    I have never worked on ejb, when I started programming Spring was already arrived and all my projects have been with Spring only, recently I had one interview and they wanted knowledge of EJB3.0 and so I want to know how does EJB3.0 stack up with Spring Framework and why many projects now a day are with Spring Framework and not with EJB3.0, do not quote me here as I can be wrong I would really appreciate if difference and benefits of using one over another could be explained from practical perspective.

  • Change an autoincrementing field to one previous

    One day, wordpress suddenly jumped from pots id 9110 to 890000000 post. Days later I'd like to move back new posts to continue from id 9111. I'm sure that id will never reach id 890000000, no problem here, but id is an autoincrement field and "ALTER TABLE wp8_posts AUTO_INCREMENT =9111" is not working. Can I force id to continue from 9111 ?

I tried doing it like this: public IList<Authority> GetAuthoritiesByType(int id) { ICriteria criteria = Session.CreateCriteria(typeof (Authority)); criteria.Add(Restrictions.Eq("Type.Id", id)); IList<Authority> authorities = criteria.List<Authority>(); return authorities; } However, I'm getting an error that something is wrong with the SQL ("could not execute query". The innerexception is following: {"Invalid column name 'TypeFk'.\r\nInvalid column name 'TypeFk'."} Any advice ? Any other approach ? Best wishes, Andrew

At the end of the day (or, development cycle), I'd like to be able to hit a switch and have it all sync over to Amazon AWS hosting (EC2, S3) - instances, databases, files, configurations, and all. I enjoyed going from CF to PHP, but I feel like I am getting a bit stale. I have been looking at different things like Ruby, Python, Obj C (iPhone).     I am reading the Head First PHP/Mysql book and they say to store both the user's username, email into cookies and sessions. Is it safe to assume that everyone know a day has cookies? Or should I store both in sessions and cookies? I am not storing any sensitive data in cookies such as password, etc.
