  • Drupal 6: creating different profiles to list at custom page adding page and selecting as many as i

    - by artmania
    Hi friends, I'm a newbie drupal... I'm working on my first Drupal project. I need to make an events page for some conferences. I create event content type, and creating fields like date-place-title-etc with CCK. There are also speakers, can be up to 20. each speaker has photo-namesurname-position. same speaker can be added to more than 1 event. So it is silly to create 60 fields (photo-name-position) for 20 speakers at event adding page. and expecting admin to fill all for an event adding action. there must be a way to create speakers additionally, and listing them at event adding page with checkboxes. and admin just select the speakers from the list, can be 1 or 20 speaker. how can create such thing? in what type should I create these speakers, so i can list them in event adding page for admin to select as many as he wants. Appreciate helps so much!! thanks a lot!

  • Determine if a directory is empty, delete it if it is and delete that directroy name from a separate list. C-shell

    - by Kg123
    I have a directory named STA. Within that directory are about 600 other directories that have the format hh:mm:ss (for example 00:01:34). Within each of these sub-directories should be three files. I also have a file, 'waveformlist', (contained within STA) which is a list of all of these sub-directories i.e.: 00:01:34 00:02:35 etc. A lot of the sub-directories do not contain these three files and are instead empty. I want to run a C-shell script to go through every sub directory and check if it is empty. If it is empty I want to delete that sub directory from the main directory STA, and also remove that sub-directory name from the list 'waveformlist'. Below is my script so far. It does not recognize when the sub-directory is empty or not and does not like the rm $dir line. Also, I do not know how to go and remove the sub-directory name from 'waveformlist'. #!/bin/csh echo "Enter name of station folder to apply filter to as 'STA' e.g. APZ:" set ans = $< cd $ans set c=0 foreach dir (*:*) if ("${c}" == 0) then echo "Empty directory:" $dir rm $dir else echo ${dir} "has files" endif end I hope I have been clear enough. Thank you.

  • How can I get a list of modified records from a SQL Server database?

    - by Pixelfish
    I am currently in the process of revamping my company's management system to run a little more lean in terms of network traffic. Right now I'm trying to figure out an effective way to query only the records that have been modified (by any user) since the last time I asked. When the application starts it loads the job information and caches it locally like the following: SELECT * FROM jobs. I am writing out the date/time a record was modified ala UPDATE jobs SET Widgets=@Widgets, LastModified=GetDate() WHERE JobID=@JobID. When any user requests the list of jobs I query all records that have been modified since the last time I requested the list like the following: SELECT * FROM jobs WHERE LastModified>=@LastRequested and store the date/time of the request to pass in as @LastRequest when the user asks again. In theory this will return only the records that have been modified since the last request. The issue I'm running into is when the user's date/time is not quite in sync with the server's date/time and also of server load when querying an un-indexed date/time column. Is there a more effective system then querying date/time information?

  • Beginner MVC question - Correct approach to render out a List and details?

    - by fizzer
    I'm trying to set up a page where I display a list of items and the details of the selected item. I have it working but wonder whether I have followed the correct approach. I'll use customers as an example I have set the aspx page to inherit from an IEnumerable of Customers. This seems to be the standard approach to display the list of items. For the Details I have added a Customer user control which inherits from customer. I think i'm on the right track so far but I was a bit confused as to where I should store the id of the customer whose details I intend to display. I wanted to make the id optional in the controller action so that the page could be hit using "/customers" or "customers/1" so I made the arg optional and stored the id in the ViewData like this: public ActionResult Customers(string id = "0") { Models.DBContext db = new Models.DBContext(); var cList = db.Customers.OrderByDescending(c => c.CustomerNumber); if (id == "0") { ViewData["CustomerNumber"] = cList.First().CustomerNumber.ToString(); } else { ViewData["CustomerNumber"] = id; } return View("Customers", cList); } I then rendered the User control using RenderPartial in the front end: <%var CustomerList = from x in Model where x.CustomerNumber == Convert.ToInt32(ViewData["CustomerNumber"]) select x; Customer c = (Customer)CustomerList.First(); %> <% Html.RenderPartial("Customer",c); %> Then I just have an actionLink on each listed item: <%: Html.ActionLink("Select", "Customers", new { id = item.CustomerNumber })% It all seems to work but as MVC is new to me I would just be interested in others thoughts on whether this is a good approach?

