• Ubuntu 12.04 Hangs with Software Center open then opening Dash Home

    - by Josea
I have a Dell D610 - Intel graphics - 1 Gig RAM. I have test the hard drive and RAM and both are fine. When I open Software Center, then Dash home my system locks up. The mouse cursor moves but is unresponsive if I try to right or left click anything. The keyboard is totally unresponsive and I have to hold the power button to power off! I have reinstalled from CD, did all updates but the issue persists. I tried using the track pad only, and I plugged in an external mouse also but no change. Everything else works great ! I am sick of running Vista and have no love for Metro! Thanks for any suggestions, on a scale of 1 to 10 (Newbie - Expert) I am about 3

  • iphone - direct link to iPhone review form from inside iphone

    - by Mike
I am trying to link directly to the review link of one of my Apps. I know that it is possible because Appirater did it in the past, but some change in iTunes turned the API down. Appirater uses this URL NSString *templateReviewURL = @"itms-apps://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?id=APP_ID&onlyLatestVersion=true&pageNumber=0&sortOrdering=1&type=Purple+Software"; where APP_ID is the ID of an application. running this from inside the APP gives me the message Cannot Connect to iTunes Store. This Page talks about another kind of link https://userpub.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZUserPublishing.woa/wa/addUserReview?id=APP_ID&type=Purple+Software and also itms-apps://ax.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewContentsUserReviews?type=Purple+Software&id=APP_ID The first one works, but just from the desktop mac. The second gives me the same error as the first... Cannot Connect to iTunes Store. iTunes link maker is not helping too, because it has no tools for iPad links... Do you guys know how to link to an app's review form from inside an app? In case you don't know, what kind of package should I use to dig this? a package sniffer? thanks for any help.

  • [WPF] Custom TabItem in TabControl

    - by Simon
I've created CustomTabItem which inherits from TabItem and i'd like to use it while binding ObservableCollection in TabControl <TabControl ItemsSource="{Binding MyObservableCollection}"/> It should like this in XAML, but i do not know how change default type of the output item created by TabControl while binding. I've tried to create converter, but it has to do something like this inside convertin method: List<CustomTabItem> resultList = new List<CustomTabItem>(); And iterate through my input ObservableCollection, create my CustomTab based on item from collection and add it to resultList... I'd like to avoid it, bacause while creating CustomTabItem i'm creating complex View and it takes a while, so i don't want to create it always when something change in binded collection. My class extends typical TabItem and i'd like to use this class in TabControl instead of TabItem. <TabControl.ItemContainerStyle> </TabControl.ItemContainerStyle> Code above generates error that Style cannot be applied to TabItem. My main purpose is to use in XAML my own CustomTabItem and bind properties... Just like above... I've also tried to use <TabControl.ItemTemplate/> <TabControl.ContentTemaplte/> But they are just styles for TabItem, so i'll still be missing my properties wchich i added in my custom class.

  • Getting rid of scroll bar for position: absolute inside of position:relative inside of overflow:auto

    - by Marcos
Hey guys, my first question here on stack overflow. Trying to get something pretty simple to work, I'm sure I'm missing something quite obvious. Still getting used to the "standard" css, too many years working with non-functional ones! Heh. So, sample of what I'm doing:
hello

New

Old

In essence: The first div is a container, that I would like to automatically overflow as content is added. Inside of that container, I have a popup menu, which I have simplified here. The popup menu appears (as it should) directly under "hello". My problem, however, is that instead of the popup menu "coming out" of the parent, as would be expected by the absolute position, it is actually causing a scrollbar to appear on the parent. I know that if I take otu the "position: relative" it works, but then it no longer appars where I want it (directly under the previous element). What am I missing here? EDIT: Sample here: http://marcos.metx.net/OverflowTest.htm

  • Dynamically created LinkButton not firing any events

    - by Brent
I'm customising the Group Headers on a Telerik RadGrid by injecting a LinkButton into it during the ItemDataBound event. The button renders perfectly, but I can't get it to hit any event handlers. Here is the code for the button creation: Private Sub rgWorkRequestItemCosts_ItemDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As Telerik.Web.UI.GridItemEventArgs) Handles rgWorkRequestItemCosts.ItemDataBound If TypeOf e.Item Is GridGroupHeaderItem Then Dim oItem As GridGroupHeaderItem = DirectCast(e.Item, GridGroupHeaderItem) Dim lnkAdd As New LinkButton() lnkAdd.ID = "lnkAdd" lnkAdd.CommandName = "CustomAddWorkRequestItemCost" lnkAdd.CommandArgument = DirectCast(oItem.DataItem, DataRowView).Row("nWorkRequestItemID").ToString() lnkAdd.Text = String.Format("<img style=""border:0px"" alt="""" width=""12"" src=""{0}"" /> Add new cost", ResolveUrl(String.Format("~/App_Themes/{0}/Grid/AddRecord.gif", Page.Theme))) lnkAdd.Style("color") = "#000000" lnkAdd.Style("text-decoration") = "none" AddHandler lnkAdd.Click, AddressOf lnkAdd_Click Dim tcPlaceholder As GridTableCell = DirectCast(oItem.Controls(1), GridTableCell) Dim litText As New LiteralControl(String.Format(" {0}", tcPlaceholder.Text)) tcPlaceholder.Text = String.Empty tcPlaceholder.Controls.Add(lnkAdd) tcPlaceholder.Controls.Add(litText) End If End Sub This code explicitly adds a handler for the LinkButton, but that handler is never hit. I've also tried events on the RadGrid (ItemCommand, ItemEvent) but none seem to get hit. Has anyone got any suggestions of other events to try, or ways to make this work? Thanks!

