' in 'where clause' All fields in tables are of type: VARCHAR(50) What would I need to do to be able to use this query to search by id that includes other characters? • Possible: Set Operations on Disparate Maps with Same Key Type?

    - by Catskul
Let's say I have two maps: typedef int Id; std::map<Id, std::string> idToStringMap; std::map<Id, double> idToDoubleMap; And let's say I would like to do a set operation on the keys of the two maps. Is there an easier way to do this than to create a custom "inserter" iterator? such that I could do something like: std::set
resultSet; set_difference( idToStringMap.begin(), idToStringMap.end(), idToDoubleMap.begin(), idToDoubleMap.end(), resultSet.begin() ); My experimentation results imply that it will be necessary to create a custom inserter and perhaps a custom key comparer to do this, but I want for some insight/shortcut before doing so.

  • AIR:- Desktop Application related to Window Component (Need some work around)

    - by Mahesh Parate
Create custom component which contains Combobox and Datagrid. Application conations two button 1) Same Window and 2) New Window. (Label of two button) When you click on “Same Window” button your custom component should get added dynamically in your application. And when you click on “New Window” button your custom component should get open in different window (it should get shifted from application and should appear in Window component). Issue faced:- Clicking on Combobox, list is not getting open as change event doesn’t get fired in Native Window as it looses reference from main application. Issue with DataGrid in Native window (AIR). • DataGridEvent.COLUMN_STRETCH event get affected if try to open datagrid in Native Window. • DataGridEvent get fired but takes long time or even stuck while column stretch Note: Application is an Desktop Application. Only one instance is created in Application for your custom component to preserve current state on your custom component it can be Style, data, or other subcomponent state of your custom component (as above mentioned 2 component are just sample). Please find sample code below:- DataGridStretchIssue.mxml:- < ?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"? < mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" xmlns:local="*" width="800" height="500" < mx:Script < ![CDATA[ import mx.events.FlexEvent; import mx.core.Window; private var dgComp:DataGridComp = new DataGridComp(); private var win:Window; private function clickHandler(event:Event):void{ dgComp.percentWidth = 100; dgComp.percentHeight = 100; dgComp.x = 50; dgComp.y = 100; if(win){ win.close(); } this.addChild(dgComp); } private function openClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void{ dgComp.x = 50; dgComp.y = 100; win = new Window();; win.width = 800; win.height = 500; win.addChild(dgComp); dgComp.percentWidth = 100; dgComp.percentHeight = 100; dgComp.x = 50; dgComp.y = 100; win.open(true) } < /mx:Script < mx:HBox <mx:Button id="btnID" click="clickHandler(event)" label="Same Window"/> <mx:Button id="btnIDOpen" click="openClickHandler(event)" label="New Window"/> < /mx:HBox < /mx:WindowedApplication DataGridComp.mxml < ?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"? < mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="100%" height="100%" <mx:Script> import mx.events.DataGridEvent; import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; [Bindable] public var cards:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection( [ {label:"Visa", data:1}, {label:"MasterCard", data:2}, {label:"American Express", data:3} ]); private function stretchFn(event:DataGridEvent):void{ trace("--- Stretched---") } </mx:Script> <mx:HBox> <mx:ComboBox dataProvider="{cards}" width="150"/> <mx:DataGrid columnStretch="stretchFn(event)" > <mx:ArrayCollection> <mx:Object> <mx:Artist>Pavement</mx:Artist> <mx:Price>11.99</mx:Price> <mx:Album>Slanted and Enchanted</mx:Album> </mx:Object> <mx:Object> <mx:Artist>Pavement</mx:Artist> <mx:Album>Brighten the Corners</mx:Album> <mx:Price>11.99</mx:Price> </mx:Object> </mx:ArrayCollection> </mx:DataGrid> </mx:HBox> < /mx:Canvas Can any one suggest me some work around to make my code workable... :)

  • Web Setup Project - Getting the Current Machine Name

    - by Shane Kenney
I've got a web setup project with a custom screen in it that asks for a machine name. Is there anyway to prepopulate this field with the current machines name? For the case that I need it for just including "Localhost" does not meet my requirements. "Environment.MachineName" will return the machine name within a code block which would be fine if I was needing it in a custom action. But it seems custom actions don't excecute until after you go through the installation wizard... So I cant actually use it. Anyway let me know what you think.