  • select list modified on-the-fly doesn't fire onChange() for new first element.

    - by staremperor
    In the code below, I'm using jquery 1.4.1 to modify the options in a select list when the user clicks on the list (replacing the single Old item with three New items). Selecting either New 2 or New 3 correctly fires the change() method (and show the alert), but selecting "New 1" does not. What am I missing? Thanks. <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.1.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $("#dropdown").mousedown(function() { $(this).empty(); $(this).append($("<option></option>").attr("value",100).text("New 1")); $(this).append($("<option></option>").attr("value",200).text("New 2")); $(this).append($("<option></option>").attr("value",300).text("New 3")); }); $("#dropdown").change(function() { alert($(this).val()); }); }); </script> <body> <select id="dropdown"><option value="1">Old 1</option></select>

  • How can I generate a list of #define values from C code?

    - by djs
    I have code that has a lot of complicated #define error codes that are not easy to decode since they are nested through several levels. Is there any elegant way I can get a list of #defines with their final numerical values (or whatever else they may be)? As an example: <header1.h> #define CREATE_ERROR_CODE(class, sc, code) ((class << 16) & (sc << 8) & code)) #define EMI_MAX 16 <header2.h> #define MI_1 EMI_MAX <header3.h> #define MODULE_ERROR_CLASS MI_1 #define MODULE_ERROR_SUBCLASS 1 #define ERROR_FOO CREATE_ERROR_CODE(MODULE_ERROR_CLASS, MODULE_ERROR_SUBCLASS, 1) I would have a large number of similar #defines matching ERROR_[\w_]+ that I'd like to enumerate so that I always have a current list of error codes that the program can output. I need the numerical value because that's all the program will print out (and no, it's not an option to print out a string instead). Suggestions for gcc or any other compiler would be helpful.

  • (Python/Pyramid) Better ways to have standard list/form editors?

    - by badcat
    I'm working on a number of Pyramid (former Pylons) projects, and often I have the need to display a list of some content (let's say user accounts, log entries or simply some other data). A user should be able to paginate through the list, click on a row and get a form where he/she can edit the contents of that row. Right now I'm always re-inventing the wheel by having Mako templates which use webhelpers for the pagination, Jquery UI for providing a dialog and I craft the editor form and AJAX requests on the client and server side by hand. As you may know, this eats up painfully much time. So what I'm wondering is: Is there a better way of providing lists, editor dialog and server/client communication about this, without having to re-invent the wheel every time? I heard Django takes off a big load of that by providing user accounts and other stuff out of the box; but in my case it's not just about user accounts, it can be any kind of data that is stored on the server-side in a SQL database, which should be able to be edited by a user. Thanks in advance!

  • Given a linked list of numbers. Swap every 2 adjacent links.

    - by Learner
    Given a linked list of numbers. Swap every 2 adjacent links. For eg if a linked list given to you is- a-b-c-d-e-f O/p expected- b-a-d-c-f-e Every 2 alternate links have to be swapped. I have written a solution here. Can you suggest me some other solution. Can you comment on my solution and help me better write it? void SwapAdjacentNodes (Node head) { if (head == null) return; if (head.next == null) return; Node curr = head; Node next = curr.Next; Node temp = next.Next; while (true) { temp = next.Next; next.Next = curr; curr.Next = temp; if (curr.Next != null) curr = curr.Next; else break; if (curr.Next.Next!=null) next = curr.Next.Next; else break; } }

  • ASP.NET MVC: How to show value in a label from selected Drop Down List item?

    - by Lillie
    Hi! I'm trying to show a value of selected Drop Down List item in a label. I managed to make this work with Web Forms but with MVC I'm totally lost. My Index looks like this: [...] <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <table> <tr> <td>Processor</td> <td><%= Html.DropDownList("lstProcessor1", new SelectList((IEnumerable)ViewData["Processor1List"], "product_price", "product_description")) %></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Total Amount</td> <td>0,00 €</td> </tr> </table> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> <% } %> [...] And my HomeController starts with: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Web; using System.Web.Mvc; using System.Web.Mvc.Ajax; using MvcApplication1.Models; namespace MvcApplication1.Controllers { [HandleError] public class HomeController : Controller { // Connect database DB50DataContext _ctx = new DB50DataContext(); // GET: /Home/ public ActionResult Index() { // Search: Processors var products = from prod in _ctx.products where prod.product_searchcode == "processor1" select prod; ViewData["Processort1List"] = products; return View(); } I would like the product_price to show on the second line of the table, where it now says 0,00 €. It should also update the price automatically when the item from the Drop Down List is changed. I guess I should use JQuery but I have no idea how. Could someone please give me some tips how to do this?

