  • Disable Code analysis warnings .NET

    In visual studios i can run code analysis on my .NET project. I am running basic correctness and have 85 warnings. Which is a little much. Also majority of them are in external code. How do i disable specific warnings so i can focus on the more important warnings? I tried the below but it does not recognize code analysis warnings. (I first tried w/o the CA) #pragma warning disable CA1820 CA1065 CA2100

  • No postback on any button click on ASP.NET 4.0 application

    The weird thing is If there is a javascript onClick() on a button, postback works otherwise, there is no postback. This was working very recently. I am not sure what recent changes made to the application made this happening throughout the site. The solution suggested by this link does not work as well (that link is applicable to .NET 1.1 though). Any idea whats going on?

    Hello all, I'm trying to read all filenames from a specified (server- not client) folder, and insert all the filenames into a javascript Array. It should behave like the Directory.GetFiles method in ASP.NET C#. I created a new array, and I just need the loop method (Javascript or jQuery) to iterate in the specific folder, and insert all the filenames into the array. Thanks all helpers!

    I am trying to understand why after croping an image in .NET i end up with an image 3 times the size of the original image.     I wonder how long will an ASP.NET (MVC) application run, when no new requests come in? Lets say I'm using an IOC Container ans have a Singleton Object serving to the clients. As far as I know it will serve different page requests. But how long will it live when no new request come in? Is there any timeout (maybe configured through IIS) that says when my app will shut down?

    I have downloaded both samples for the Facebook Developer Kit from Codeplex and Facebook.NET followed both tutorials down to the word - But as soon as I browse to me app on Facebook I am getting the following error for BOTH versions? API Error Code: 100 API Error Description: Invalid parameter Error Message: Requires valid next URL. Anyone else had this problem? I'm struggling to find an answer to what the error actually means?     I have a asp.net table inside a scrollable div. I have created a matrix table in which the leftmost table cell acts as a fixed column by using css Position:relative. Now i have a ModalPopupExtender Over that table. When I am trying to open that on the left most cell(the cell which is relative) by clicking on it, the left cell disappears.     At face value, it would seem that object initializers present a problem for .net 4.0 "code contracts", where normally the invariant should be established by the time the object constructor is finished. Presumably, however, object-initializers require properties to be set after construction is complete. My question is if the invariants of "code contracts" are able to handle object initializers, "as if" the properties were set before the constructor completes? That would be very nice indeed!!

  • error loading (TypeLoadException) on asp.net/xsp/mono on debian/opensuse

    When i reset apache and load my website i get the first error below. I have no idea what the problem is. If i reload the page again (without restarting apache) i get the 2nd error, probably because the first error occurred and BaseUser is the first class/func that Application_Start uses. Why am i getting this load exception? Whats messed up is i tried using mono's VMWare img to debug it and i got the very same exception (until i restarted which now refuses to give me anything but 404 errors). However when i use mono develop to run the project the site runs PERFECT. WTF. Any ideas? Server Error in '/' Application A type load exception has occurred. Description: HTTP 500.
