I wanted to also convert to an mp4 format that will "stream" to an iphone and blackberry, or allowed to be downloaded to either, for later viewing. • iphone sdk - why is the video returned not full res?

  im developing an app for the iphone and im able to get a video using a UIImagePickerController the problem is that the video thats returned by the UIImagePickerControllerMediaURL is not full resoultion -- its only 480 x 360 as opposed to 640 x 480 like the videos that sync to my itunes. -please someone tell me this is not a limitation of the current sdk? - how can i work around it and is there a way to set the uiimage picker so its taking full res video?

  so this is really weird to me but my code works properly for getting the geolocation if I run my code locally in the simulator, If I have the code on my server it does not work in the simulator, yet the same url and code on my server works on my actual iphone?   I have a number of separate COM+ applications that I have to figure out; The COM+ applications respond to a number of scheduled tasks, and I need to know which COM components within which applications are being used when I execute each of these tasks. It is easy to figure out what (if anything) goes wrong in the event log, but as I am working on testing each components compatibility with the others; I need to know which ones I have actually tested by executing the scheduled tasks. Does anyone have some useful tips here? I've been looking into the sysinternals tools, and specifically processmonitor, but I have not found a way to make it monitor the COM+ applications yet. (I initially started this question here, but realized it's probably more suited for serverfault)

  I remember running into this problem when I started using OpenGL in OS X. Eventually I solved it, but I think that was just by using glut and c++ instead of Objective-C... The lines of code I have in init for the ES1Renderer are as follows: glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); glDepthFunc(GL_LEQUAL); Then in the render method, I have this: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); I assume I'm missing something specific to either the iPhone or ES. What other steps are required to enable the depth test? Thanks

  If you look at the Notes app on the iPad, you can see it uses all native iPhone controls, but they're "skinned" to look like a pad of paper. What's the best way to implement something similar to that? Could I use interface builder and simply change the background image for each of the controls, including the TableViews?