  • Finding k elements of length-n list that sum to less than t in O(nlogk) time

    - by tresbot
    This is from Programming Pearls ed. 2, Column 2, Problem 8: Given a set of n real numbers, a real number t, and an integer k, how quickly can you determine whether there exists a k-element subset of the set that sums to at most t? One easy solution is to sort and sum the first k elements, which is our best hope to find such a sum. However, in the solutions section Bentley alludes to a solution that takes nlog(k) time, though he gives no hints for how to find it. I've been struggling with this; one thought I had was to go through the list and add all the elements less than t/k (in O(n) time); say there are m1 < k such elements, and they sum to s1 < t. Then we are left needing k - m1 elements, so we can scan through the list again in O(n) time looking for all elements less than (t - s1)/(k - m1). Add in again, to get s2 and m2, then again if m2 < k, look for all elements less than (t - s2)/(k - m2). So: def kSubsetSumUnderT(inList, k, t): outList = [] s = 0 m = 0 while len(outList) < k: toJoin = [i for i in inList where i < (t - s)/(k - m)] if len(toJoin): if len(toJoin) >= k - m: toJoin.sort() if(s0 + sum(toJoin[0:(k - m - 1)]) < t: return True return False outList = outList + toJoin s += sum(toJoin) m += len(toJoin) else: return False My intuition is that this might be the O(nlog(k)) algorithm, but I am having a hard time proving it to myself. Thoughts?

