  • How do I use rsync to sync my repo on my mac to university server where I have ssh access?

    I need to use my university's ssh access and run my programs there for testing. I don't have sudo access there. It doesn't have vncserver there either. I would work with vim and make but I need git at least. Now I am looking into rsync to sync my current source directory into a remote directory and I'll ssh into the directory and run my make file to test it. I am looking at the man page of rsync and it looks very complicated. Can anyone please help me with this? I have googled in superuser and all commands seem different for different cases. Can anyone please help me with this?

    Hello All, I have installed Axapta server on my Axapta(Machine name) machine. When i am going to start the axapta at that time it give error like " connection with the application object server could not be established ". Basic all the steps that i have tested like Service start restart and connection configuration. port number problem. Still i am not able to resolve a problem. please can any one tell me the solution.     Hi friends, I have a local LAN to my office. Recently I designed a New Software system using PHP, MySQL for my office. My boss wants to see the reports from online. My problem is, my network connection is often failed to my office. But I have to input all time. So, now I want to use two instances of my software. One will be using the LAN and one will be uploaded to my server. My question is, how can I easily keep the both databases up-to-date always? Please help me with this issue.   • WPF & RenderTierCapability, what could cause a machine to be dropped from Tier 2 to 0?

    I'm having an issue on some imaged machines where they will started out on Tier 2 and after some time of use (they are well spec'd kiosk machines, quad-core, Nvidia 550Ti), they drop to Tier 0 and effectively become useless. Restarting the machine doesn't seem to help. This is a problem more than just "missing hardware acceleration" because my application requires D3DImage to function (which requires Tier 2). Thanks for any help!

    id appreciate any help in this matter this is in laptop with 2 harddrive bays. i have a wd scorpio that has become 2 small its bootable with windows 7, i have pretty new 3 months old hitachi hd500gb i was using for storage-backup of programs it is not bootable and id like to make it that way without losing saved backed up info on it is there any way to do this, id like to keep only 500gb bootable hard drive due to weight of laptop its 10.lbs desktop replacement gateway p-7805u thanks for your help in advance on this matter, tommy

  • Alias a linked Server in SQL server management studio?

    Hoping someone can help - is there a way in SQL server management studio 2008 R2 that I can alias a linked SQL server? I have a server, added by IP address, to which I do not have the login credentials - however as the connection is already setup I can login ok. Issue is that, this is a dev environment, prior to a live deployment and the IP I have as a linked server needs to be 'accessible' by my stored procs under a different name, eg 'myserver' not 192.168.xxx.xxx... Any help much appreciated.

  • Move a window back into the visible area in Xubuntu?

    I have this annoying little problem on my laptop that sometimes after I have used a external monitor (with higher resolution) some applications place them self outside the visible area of my desktop. So the question is how do I move them back into the visible area? (Please note, no part of the window is visible so I can't use the mouse.) Is there some app that can give me focus to move a application to the mouse pointer or something like that? Please note that I'm running Xubuntu (XFCE) on this laptop. Thanks

  • Browser keeps being really rude to me today

    Hi All I've had this problem only once before, years ago. I bought a new computer the other day and last night I visited a website which Google Chrome suspected was an insecure site. So I proceeded to view the page anyway (Stupid, I know... But I was curious), and all of a sudden the window closed and ever since, every few minutes either Google chrome or Internet Explorer keeps popping up with random websites, most of which are porn-related sites. I have downloaded ZoneAlarm, IOBit 360, Eset Smart Security and none of them reported any problems. I still have the rube browser problem. Can somebody please suggest any software/ways to fix this? (Other than to reformat please :)) Thank you :)

  • Recovering files from IIS system (inetsrv) directory?

    Some file from my inetsrv directory (c:\windows\system32\inetsrv) were accidentally removed. Is there a way to get them back? Reinstalling IIS server role doesn't help, because Windows doesn't remove inetsrv directory when removing the role. Copying files from another Server 2008 machine doesn't help neither.

  • I accidentally made my new hard drive (the non system drive) my primary partition

    Hi all, When installing a new hard drive, I accidentally formatted it using 'Disk Management' and set it up as my primary active partition, even though it isn't the system drive. Then, when I restarted my machine, Windows wouldn't boot, citing a missing or corrupt SYSTEM folder. Can anyone help me re-enable the system hard drive as my primary active partition? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For example: Someone opens the Data Driven Website on the Web Server and they should be able see the data that the website is trying to access from the Database.     My system is connected with a local LAN connection with 30 PC's. I'm not able to access the shared drive in the network, but I'm able to ping the IP address in which the drive is present. I have checked to start all the services, which are to be started and i have check the TCP/UDP ports also, but even after that I'm not able to access the drive, the same error message is being displayed again and again. Please help me to rectify the problem. I'm trying to solve the problem for the last 1 week. I have tried various solutions which are present in various web site, but I'm not able to find a proper solution. So please help me.

  • Upgrade PHP v5.3.3 to v5.3.4

    I currently have PHP v5.3.3 installed and configured. Everything is working perfectly, but I would like to keep PHP up to date and upgrade to v5.3.4. Can someone please describe the usual upgrade process for PHP when compiling manually? For example: is it just as easy as downloading the newest source, uncompressing it, compiling it using the same (or comparable) options that were used on the last version? Is there anything that has to be removed or changed from the previous version installed? I'm clueless. Please help!
