• How to monitor "check-in/push-es" to a central Mercurial repository?

  If I set up a central Mercurial Repository where certain people are allowed to push to it, what convenient way can I monitor the changes going into that repository? I'm used to using SVN-Monitor for Subversion. It runs in the task-bar and lets me know whenever something new has been checked in to the repository. Is there a similar solution for Mercurial ?

• Asp.net Ajax SlideShowExtender won't load images on server?

  You can see from the comments on this page that people are having trouble loading images on a server, but they load ok on localhost. Do you have any idea why this would not work? The page and control appear ok otherwise, just no images. Someone must have figured this out by now?

  Hi everyone, Was wondering if you can distribute your App to other developers in your team through iTunes. I guess you would upload the App as a beta version through iTunes Connect and anyone with a provisioned iPhone would receive the update. I didn't think it was possible but someone told me they were sure you could.   When you create and use a Web Service proxy class in the ASP.Net framework, the class ultimately inherits from Component, which implements IDisposable. I have never seen one example online where people dispose of a web proxy class, but was wondering if it really needs to be done. When I call only one method, I normally wrap it in a using statement, but if I have a need to call it several times throughout the page, I might end up using the same instance, and just wondered what the ramifications are of not disposing it.

So when a member of the group reach this place (using location position with the cell phone), he receives all the messages for this location. • Git/SVN for asp.net development instead of VSS?

  At work, we are using ASP.net 2.0 and VSS. VSS is a beast, we are continually having issues with people checking out files and there is no branching - makes it crazy. I know SVN/GIT is mainly used by open source developers, are there any downsides to ASP.NET developers using it? I have been pushing for SVN internally, but am thinking GIT might also be a great option. Our team is spread across 3 continents.