  • C++ Mutexes and STL Lists Across Subclasses

    - by Genesis
    I am currently writing a multi-threaded C++ server using Poco and am now at the point where I need to be keeping information on which users are connected, how many connections each of them have, and given it is a proxy server, where each of those connections are proxying through to. For this purpose I have created a ServerStats class which holds an STL list of ServerUser objects. The ServerStats class includes functions which can add and remove objects from the list as well as find a user in the list an return a pointer to them so I can access member functions within any given ServerUser object in the list. The ServerUser class contains an STL list of ServerConnection objects and much like the ServerStats class it contains functions to add, remove and find elements within this list. Now all of the above is working but I am now trying to make it threadsafe. I have defined a Poco::FastMutex within the ServerStats class and can lock/unlock this in the appropriate places so that STL containers are not modified at the same time as being searched for example. I am however having an issue setting up mutexes within the ServerUser class and am getting the following compiler error: /root/poco/Foundation/include/Poco/Mutex.h: In copy constructor âServerUser::ServerUser(const ServerUser&)â: src/SocksServer.cpp:185: instantiated from âvoid __gnu_cxx::new_allocator<_Tp::construct(_Tp*, const _Tp&) [with _Tp = ServerUser]â /usr/include/c++/4.4/bits/stl_list.h:464: instantiated from âstd::_List_node<_Tp* std::list<_Tp, _Alloc::_M_create_node(const _Tp&) [with _Tp = ServerUser, _Alloc = std::allocator]â /usr/include/c++/4.4/bits/stl_list.h:1407: instantiated from âvoid std::list<_Tp, _Alloc::_M_insert(std::_List_iterator<_Tp, const _Tp&) [with _Tp = ServerUser, _Alloc = std::allocator]â /usr/include/c++/4.4/bits/stl_list.h:920: instantiated from âvoid std::list<_Tp, _Alloc::push_back(const _Tp&) [with _Tp = ServerUser, _Alloc = std::allocator]â src/SocksServer.cpp:301: instantiated from here /root/poco/Foundation/include/Poco/Mutex.h:164: error: âPoco::FastMutex::FastMutex(const Poco::FastMutex&)â is private src/SocksServer.cpp:185: error: within this context In file included from /usr/include/c++/4.4/x86_64-linux-gnu/bits/c++allocator.h:34, from /usr/include/c++/4.4/bits/allocator.h:48, from /usr/include/c++/4.4/string:43, from /root/poco/Foundation/include/Poco/Bugcheck.h:44, from /root/poco/Foundation/include/Poco/Foundation.h:147, from /root/poco/Net/include/Poco/Net/Net.h:45, from /root/poco/Net/include/Poco/Net/TCPServerParams.h:43, from src/SocksServer.cpp:1: /usr/include/c++/4.4/ext/new_allocator.h: In member function âvoid __gnu_cxx::new_allocator<_Tp::construct(_Tp*, const _Tp&) [with _Tp = ServerUser]â: /usr/include/c++/4.4/ext/new_allocator.h:105: note: synthesized method âServerUser::ServerUser(const ServerUser&)â first required here src/SocksServer.cpp: At global scope: src/SocksServer.cpp:118: warning: âstd::string getWord(std::string)â defined but not used make: * [/root/poco/SocksServer/obj/Linux/x86_64/debug_shared/SocksServer.o] Error 1 The code for the ServerStats, ServerUser and ServerConnection classes is below: class ServerConnection { public: bool continue_connection; int bytes_in; int bytes_out; string source_address; string destination_address; ServerConnection() { continue_connection = true; } ~ServerConnection() { } }; class ServerUser { public: string username; int connection_count; string client_ip; ServerUser() { } ~ServerUser() { } ServerConnection* addConnection(string source_address, string destination_address) { //FastMutex::ScopedLock lock(_connection_mutex); ServerConnection connection; connection.source_address = source_address; connection.destination_address = destination_address; client_ip = getWord(source_address, ":"); _connections.push_back(connection); connection_count++; return &_connections.back(); } void removeConnection(string source_address) { //FastMutex::ScopedLock lock(_connection_mutex); for(list<ServerConnection>::iterator it = _connections.begin(); it != _connections.end(); it++) { if(it->source_address == source_address) { it = _connections.erase(it); connection_count--; } } } void disconnect() { //FastMutex::ScopedLock lock(_connection_mutex); for(list<ServerConnection>::iterator it = _connections.begin(); it != _connections.end(); it++) { it->continue_connection = false; } } list<ServerConnection>* getConnections() { return &_connections; } private: list<ServerConnection> _connections; //UNCOMMENTING THIS LINE BREAKS IT: //mutable FastMutex _connection_mutex; }; class ServerStats { public: int current_users; ServerStats() { current_users = 0; } ~ServerStats() { } ServerUser* addUser(string username) { FastMutex::ScopedLock lock(_user_mutex); for(list<ServerUser>::iterator it = _users.begin(); it != _users.end(); it++) { if(it->username == username) { return &(*it); } } ServerUser newUser; newUser.username = username; _users.push_back(newUser); current_users++; return &_users.back(); } void removeUser(string username) { FastMutex::ScopedLock lock(_user_mutex); for(list<ServerUser>::iterator it = _users.begin(); it != _users.end(); it++) { if(it->username == username) { _users.erase(it); current_users--; break; } } } ServerUser* getUser(string username) { FastMutex::ScopedLock lock(_user_mutex); for(list<ServerUser>::iterator it = _users.begin(); it != _users.end(); it++) { if(it->username == username) { return &(*it); } } return NULL; } private: list<ServerUser> _users; mutable FastMutex _user_mutex; }; Now I have never used C++ for a project of this size or mutexes for that matter so go easy please :) Firstly, can anyone tell me why the above is causing a compiler error? Secondly, can anyone suggest a better way of storing the information I require? Bear in mind that I need to update this info whenever connections come or go and it needs to be global to the whole server.

  • why isn't my id showing up in django admin list?

    - by FurtiveFelon
    Hi all, I have a class Task(models.Model), and i didn't define id field explicitly (since it defines automatically for you). I checked in the database, it exists for the Task. Now i would like to display it in the list via list_display property in admin.ModelAdmin. I have a bunch of things in there, only id is not showing up for any of the rows i have. Everything else works fine. Anyone know anything special i have to do to get id to display? Thanks a lot! Jason

  • Silverlight data binding to parent user control's properties with using MVVM in both controls