  • Views jump during ViewDidLoad

    - by Jon-Paul
Hi, I have a custom button, subclassed from UIButton that is initialised as below (obviously all the button does is use a custom font). @implementation HWButton - (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder *)decoder { if (self = [super initWithCoder: decoder]) { [self.titleLabel setFont:[UIFont fontWithName: @"eraserdust" size: self.titleLabel.font.pointSize]]; } return self; } So far so good. But when I use the custom class in my nib and launch the app, the button initially displays for a split second as tiny with small text, then grows. So the outcome is what I want, but I don't want to see the transition. Can anyone put me right? Thanks. JP

  • Jquery - add server control

    - by superexsl
Hey, I'm having trouble with a custom control and adding it dynamically using JQuery. I've got the following code: $('.custom_control_div').replaceWith( "
<cc:mycustomcontrol id='cControl' ></cc:mycustomcontrol>
" ); This doesn't throw any errors, but doesn't work because I need to use runat=server in my custom control. However, if I add runat=server in the code above, no javascript is executed on the page (and jqueryUI no longer works). The custom control works fine when I add it directly to the page from design-time. Is there a way to add a control, with runat=server using Jquery? Thanks

  • Customizing the behavior of ControlDesigners for Controls derived from native .NET controls.

    - by Eric
My question is related to this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/93541/baseline-snaplines-in-custom-winforms-controls However, in my case, I have created a new control that derives from TextBox rather than containing a TextBox. I would like to have a custom ControlDesigner, but I would like to modify the behavior of the TextBox's designer rather than having to write a complete designer myself. In particular, I'd like to be able to return the TextBox's SnapLines while providing some custom verbs. Is there a good way to do this? EDIT: To clarify, this is for Windows Forms in .NET 2.0.

How to I force the same width for all three buttons so it doesn't look like crap? <s:ButtonBar x="10" y="10" dataProvider="{viewstack1}" > <s:layout> <s:VerticalLayout gap="-1"/> </s:layout> </s:ButtonBar> <mx:ViewStack id="viewstack1" left="115" paddingRight="0" right="0" bottom="0" top="0"> <s:NavigatorContent label="ABC Products" width="100%" height="100%"><custom:Banner width="100%" height="100%"/></s:NavigatorContent> <s:NavigatorContent label="Btn Player" width="100%" height="100%"><custom:Player /></s:NavigatorContent> <s:NavigatorContent label="Btn Cleaner" width="100%" height="100%"><custom:Cleaner width="100%"/></s:NavigatorContent> </mx:ViewStack>

  • How to log messages to a log file in a specific path from a bash script

    - by Erik
How do you log messages to a log file in a specific path from a bash script? A naive implementation would be commands like: echo My message >>/my/custom/path/to/my_script.log But this probably has many disadvantages (no log rotation for example). I could use the 'logger' command, but it does not support logs in custom paths as far as I know and is not easy to configure if you have lots of bash scripts that could use a custom log file. In a scripting language like Ruby all this is quite easy: https://github.com/rudionrails/yell/wiki/101-the-datefile-adapter I could also make my own logger command based on this ruby library and call it from my bash scripts, but I guess there is already a well known solution that provides similar behavior for shell scripts?