  • Android SeekBar Minimum and Continuous Float Value Attributes

    - by fordays
I'm looking for a way to implement a minimum value in my SeekBar and also have the option to increment decimal numbers. For example, currently my SeekBar's minimum is set to 0, but I need it to start at the value 0.2. Also, I would like to have the functionality to be able to have the user select a number from 0.2 to 10.0 at a .1 precision so they can choose the numbers 5.6 or 7.1. Here are the style attributes for my SeekBar:

  • ASP.Net Panel JQuery SlideToggle Postback

    - by Germ
I have an asp.net panel with a style which hides it and I'm using JQuery to slideToggle the panel using a hyperlink. This works fine. However, if I add a button on the page that causes a postback the panel will default back to hidden. I understand why this is happening but what is the best way to keep the panels visibility state when a postback occurs?

  <asp:HyperLink ID="Link1" runat="server" NavigateUrl="#">SlideToggle </asp:HyperLink>
<asp:Panel ID="panelText" runat="server" CssClass="panel"> Some text</asp:Panel> <asp:Button ID="button1" runat="server" Text="Postback" />

  • How to return DropDownList selections dynamically in C#?

    - by salvationishere
    This is probably a simple question but I am developing a web app in C# with DropDownList. Currently it is working for just one DropDownList. But now that I modified the code so that number of DropDownLists that should appear is dynamic, it gives me error; "The name 'ddl' does not exist in the current context." The reason for this error is that there a multiple instances of 'ddl' = number of counters. So how do I instead return more than one 'ddl'? Like what return type should this method have instead? And how do I return these values? Reason I need it dynamic is I need to create one DropDownList for each column in whatever Adventureworks table they select. private DropDownList CreateDropDownLists() { for (int counter = 0; counter < NumberOfControls; counter++) { DropDownList ddl = new DropDownList(); SqlDataReader dr2 = ADONET_methods.DisplayTableColumns(targettable); ddl.ID = "DropDownListID" + (counter + 1).ToString(); int NumControls = targettable.Length; DataTable dt = new DataTable(); dt.Load(dr2); ddl.DataValueField = "COLUMN_NAME"; ddl.DataTextField = "COLUMN_NAME"; ddl.DataSource = dt; ddl.ID = "DropDownListID 1"; ddl.SelectedIndexChanged += new EventHandler(ddlList_SelectedIndexChanged); ddl.DataBind(); ddl.AutoPostBack = true; ddl.EnableViewState = true; //Preserves View State info on Postbacks //ddlList.Style["position"] = "absolute"; //ddl.Style["top"] = 80 + "px"; //ddl.Style["left"] = 0 + "px"; dr2.Close(); } return ddl; }

Stack: /google/appengine/datastore/datastore_rpc.py:951 make_rpc_call() /google/appengine/datastore/datastore_query.py:993 _make_query_result_rpc_call() /google/appengine/datastore/datastore_query.py:714 run_async() /google/appengine/datastore/datastore_query.py:685 run() /google/appengine/api/datastore.py:1281 GetBatcher() /google/appengine/api/datastore.py:1351 Get() /google/appengine/ext/db/init.py:1831 fetch() /google/appengine/ext/db/init.py:1778 get() /apps/fbapp/fbutil.py:232 oauth_load_fb_user() /apps/fbapp/fbutil.py:84 require_account() the error message for appengine source: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: u'/Applications/GoogleAppEngineLauncher.app/Contents/Resources/GoogleAppEngine-default.bundle/Contents/Resources/google_appengine/lib/ipaddr/google/appengine/datastore/datastore_rpc.py' the error message for my source: IOError [Errno 2] No such file or directory: u'/Applications/GoogleAppEngineLauncher.app/Contents/Resources/GoogleAppEngine-default.bundle/Contents/Resources/google_appengine/lib/antlr3/apps/fbapp/fbutil.py' I guess this was path problem and found some official comment from google. If your request handlers modify sys.path, you must make the same modifications to sys.path in appengine_config.py so the Appstats web interface can see all files. Actually I'm using appengine_django and two path was inserted to sys.path. I did it same again at appengine_django.py but also failed. Maybe some custom setting with appengine_config.py can solve this problem but doesn't figure out how to fix it. What can I do?

  • Conditional alternative table row styles in HTML5

    - by Budda
Is there any changes regarding this questions Conditional alternative table row styles since HTML5 came in? Here is a copy of original question: Is it possible to style alternate table rows without defining classes on alternate tags? With the following table, can CSS define alternate row styles WITHOUT having to give the alternate rows the class "row1/row2"? row1 can be default, so row2 is the issue.

Thanks a lot!

  • Need help unformatting text

    - by Axilus
I am currently programming a Visual C# service to receive emails from various sources then I take certain info and organize it in a database using Regex to retrieve the deferent cell values (such as header, body, problem, cost, etc.etc.). My problem is that I am currently using a Hotmail account to email the service which the service then extracts data and writes it to a csv file; however this is all going fine an dandy except for the fact that the text is formated so when there is a "\n" or something of the sort, the program decides to not input the data that follows that into the cell. For instance, if I emailed this: Cost:$1000.00 Body: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed vulputate mattis dolor, a dapibus turpis lacinia mollis. Fusce in enim nulla, sit amet gravida dolor. Suspendisse at nisi velit, vel ornare odio. Integer metus justo, imperdiet et pellentesque in, facilisis dignissim metus. Suspendisse potenti.