    - by MagicMax
    Hello! I have two UserControls ("UserControlParentView" and "UserControlChildView") with MVVM pattern implemented in both controls. Parent control is a container for Child control and child control's property should be updated by data binding from Parent control in order to show/hide some check box inside Child control. Parent Control Description UserControlParentViewModel has property: private bool isShowCheckbox = false; public bool IsShowCheckbox { get { return isShowCheckbox; } set { isShowCheckbox = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("IsShowCheckbox"); } } UserControlParentViewModel - how I set DataContext of Parent control: public UserControlParentView() { InitializeComponent(); this.DataContext = new UserControlParentViewModel(); } UserControlParentView contains toggle button (in XAML), bound to UserControlParentViewModel's property IsShowCheckbox <ToggleButton Grid.Column="1" IsChecked="{Binding IsShowCheckbox, Mode=TwoWay}"></ToggleButton> Also Parent control contains instance of child element (somewhere in XAML) <local:UserControlChildView IsCheckBoxVisible="{Binding IsShowCheckbox}" ></local:UserControlChildView> so property in child control should be updated when user togggle/untoggle button. Child control contains Boolean property to be updated from parent control, but nothing happened! Breakpoint never fired! Property in UserControlChildView that should be updated from Parent control (here I plan to make chechBox visible/hidden in code behind): public bool IsCheckBoxVisible { get { return (bool)GetValue(IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty); } set { SetValue(IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty, value); } } // Using a DependencyProperty as the backing store for IsCheckBoxVisible. This enables animation, styling, binding, etc... public static readonly DependencyProperty IsCheckBoxVisibleProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("IsCheckBoxVisible", typeof(bool), typeof(TopMenuButton), new PropertyMetadata(false)); So the question is - what I'm doing wrong? Why child's property is never updated? BTW - there is no any binding error warnings in Output window...

  • How to make Delphi Prism indexed properties visible to C# when properties are not default

    - by Arcturus
    I have several Delphi Prism classes with indexed properties that I use a lot on my C# web applications (we are migrating a big Delphi Win32 system to ASP.Net). My problem is that it seems that C# can't see the indexed properties if they aren't the default properties of their classes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm completely lost. I know that this question looks a lot like a bug report, but I need to know if someone else knows how to solve this before I report a bug. If I have a class like this: TMyClass = public class private ... method get_IndexedBool(index: Integer): boolean; method set_IndexedBool(index: Integer; value: boolean); public property IndexedBool[index: Integer]: boolean read get_IndexedBool write set_IndexedBool; default; // make IndexedBool the default property end; I can use this class in C# like this: var myObj = new TMyClass(); myObj[0] = true; However, if TMyClass is defined like this: TMyClass = public class private ... method get_IndexedBool(index: Integer): boolean; method set_IndexedBool(index: Integer; value: boolean); public property IndexedBool[index: Integer]: boolean read get_IndexedBool write set_IndexedBool; // IndexedBool is not the default property anymore end; Then the IndexedBool property becomes invisible in C#. The only way I can use it is doing this: var myObj = new TMyClass(); myObj.set_IndexedBool(0, true); I don't know if I'm missing something, but I can't see the IndexedBool property if I remove the default in the property declaration. Besides that, I'm pretty sure that it is wrong to have direct access to a private method of a class instance. Any ideas?

  • Dynamically specify and change a Silverlight DataGrid's columns during runtime (MVVM)

    - by Biggert
    What's the best method of dynamically specifying DataGrid columns in the Silverlight DataGrid control at runtime following the MVVM pattern? What I'd like to do would be bind the "DataGrid.Columns" property to a property in my ViewModel so that, if the user adds/removes columns, I simply update the ViewModel property and the DataGrid would change. Problem is, the "DataGrid.Columns" property can't be bound to (I don't think). Because this property isn't available nor is the DataGrid control itself available at the ViewModel level, my current approach is to step outside of the MVVM pattern for this particular implementation and capture certain events in View's code-behind using MVVM Light's Messenger class and then talk directly with the DataGrid control to achieve this capability. I know this is a general statement to this approach without details but is there an easier way... or maybe not so much easier, but a better way that adheres to the MVVM pattern a little better? It's driving me crazy that the DataGrid control's Columns property can't be bound... seems like such a simple thing. FYI - Before it's suggested to use AutoGenerateColumns = True, the class being bound for each item in the collection that's bound to DataGrid.ItemsSource does not have individual properties to identify what is bound to the columns... it's a collection property that contains the columns in order to keep them completely dynamic so that particular path is out. Also, handling the AutoGeneratingColumns and using e.Cancel to show/hide columns is also iffy for this same reason (I think).