  • Should I use Drupal or Kohana-type framework for a web "application"

    - by Andres
The debate is that I need a PHP Framework/Drupal with the flexibility to add custom features to a potentially large application (web and with an api). However, with a framework, like Kohana, I see myself tackling and re-inventing the wheel with the simple stuff like account management and cms stuff. Account management and quick data collection, like fast form creation, are tedious in Kohana but appear incredible simple in Drupal. On the other hand, based on my limited Drupal experience, I doubt building rapid custom "features" and allowing users to create "groups" and to manage their own roles within those groups is something Drupal can easily accomplish. To simplify, is Drupal capable of true Web Applications; where the application is a service and provides custom results to each user? Can it provide a dashboard-like interface for users to change their settings or preferences? Can it aggregate data from particular users to provide better results/info to others? If so, please point me to some knowledge :-)

  • Plugin architecture in .net: unloading

    - by henchman
Hello everybody, I need to implement a plugin architecture within c#/.net in order to load custom user defined actions data type handling code for a custom data grid / conversion / ... from non-static linked assembly files. Because the application has to handle many custom user defined actions, Iam in need for unloading them once executed in order to reduce memory usage. I found several good articles about plugin architectures, eg: ExtensionManager PluginArchitecture ... but none of them gave me enough sausage for properly unloading an assembly. As the program is to be distributed and the user defined actions are (as the name states) user defined: how to i prevent the assembly from executing malicious code (eg. closing my progra, deleting files)? Are there any other pitfalls one of you has encountered?

  • Convert jpg Byte[] to Texture2D

    - by Damien Sawyer
I need to import jpeg images into a WP7/XNA app with associated metadata. The program which manages these images exports to an XML file with an encoded byte[] of the jpg files. I've written a custom importer/processor which successfully imports the reserialized objects into my XNA project. My question is, given the byte[] of the jpg, what is the best way to convert it back to Texture2D. // 'Standard' method for importing image Texture2D texture1 = Content.Load<Texture2D>("artwork"); // Uses the standard Content processor "Texture - XNA Framework" to import an image. // 'Custom' method var myCustomObject = Content.Load<CompiledBNBImage>("gamedata"); // Uses my custom content Processor to return POCO "CompiledBNBImage" byte[] myJPEGByteArray = myCustomObject.Image; // byte[] of jpeg Texture2D texture2 = ???? // What is the best way to convert myJPEGByteArray to a Texture2D? Thanks very much for your help. :-) DS

  • How can I dynamically override a classes "each" method?

    - by rewbs
Groovy adds each() and a number of other methods to java.lang.Object. I can't figure out how to use the Groovy metaclass to dynamically replace the default each() on a Java class. I can see how to add new methods: MyJavaClass.metaClass.myNewMethod = { closure -> /* custom logic */ } new MyJavaClass().myNewMethod { item -> println item } // runs custom logic But it seems the same approach doesn't work when overriding methods: MyJavaClass.metaClass.each = { closure -> /* custom logic */ } new MyJavaClass().each { item -> println item } // runs Object.each() What am I doing wrong? How can I dynamically override each() in Groovy?

  • Androd ListView style

    - by xger86x
Hi, i have a question about list views. I hope anyone knows the solution because i have been trying to solve this problem all the weekend. Well, i have a custom list view in which every row have a custom .xml (item_row.xml) with a set color background for the row item. <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="70dip" android:orientation="vertical" android:background="@drawable/list_bg"> The problem is when i try to make a selector for the list. I want two things: When the item is focused, appears the typical orange rectangle over him. When the item is pressed the same. I have proved with a selector and a custom style but all i get is or the selector doesn't appear or the selector covering the item so i can't see it. If anyone can give me the right code i will be very grateful. Thanks

  • UITabBarController "More" tab issues

    - by codemonkey
I've got a UITabBarController with 7 tabs. Each of the 7 tabs has its own UINavigationController and customizes its toolbar. When a view is loaded via the UITabBarController's "More" menu its custom toolbar isn't appearing. If i switch the order of the views around so that the same view is now accessible from the UITabBar without going through the "More" menu then the custom toolbar shows up like it's supposed to. Is there a way to customize a NavigationController's toolbar when that NavigationController is loaded via the "More" menu of a TabBarController? I'm actually also interested in replacing the "More" menu navigation controller with my own custom one on views loaded via the "More" menu... not sure whether that's even possible. Any feedback will be appreciated.

  • Feature activate via UI but does not show in the Libraries and Lists

    - by Justin Cullen
I am really hating SharePoint as there are hardly any good/concrete documentation. I developed custom List "MainCatalog" with few columns (not site columns). Create features and elements with MOSS feature builder at Site collection level so scope="site" installed via stsadm activated via UI "went to site collection website", Site Setting Site collection Feature (and saw my custom list "MainCatalog") and was able to activate. then went to "mySiteCollection Site Settings Site Libraries and Lists " My list is showing But it shows in the "mySiteCollection Create Custom Lists "MainCatalog" I guess it's showing there as a template... But my intention is to deploy this list from development to test environment. EXTREMELY STRESSED. I AM ON THIS FOR LAST 8 DAYS.....

  • Alignment of View Elements within a LinearLayout

    - by Adam
I hate to ask this question; for some reason I can't figure it out on my own. I have a vertical LinearLayout that contains a custom View that I've defined in my app and and a TextView. I'd like my custom View to be aligned on the top of the screen and the TextView to be aligned at the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, no matter what changes I make to the attributes of the XML file, my custom View always seems to be centered vertically when I run the emulator. The xml is like the following: <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:gravity="top"> <CustomView android:id="@+id/customID" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" tileSize="24" android:focusableInTouchMode="true" android:layout_gravity="top"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/text" android:text="@string/droidtactoe_layout_text" android:visibility="visible" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center_horizontal" android:textSize="24sp" android:textColor="#00000000" android:layout_gravity="bottom"/> </LinearLayout>

  • on click checkbox set input attr

    - by Tommy Arnold
html form with 4 columns the first 2 columns are the sizes inside input boxes with disabled ='disabled', when they click radio button to select a size a checkbox appears, when they click that checkbox I would like to change the class and disabled attr of the inputs on that table row to allow them to edit the input box

Width

Height

Price

Select

<input type="text" disabled='disabled'value="200"/> CMS

<input disabled='disabled'type="text" value="500"/> CMS

£50.00

Customise

200

1000

£100.00

Customise

200

1500

£150

Customise

Width

Height

Price

200

500

£50.00

Customise

200

1000

£100.00

Customise

200

1500

£150

Customise

CSS input[type=checkbox] { display: none; } input[type=checkbox].shown { display: inline; } input .edit{ border:1px solid red; } input[disabled='disabled'] { border:0px; width:60px; padding:5px; float:left; background:#fff; } span{float:left; width:30px; padding:5px;} Jquery $("body :checkbox").hide(); // The most obvious way is to set radio-button click handlers for each table separatly: $("#product1 :radio").click(function() { $("#product1 :checkbox").hide(); $("#product1 .cbox").hide(); $(this).parent().children(":checkbox").show(); $(this).parent().children(".cbox").show(); }); $("#product2 :radio").click(function() { $("#product2 :checkbox").hide(); $("#product2 .cbox").hide(); $(this).parent().children(":checkbox").show(); $(this).parent().children(".cbox").show(); }); This is what I thought but its not working $("#product1 :checkbox").click(function(){ $(this).parent("tr").children("td :input").attr('disabled',''); $(this).parent("tr").children("td :input").toggleClass(edit); }); $("#product2 :checkbox").click(function(){ $(this).parent("tr").children("td :input").attr('disabled',''); $(this).parent("tr").children("td :input").toggleClass(edit); }); Thanks in advance for any help.

  • How to implement a Google-chrome-like title bar for Java SWT application

    - by MartyC
I have inherited development of a Java/SWT application running on Windows only. One of the feature requests that I need to scope is a Google-chrome-type title bar in place of the SWT windows title bar. The application's tabs appear at the same level as the window control buttons. My understanding is that I will need to: write a Windows widget capable of rendering the custom look and managing tabs as opposed to menus. expose the Windows widget as a dll for use in Java via JNI write a custom SWT widget to wrap it and expose the tab management interface. I have a lot of experience with Java programming, GUI programming with Swing/AWT, and non-GUI C# programming. Windows GUI programming and SWT are new to me so I'm not sure where to start. The best I have found so far is a 2001 article on writing your own SWT widget. My biggest unknown is the best way to implement a custom Windows application-window.