  • How to apply stereotypes on UML Relationships' MemberEnds?

    I'm running this code on a UML Class Diagram, and it works just fine, but when trying to apply stereotypes from PropertiesEditor in Visual Studio for relationship ends (FirstRole and SecondRole), the stereotypes combo doesn't load even if in code there seems to be applicable stereotypes valid for association properties. What should I put in metaclasses tag in the UML profile except for IProperty? <metaclassMoniker name="/MyUmlProfile/Microsoft.VisualStudio.Uml.Classes.IProperty"/> This is the code: using Microsoft.VisualStudio.Uml.Classes; foreach( IShape shape in currentDiagram.GetSelectedShapes<IElement>() ) { IElement element = shape.GetElement(); foreach( IStereotype stereotype in element.ApplicableStereotypes ) { if( element is Microsoft.VisualStudio.Uml.Classes.IClass ) { IClass classItem = (IClass)element; if( classItem.SuperClasses.Count() > 0 ) { if( stereotype.Name == "SubclassAttribute" ) { element.ApplyStereotype( stereotype ); } } else if( stereotype.Name == "ClassAttribute" ) { element.ApplyStereotype( stereotype ); } } else if( element is Microsoft.VisualStudio.Uml.Classes.IProperty ) { IProperty property = (IProperty)element; if( property.Association != null ) { if( stereotype.Name == "Set" && property.UpperValue != null && property.UpperValue.ToString() == "*" ) { element.ApplyStereotype( stereotype ); } else if( stereotype.Name == "ManyToOne" && ( property.UpperValue == null || property.UpperValue.ToString() == "1" ) ) { element.ApplyStereotype( stereotype ); } } else if( stereotype.Name == "Property" ) { element.ApplyStereotype( stereotype ); } } } }

  • MSBuild 2010 - how to publish web app to a specific location (nant)?

    - by Mr. Flibble
    I'm trying to get MSBuild 2010 to publish a web app to a specific location. I can get it to publish the deployment package to a particular path, but the deployment package then adds it's own path that changes. For example: if I tell it to publish to C:\dev\build\Output\Debug then the actual web files end up at C:\dev\build\Output\Debug\Archive\Content\C_C\code\sawadee\frontend\IPP-FrontEnd\Source\ControllersViews\obj\Debug\Package\PackageTmp And the C_C part of the path changes (not sure how it chooses this part of the path). This means I can't just script a copy from the publish location. I'm using this nant/msbuild command at the moment: <target name="compile" description="Compiles"> <msbuild project="${name}.sln"> <property name="Platform" value="Any CPU"/> <property name="Configuration" value="Debug"/> <property name="DeployOnBuild" value="true"/> <property name="DeployTarget" value="Package"/> <property name="PackageLocation" value="C:\dev\build\Output\Debug\"/> <property name="AutoParameterizationWebConfigConnectionStrings" value="false"/> <property name="PackageAsSingleFile" value="false"/> </msbuild> Any ideas on how to get it to send the web files directly to a specific location?

  • NSXMLParser & memory leaks

    - by HBR
    Hi, I am parsing an XML file using a custom class that instanciates & uses NSXMLParser. On the first call everything is fine but on the second, third and later calls Instruments show tens of memory leaks on certain lines inside didEndElement, didEndElement and foundCharacters functions. I googled it and found some people having this issue, but I didn't find anything that could really help me. My Parser class looks like this : Parser.h @interface XMLParser : NSObject { NSMutableArray *data; NSMutableString *currentValue; NSArray *xml; NSMutableArray *videos; NSMutableArray *photos; NSXMLParser *parser; NSURLConnection *feedConnection; NSMutableData *downloadedData; Content *content; Video *video; BOOL nowPhoto; BOOL nowVideo; BOOL finished; BOOL webTV; } -(void)parseXML:(NSURL*)xmlURL; -(int)getCount; [feed release]; // Parse feed NSString *url = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"MyXMLURL"]; [[self rssParser] parseXML:[NSURL URLWithString:url]]; Now the problem is that after the first (which has zero leaks), instruments shows leaks in too many parts like this one (they are too much to enumerate them all, but all the calls look the same, I made the leaking line bold) : in didEndElement : if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"link"]) { // THIS LINE IS LEAKING => INSTRUMENTS SAYS IT IS A NSCFString LEAK [self content] setUrl:[NSURL URLWithString:cleanValue]]; [[self content] setLink: cleanValue]; } Any idea how to fix this pealse ? Could this be the same problem as the one mentioned (as an apple bug) by Lee Amtrong here :http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1598928/nsxmlparser-leaking

  • I'm using spring, hibernate and mysql. How can I let my app create the table automatically.

    - by Yousui
    Hi guys, I'm using spring, all my annotated entity class information are put in the ApplicationContext.xml. I'm using a MySql database, now how can I use the SchemaExport function in hibernate to create the tables? My application can't create the table automatically, though i have set <prop key="hbm2ddl.auto">create</prop>. This is my ApplicationContext.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:aop="http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context" xmlns:jdbc="http://www.springframework.org/schema/jdbc" xmlns:jee="http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee" xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/jdbc http://www.springframework.org/schema/jdbc/spring-jdbc-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee/spring-jee-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx/spring-tx-3.0.xsd"> <bean id="dataSource" class="org.springframework.jdbc.datasource.DriverManagerDataSource"> <property name="driverClassName" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" /> <property name="url" value="jdbc:mysql:///edde" /> <property name="username" value="root" /> <property name="password" value="" /> </bean> <bean id="sessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.annotation.AnnotationSessionFactoryBean"> <property name="dataSource" ref="dataSource" /> <property name="annotatedClasses"> <list> <value>com.edde.Book</value> </list> </property> <property name="hibernateProperties"> <props> <prop key="current_session_context_class">thread</prop> <prop key="show_sql">true</prop> <prop key="hbm2ddl.auto">create</prop> <prop key="hibernate.show_sql">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.use_sql_comments">true</prop> <prop key="hibernate.format_sql">true</prop> </props> </property> </bean> <bean id="transactionManager" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateTransactionManager"> <property name="sessionFactory" ref="sessionFactory" /> </bean> <tx:annotation-driven transaction-manager="transactionManager" /> <bean id="bookDao" class="com.edde.BookDao"> <property name="sessionFactory" ref="sessionFactory"></property> </bean> <bean id="bookService" class="com.edde.BookServiceImpl"> <property name="dao" ref="bookDao"></property> </bean> </beans> This is my test application: package com.edde; import org.springframework.context.support.ClassPathXmlApplicationContext; public class Test { /** * @param args */ public static void main(String[] args) { ClassPathXmlApplicationContext factory = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("applicationContext.xml"); BookService service = (BookService) factory.getBean("bookService"); Book book = new Book(); book.setBookName("great book"); service.saveBook(book); } } When I run my app, I get this error: 2010-05-20 17:25:20,777 DEBUG [org.hibernate.SQL] - /* insert com.edde.Book */ insert into Book (author, bookName, publication) values (?, ?, ?)   • Interception with Unity in Prism v2 for WPF (not working for me)

    - by Bobby Chopra
    I cannot get interception to work with Prism v2 (Oct 2009). I am trying to intercept the Setter for any Public Properties and then fire the PropertyChanged event if the property has changed. I can see that the code gets executed (by stepping through with the debugger or adding a debug point). However, the WPF Window controls that are bound to these properties do not get updated. If I subscribe to these events and print to the console, I can print out the property change notifications. So, if the View has a textbox, which updates the property on the ViewModel, then the property in the ViewModel gets updated. However, if a button on the view (implemented as a DelegateCommand) causes the property to get updated, then the textbox (TwoWay Binding Mode) that is bound to that Property is not updated even though the event is triggered and the console has printed out the information about which property was updated. Has anyone encountered this issue? Here is the sample WPF Application that I have written. Wordpress doesn't allow uploads of zip files, so I renamed it to have a pdf extension (rename the file to have a zip extension). Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

  • Entity Framework - Foreign key constraints not added for inherited entity

    - by Tri Q
    Hello, It appears to me that a strange phenomenon is occurring with inherited entities (TPT) in EF4. I have three entities. 1. Asset 2. Property 3. Activity Property is a derived-type of Asset. Property has many activities (many-to-many) When modeling this in my EDMX, everything seems fine until I try to insert a new Property into the database. If the property does not contain any Activity, it works, but all hell breaks loose when I add some new activities to the new Property. As it turns out after 2 days of crawling the web and fiddling around, I noticed that in the EF store (SSDL) some of the constraints between entities were not picked up during the update process. Property_Activity table which links properties and activities show only one constraint FK_Property_Activity_Activity but FK_Property_Activity_Property was missing. I knew this is an Entity Framework anomoly because when I switched the relationship in the database to: Asset <-- Asset_Activity <-- Activity After an update, all foreign key constraints are picked up and the save is successful, with or without activities in the new property. Is this intended or a bug in EF? How do I get around this problem? Should I abandon inheritance altogether?

  • Eclipselink update existing tables

    - by javydreamercsw
    Maybe I got it wrong but i though that JPA was able to update an existing table (model changed adding a column) but is not working in my case. I can see in the logs eclipselink attempting to create it but failing because it already exists. Instead of trying an update to add the column it keeps going. (Had to remove some < so it displays) property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.url" value="jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/jwrestling"/ property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.password" value="password"/ property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.driver" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"/ property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.user" value="user"/ property name="eclipselink.ddl-generation" value="create-tables"/ property name="eclipselink.logging.logger" value="org.eclipse.persistence.logging.DefaultSessionLog"/ property name="eclipselink.logging.level" value="INFO"/ And here's the table with the change (online column added) [EL Warning]: 2010-05-31 14:39:06.044--ServerSession(16053322)--Exception [EclipseLink-4002] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.1.0.v20100517-r7246): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DatabaseException Internal Exception: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'account' already exists Error Code: 1050 Call: CREATE TABLE account (ID INTEGER NOT NULL, USERNAME VARCHAR(32) NOT NULL, SECURITY_KEY VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, EMAIL VARCHAR(64) NOT NULL, STATUS VARCHAR(8) NOT NULL, TIMEDATE DATETIME NOT NULL, PASSWORD VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, ONLINE TINYINT(1) default 0 NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (ID)) Query: DataModifyQuery(sql="CREATE TABLE account (ID INTEGER NOT NULL, USERNAME VARCHAR(32) NOT NULL, SECURITY_KEY VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, EMAIL VARCHAR(64) NOT NULL, STATUS VARCHAR(8) NOT NULL, TIMEDATE DATETIME NOT NULL, PASSWORD VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL, ONLINE TINYINT(1) default 0 NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (ID))") [EL Warning]: 2010-05-31 14:39:06.074--ServerSession(16053322)--Exception [EclipseLink-4002] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.1.0.v20100517-r7246): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DatabaseException After this it continues with the following. Am I doing something wrong or is a bug?

  • How to do OrderBY on XML column in SQL SERVER 2008

    - by Rohit
    I am creating a comma seperated values of columns specified in dbName attribute of below xml. Now i want to concatenate those columns on the basic of Position attribute. DECLARE @varXML AS XML = '<gridFormat> <column property="FacilityInternalID" dbName="Pname" HeaderText="TAT Health" IsVisible="1" Position="1" /> <column property="FacilityInternalID" dbName="Priority" HeaderText="Priority" IsVisible="1" Position="2" /> <column property="FacilityInternalID" dbName="JobID" HeaderText="Job Number" IsVisible="1" Position="3" /> <column property="FacilityInternalID" dbName="Status" HeaderText="Status" IsVisible="1" Position="6" /> <column property="FacilityInternalID" dbName="name" HeaderText="Customer" IsVisible="1" Position="4" /> <column property="FacilityInternalID" dbName="sname" HeaderText="Facility " IsVisible="1" Position="5" /> </gridFormat>' PRINT @varXML This is the query by which I am generating CSV of columns. I have to use it is select list. SELECT @ColumnsToDisplay = LEFT(MyCsvList, LEN(MyCsvList) - 1) FROM ( SELECT ( SELECT row.value('@property', 'varchar(200)') + ', ' AS [text()] FROM @varXML.nodes('gridFormat/column') AS d ( row ) FOR XML PATH('') ) AS MyCsvList ) AS MyCsvListFinal SET @SQL = 'SELECT ' + @ColumnsToDisplay + ' FROM JobListingDetails' Result should be select Pname,Priority,JobID,name,sname,status FROM JobListingDetails. Please help.
